DIY Stage 1 Porting 2003 Ford Lightning Blower and JC Customs idler pulleys

DIY Stage 1 Porting on the 2003 Lightning blower to increase boost and power. Also replacing idler pulleys with ones from JC Customs. Some of the items needed: die grinder, aluminum burr bits, sanding cones, rotabroach drill or large drill press, files. There is a lot going on in this video. I can understand that completely some people dont mind keeping them but you if you change your mind go with the flexalite 270 i love it on my lightning no troubles in the summer what so ever and so much more room to work around.@@builtmikesway1167

What was / is, the purpose of the added port? Also, the two lower holes for the rotor pack, are now open to the blower from the porting job. Did you just add some sealer to the threads of those bottom two bolts? Thanks

Yes the bottom two bolts are open to the blower, just some thread to keep the boost in the engine! The added port helps for direct airflow into the intercooler below the blower. I really hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for watching.

No I didnt, it's but the boost is max psi more and the stock computer can make up for it as long as you don't have many other mods. Thanks for watching I appreciate it.

Me gusta tu trabajo hermano.. me recomiendas hacerle eso a mi lightning y también portear las cabezas traigo en mente eso!! Ya trae polea en el cigüeñal le pondré la polea de 3 en el súper también abanicos eléctricos trae cuerpo de admiración igual al tuyo y también inyectores verdes

@@builtmikesway1167 ya trae heder largos, polea del cigüeñal, polea del súper 2.9 pulgadas, garganta Lpf, Intek jlt filtro de alto flujo inyectores performance., voy a meterle abanicos eléctricos ya quite el fanclutch, y voy a meterle un ventilador en el whatercooler chico, tubería de 2.5 del mofle y un Tun custom.... en estos días voy a quitar el súper para portear igual que tu lo hiciste bro... vamos a ver qué tal jala con todo eso.. saludos desde mexico y un abrazo bro..

Hey Mike im curious how much more power did the blower gain by porting the blower?
Why did you change the idler pullies? how does that help?
Im wanting to do the same to my 04 Lightning.
And do you recommend porting the heads because im wanting to do that too.

Hey man, I'm not sure on the power didn't haven't put it on a dyno just yet. The idea pulleys were changed cause one was bad and why not billet you know. Porting the head will forsure help ALOT. Yes I will be making a video on porting the heads, it's probably will be in two or three months before I get to that video. I'll try and do my best to make it soon.
