    Thank you for this video!! My dad is Brazilian, I've been to the country quite a few times but always stayed with family. I plan to venture out on my own in the near future and this video just reinforced how incredible the country is 🇧🇷💕

    J&J, thank you so much for this wonderful series. I have been watching from the beginning and applaud all that you are doing. My husband and I love to travel, we have NEVER thought about house/pet sitting! This is now on our list for the future! We usually rent an apartment through VBRO or other site since we would rather live like the locals than stay in a hotel. This is even better! Take care of yourself, Jeremy! Hope you can get the medical care you need ASAP. Sometimes we learn lessons the hard way. 😞 Sending healing light and 💕,

    "German construction/influences"??? No way!!! This type of house is, clearly, one of the architectural styles of Brazil and not of another country. The type of floor, the roof, the door to the garden, allowing continuous air flow, the balcony. So this type of residential building, with an extensive balcony, and a typical garden with typical Brazilian plants has NOTHING to do with Germany or German architecture (even the tiles are tipically Brazilian). This type of house is found in many Brazilian states by the thousands, thousands and thousands. It is a typical construction of a Brazilian house in many parts of the country which even has several national architectural styles for houses (from colonial to the most modern).

    • @jillianandjeremy
      @jillianandjeremy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your comment. But it would help if you actually had more of the back story before you comment. The woman that literally had the house built from scratch, is a German National, and she had some of the specs of her house built with HER German influences. So yes, some of it is German influence. But thank you for watching and commenting. We appreciate it.

      @@jillianandjeremy Well, a house made in Brazil, by Brazilians, with typical Brazilian construction material, in the Brazilian climate, with Brazilian architecture, and just, let us say, just one or the other point to the taste of the original resident. And this is, basically, a house in many aspects typically Brazilian.

    • @jillianandjeremy
      @jillianandjeremy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jayf.1312 okie dokie. Just informing you of what the person who actually built the house, said it was based on, when she herself designed it. Don’t shoot the messenger. Her house. Her design drawn up according to her specs and certain design aspects (maybe interiors) were based on her German houses. Also, you can’t even see most of the house because it’s blurred out. So...🤷🏽‍♂️
      Either way....all we did was convey the information told to us by the person who built it.

      Thanks for the heads up. The explanation for this is in the description, but in short, the homeowner changed her mind on having her house shown, AFTER we posted this. So we had to edit it. At around 8:38 it picks back.
      Our apologies for that.

      Thank you so much!! That really means a lot. We wish that in this particular video, we didn’t have to blur out so much of the house tour. • @jillianandjeremy
      @jillianandjeremy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for watching! Glad you like the videos. Unfortunately we had to blur some parts. You can read the full explanation in the description, but long story short, the homeowner changed her mind on allowing us to put her house on TH-cam, when at first, she said it was ok. It wasn’t until after we uploaded it, that she changed her mind. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Why is the vidro blurred around the 7 minutes mark?

    • @jillianandjeremy
      @jillianandjeremy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want a little more info, you can check out the description, but in short, the homeowner decided that she “didn’t understand” our request to film the property we lived at for 3 months. After we made and posted the video. So, unfortunately, we blurred her house. So sorry you couldn’t see it. We will have many other, and even better places to show you soon! Cheers!

    So basically you guys just support yourself by doing house sitting?

    • @jillianandjeremy
      @jillianandjeremy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s part of it! We calculated that by housesitting for 3 months in Brazil, we saved about $6K. So housesitting isn’t exactly “supporting” us…it’s just helping us a great deal, by not having to spend money on lodging.
