Thanks for a great review and tip session, and keep up the great work! (Make sure the doggo gets extra treats and belly rubs for being such a great co-player!)

This game was loads of fun when my friends and I played the 4 Player mode! Even with just one other player, it makes gathering the bones a lot easier, since one of you can take the high ground and the other stay on the bottom. Also, Freddy's flying forms topple before the might of 3 or 4 Shadow Warriors all jump kicking him in sequence!
I forgot about this game, it was hard but very fun. Im really enjoying watching your videos! They bring back so many memories, and you remind me of super fun NES games I totally forgot existed once, back when life in America was Awesome
I had Friday the 13th as a kid and my best friend had Nightmare on elm street, we always made it a thing to try not to get the same games! I love the music when your outside the houses!
20:15 That would be an awesome fight. The Emperor falling asleep and Freddy (TM) attacks him in the dream world. We had Jason vs. Freddy, now The Emperor vs. Freddy!
My older brother never let me play this game ,God! I hated him . but..when he was not home or was out on his date I took advantage boys lol I really love this channel !!! It hits the spot !!!
Brothers and I could never beat this game after numerous rentals and Santa finally dropping the game off Christmas morning. Thank you for playing this game and finally showing me the ending. Wonderful work.
Snotty NOES guy here. Just want to say the 2 ways to kill Freddy, in NOES 3, were really both part of a singular plan. They needed to consecrate his bones IRL, so he would be vulnerable enough to kill in the dream. Following sequels would suggest it didn't matter. Lover the channel!
"It's going to be the [house] all the way at the beginning of Elm Street so we're going to make our way over to the left." Last house on the left then? :P
My friends and I played this game but we always preferred Friday The 13th which is another LJN game. Nothing beats the game over screen..."You and your friends are all dead." Although I believe this one is a bit more imaginative and I love that Nightmare on Elm Street for the Nes was modeled after the best film in the series...The Dream Warriors.
I appreciate how much work you put into the presentation. The intro, the sidepanels, its all great. Anyway, I had no idea you could play this with four players. Seems like that'd make it way more fun!!
I got to play this one when it was new, with my Uncle who was a couple years older than me and essentially like my older brother. We loved this title, it was just a time where your imagination had to fill in the blanks. Great video, really like your format.
I always thought the bones were just for points. Of course, I never saw any of the movies until years later, my mother wouldn't let me see any of these movies, or the Friday 13th ones. Strange enough, she always made me watch the scariest zombie movies with her. And man, I remember that Xman game! I loved it. And the Back to the Future game was the bane of my existence. Mom wouldn't get me a new game until I beat it. Took forever, I'm better at turn based games.
I remember playing this at my daycare back in the day and having a really good time with it. I always wanted the 4-Score to do multiplayer with but now that I have an NES, the game, and the multitap I can't find the time to play the game. Such is life. Fantastic video. I do plan on going through this in single-player at some point so this is very helpful.
i love that you made sure to add the whole 4 player support for this game.. i remember there werent many of those games for the NES or even the SNES at the start.. only 2p being the real goal then there were games like Secret of Mana where you could have 3 players and they actually made an adapter for the system for the extra controllers.. man those were the days 😁
If you enjoyed this game you should try the free 1999 NES fan game “A Nightmare on Elm Street: Son of a Hundred Maniacs” You get to play AS Freddy. Download link in my most recent video.
I played this game with my brother and sister back then and we had a blast..3 coop game on the NES? Name one! Good to hear others appreciate this game as well
I still have the ljn poster that shows the original game concept instead of the released game concept. The one where you are Freddy, collecting your bones in a top down view. I always imagined what that game would have been like. Awesome guide BTW thanks for the great content
Great video. My mother & I played this game A LOT & had a blast with it when it originally was released. I still have my original copy. Absolutely love the soundtrack. Subscribed.
It took A LOT of practice for me to beat this game, but finally doing so without Game Genie felt like a major accomplishment the first time. I never knew about the boss skip at the end, though, so that's a new one to me.
One more trick! When you are the acrobat, it's possible to spam throw your javelins. Jump close to the boss and hammer that attack button while in the air. You can score *lots* of hits in a row. Great for speed runs!
I always look forward to watching your videos and so happy to have seen your channel grow so much !! You definitely deserve it. Hope you remember me when you hit a million subs

I played this game when I was a kid. Never beat it but I remember having a decent time. I never got to play with others on it, so I've always wondered, do the bosses get more life depending on how many players there are?
Yep. The more players you got, the higher the boss life meter becomes in a shoddy way to 'balance the difficulty'. But by then, there's probably only ONE single boss in the entire game that actually has a WHOLE boss life meter.
Your channel is great, even if I have no plans to play any of these, it's like sitting down with a buddy while they show their gaming skills. (and your dog is beautiful)
Awesome. I owned this game in my childhood--no idea why my parents thought it would make a good game for me--and I remember having a good time playing two-player with my brothers. Sadly, we never got a chance to play the 4 player mode.

