Am approaching my 71st birthday. Recently, I experienced a heart scare which has forced me to make significant changes to my exercise routine. I saw my former self in so many of these examples - 40 forever! Thank you for recommending more appropriate exercise options that are not only easier on my body but, which address my concerns about maintaining muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. So glad I found your site.

I thank you for this great video. I have been teaching aerobics 20 years in Spain in an outdoor venue. I've reached 71 and my girls as many as 80 of them in our group (they come and go ) are all over 60 some are 90 years old.over the years everything you talked about in your video has been applied to my teaching .All has been modified with my age too. I had 2 hips replaced 10 years ago and I am pain free since. I am passing on this video to show my girls what they have been learning is true. We do walks, gardening, social events entail lots of dancing ,aqua fitness in summer and we stretch and do correct breathing, everything in your video. Now chair exercises! Too. Thank you for clarification in one video

Three months after knee surgery I had shattered my ankle which left me incapacitated for too many months. At 71 I had lost so much mussel that after my bones had healed I was very weak. It's been a long slow process to build back mussel but I am getting stronger everyday. It is encouraging to know I can still gain strength and endurance with less strain on my body. I can do this. Thank you.

Almost 78, and I walk a lot doing this routine for over fifteen years now. I do have aches and pains, left knee and my back,
pain comes and goes, as I write this comment I don't have any of that. I also enjoy fast foods now and then. I do not have
illness of any kind. I golf and all seniors no matter how old should golf as well.
    Good health and well wishes.

All the points made were pertinent. I do wish the word "intense" wasn't used so often. I know of very few people over 70 who exercise intensely and the examples used weren't relevant.
Who in their right mind starts to jog in their 70's? Fast walking, cycling or swimming but jogging no wonder her joints started to ache.

I think our diets play a major role in our bodies’ ability to function; additionally, our prior exercise regime makes all the difference as to what our bodies can adapt to as we age. I’ve exercised the majority of my life…I believe it is essential to good health, regardless to your age… “use it, or lose it”is my motto! If we want to maintain our health and ambulatory abilities…we must keep it moving! Remember the Israelites walked many miles every day and they lived be a hundred plus years old! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾♥️🦋
