Thanks for finding us and supporting us! This channel is made for an additional resource for you guys. We are more than happy to help and provide resources! Thank you!
Thanks for pointing this out, comes in really handy. Any way to increase and set the volume as it’s a little low for me. I tried but so far no luck. Thanks!
When you say it only works when screen is locked - can I be listening to music or audiobooks while I walk & still use this feature. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks, Brian. I just watched your video and set my IPhone up. Looking forward to tomorrow to see how this works. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!
I am on TH-cam a lot and feel pretty up to date but have learned a couple new things from your videos. Thank you! I am still investigating Roku for TV streaming as you suggest . Wondering if I can listen to through my phone and my wife through the speakers on the tv or headphones?
Hi Brian, just hooked up this notification service from my wife’s iPhone to her Costco Jabra hearing aids! What a great feature, she loves it, thanks for the great tip, didn’t even know it was availability!
Thank you, brother Brian, for your patience and clarity! Both are becoming rarer and rarer in the world and on the Web. One teeny-tiny question: I’m using my K10s, which have thankfully experienced no “charging issues” yet. However, following your instructions, my iPhone 12 Pro displays slightly different labeling (“Allow Notifications,” instead of “Announce Notifications“) and so, unfortunately, this functionality does not kick in. Could you possibly add a mini-addendum for those of us who have K10s and connect via Bluetooth rather than Wi-Fi? Or is that not a problem at all and I have just taken a wrong turn somewhere in following you? Keep up the great work in educating us!
This probably won't work with your KS10's since they are not mFi hearing aids (made for iphone) they do not connect to the iPhone via the accessibility menu. You would need a mfi hearing aid like the jabra, rexton or Philips. You did nothing wrong.
@@HearingClub Thank Y O U, again, Brian! Every other feature works with my K10s, and I can of course “stream” TH-cam videos as well as telephone calls to them perfectly. So, then, is the glitch here in the fact that they connect by using Bluetooth and not Wi-Fi?
Brian, Thank you for all of your thoughtful videos. One small request, using an elderly mom as the example is ageist and demoralizing, particularly when the likely vast majority of your subscribers are seniors. I am a senior and on a constant crusade to let younger people know that we find this offensive, Zombie apocalypse or not. Thanks again for producing these.. Still a fan!
Hi thanks for answers to some questions I had.. wondering how to see your videos in order. I made the decision to get the Audien--decided not to gro with the most expensive (Jabra) because of the wax filter situation...
Love, love, love your videos!!!! How do you use a stethoset with hearing aids in? I have nurses and doctors wanting to use stethoscopes with hearing aids and I'm not sure how to advise them. That'd be a great video idea - hint, hint. ;)
Hi Brian, I loved the feature! I don't miss any messages. Question: I have an Iphone 15. When I answer a phone call I hear very well the person on the phone bit the other doesn't"t hear me very well. if I put the microphone close to the mouths it helps just a little but it is not enough. I was wondering if there is a feature in Jabra app or on the phone that can raise the volume? Thanks.
Kind of. If this is an iPhone, the default setting uses the microphone on the hearing aid. You can change this setting using the secret hearing aid menu by triple clicking the side button that locks the screen. You want to turn off "mic input" this will use the microphone on the phone instead.
Update - I found HA “announce when connected to” feature and turned it On under the already checked Announce Notifications, not under Siri Suggestions. So keep in mind the video presenter step by step shared instructions are not accurate for every iPhone model I guess, so keep in mind when setting this text notification feature for your HA. Hope this clarification will help some viewers like in my particular case. I have iPhone 12 Pro Max. Following with your notification setup I was not able to follow with step opening Siri Suggestions in Notification where you’re saying - make sure HA are on? There is no listed HA (my Resound Omnia 9 HA in Siri Suggestions section is not listed as you show)? Even if my HA are recognized by my iPhone in Accessibility steps before this Notification step outlined. So, what is your suggestion to complete the Notification settings accordingly?
Thanks, I’ll set that up. I have the Philips from Costco since January. Love it that calls come into my ears but how do I pick up and hang up remotely?
as long as it's an iPhone, just click one of the hearing aid buttons, it should be setup by default. Can i ask you a question? Does the background music bother you?
John, I just found your channel. You do a great job making things easy to understand. I’ve been a Starkey user for about 7 years now and love their intergration with iphone. I’ve only watched a couple of your videos so far and notice you never mention Starkey. Is it because your company does not represent them or you find their products inferior?
I just got my Hearlink 9040 aids at Costco, and I enabled messages on my iPhone. It works, but I can hardly hear the messages. Much quieter that streaming podcasts or talking on the phone. Can you suggest a fix?
Hi Brian, I had this feature on my iPhone installed without even know it. So much that at the beginning I thought I was hearing things. It would be great if only Siri could talk a little louder (you know, I’m a little deaf!) is there a way to raise just the volume of her voice. Thank you .
I was able to get a comfortable volume by going on settings on my phone. but sorry I don't recall how I did it and I can"t reproduce it now.@@HearingClub
was your phone open and unlocked? It has to be a black screen, like if your phone was locked and in your pocket. And make sure siri has been turned on and activated
For all my joking, it’s obvious you care a lot about what your patient’s are going through. I wish you were in my state, so I can go to you! However, I’m sure plenty of audiologists in New Jersey are warm, fuzzy and caring.
Starting to wonder, do you work for Costco? You only see to push what they sell. My insurance doesn’t cover Costco but does cover Starkey. How about a comparison?
Yes I do work for costco. I don't push anything. I only tell people about the hearing aids that I know very much about. If you can read, you will also notice i in my about section and in every single video description, it will tell you I work for costco.
Can you have Siri read only messages from family, because all messages would be annoying, too many add calls. Thank you for your channel. I hope Humana will allow me to get the Jabra and yes, I have an IPhone 11. Be careful young man with us old ladies….we can surprise you at times! Hope you apologized to that lady…
Interesting my 2023 Silverado has this. I can be listening to Sirius and be interrupted to have a message read to me while I’m driving. It then asks if I want to respond. So cool.
I’m so glad I found your channel I’ve learned a lot about what my IPhone and hearing aids can do

Sorry Brian. Thought your name was John for some reason.
It works! Thanks, Carl
Google Assistant on an Android phone can do the same thing. Would you please consider doing a video on Auracast?
I'll look into it, not sure what it is but I will add this to the list. I'll give you a heads up via the hearing club community posts!
Hello! Looks like a great feature, but is it available only for certain languages? Don't see this option on my iPhone with Russian interface language
I’m not sure about the different languages.
My man, you are excellent, thanks for the tip!

I would have to play around with the setting to find the right one, there’s a lot of options on the iPhone and right this sec, no I’m not sure.
Any idea how to turn the volume up for those text notifications ?
im pretty sure you just use the phone volume buttons on the side. I'll see if theres a specific option for those notifications. mine is super loud lol
@ I searched how to. While siri is speaking the message, use the volume up button.
Cool! Just activated it. Thanks!!! Subscribed! New h/a user.
Alright! Thank you so much 😊
Have the ks9. Connect through Bluetooth. Don’t get an option to select hearing aids at the notifications menu. Bummer.
Ya they are one of the only prescription hearing aids that aren’t made for iPhone.