The Dream Warriors & The Dream Master Nancy Thompson - Can pull items and people out of Dreams. As demonstrated in the first movie, where she pulled Freddy's hat out and then later Freddy. Kristen Parker - Pulling other people (and animals, noted by Kincaid's dog Jason) in and out dreams and gymnastic like agility. Joey Crusel - Super sonic scream Roland Kincaid - Super human strength. Will Stanton - Can walk in his dreams and has magical abilities based off his favorite Tabletop RPG, The Wizard Master. Taryn White - Enhanced confidence, beauty, and toughness also expert at using switchblades, and her clothes change into 80 punk rocker. Alice Johnson - Alice was the Dream Master, or the guardian of the positive gate, the gateway to good dreams. And as such, she had the power (and responsibility) to guard the sleeper whilst they dreamed. And as such, Alice had the unique ability to absorb the dream powers of Freddy's most recent victims. She also absorb kristen powers pulling people into dreams, and gymnastics like agility , rick powers of karate mastery and sheila power of technology and Debbie toughness. Mark Gray - The ability to morph into his comic book character, The Phantom Prowler. Rick Johnson - karate mastery

On a regular basis I would stay over at a buddy's place - we would rent this game and all the films, the goal being to finish everything come Sunday morning. Sunday typically arrived to find two ornery teens and an incomplete game - those were the best of times though 😎
for some reason I thought you already made this one! But realized it was review I saw a few months ago from a older channel *LJN Defender Such a good choice to stay with the holiday spirit!
I actually really liked this game despite AVGN's take on it. I loved the music and the controls, it was just an overall good game. I beat it many times, good replay value IMO.
Great video as usual bud. I liked all the slasher flicks growing up but was surprised how good Freddy vs Jason was. On a side note all the houses on elm Street are huge. Most be an affluent area lol.
I rented this game a couple of times back in the day and had no idea what to do. The powers in dream world are news to me! I didn’t have a chance in hell! 🤪
Yikes, this looks so much easier than I remember it. Just like Friday the 13th, I feel like I never really understood what I was trying to do when I was a kid. I’ll have to give it a try again. Not sure what part I was missing strategy-wise, probably the bone collecting later on. Pretty sure I at least cleared the first 3 houses each time. Regardless, wish I could have gotten more friends to play this with me. I was an early horror watcher, and most of my circle didn’t like them. I could never get more than a single “round” in when they’d come over. Even though it was one of the few games we had for the 4-player adapter (fun fact, I’m missing plenty of gaming stuff from my youth, but I still have that). Thanks for the helpful video!

So glad you covered the original concept of the game. I think this being scrapped might have affected development time frames and maybe even game quality to some extent
Perfect video for the weekend. Next time since you can play with up to 4 players, let your dog be player 1 as usual 😂 and you play too. Maybe you're afraid he'll make you look bad. 😝🐶.

Great video! I just found a copy of Fester's Quest on ebay and, as you showed me, it is actually fun to play. This one comes next.
Nice. I played this a few years back. Never knew about the dream state power ups. Instead we got our arses handed to us during our fisticuffs shenanigans. Thanks for the info and these vids.
YES! glad you made this my man! loved this game as a kid but never beat it since it gave me anxiety :D thank you for this upload.
Oh wow, i am so glad i found your channel! this is a really good job! i wish to do something like it. Its very cool you have some stories abound the game and its developers. One big like and subscription!
I can't believe I forgot to hit the bell icon before. Happy Saturday everyone! I'm pretty excited about this video!
The character in this game reminds me of a girl I dated in high school. They both collected bones.
P.S. Lester the Unlikely on SNES someday please.
On a regular basis I would stay over at a buddy's place - we would rent this game and all the films, the goal being to finish everything come Sunday morning.
Sunday typically arrived to find two ornery teens and an incomplete game - those were the best of times though 😎
I remember a lot of these games from my childhood. I also had a few games like The Adventures of Bayou Billy, Ikari Warriors, along with a few others.
for some reason I thought you already made this one! But realized it was review I saw a few months ago from a older channel *LJN Defender Such a good choice to stay with the holiday spirit!
I actually really liked this game despite AVGN's take on it. I loved the music and the controls, it was just an overall good game. I beat it many times, good replay value IMO.
Insane! I just asked about NOES and Jaws on the Fri the 13th video. Thank you soooo much for this!
Great video as usual bud. I liked all the slasher flicks growing up but was surprised how good Freddy vs Jason was. On a side note all the houses on elm Street are huge. Most be an affluent area lol.
Thank you for the video my cousin and I rented this game so many times on the weekend and we couldn't get to Freddy back in the day. lol
