Am approaching my 71st birthday. Recently, I experienced a heart scare which has forced me to make significant changes to my exercise routine. I saw my former self in so many of these examples - 40 forever! Thank you for recommending more appropriate exercise options that are not only easier on my body but, which address my concerns about maintaining muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. So glad I found your site.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! I’m so glad that the tips have resonated with you and that you're finding new ways to take care of your body. Wishing you continued health and strength as you celebrate your 71st birthday! Stay blessed and strong. With love, Tranquility Wisdom. 💖
I thank you for this great video. I have been teaching aerobics 20 years in Spain in an outdoor venue. I've reached 71 and my girls as many as 80 of them in our group (they come and go ) are all over 60 some are 90 years old.over the years everything you talked about in your video has been applied to my teaching .All has been modified with my age too. I had 2 hips replaced 10 years ago and I am pain free since. I am passing on this video to show my girls what they have been learning is true. We do walks, gardening, social events entail lots of dancing ,aqua fitness in summer and we stretch and do correct breathing, everything in your video. Now chair exercises! Too. Thank you for clarification in one video
Welcome & thank you too 🥰
Very good suggestions. However, you forgot to mention the most important one for sense of purpose , happiness and fulfillment: our connection to the Creator of the Universe and everything within it.
Thank You 🥰
Here here we must not forget the maker and the creator
@aminaahmad8328 I would love to connect with the creator of the universe ,there's an abundance of questions I would like to ask this very illusive body ,do you happen to have their email address
Great topic! At 70+, rethinking exercise routines is so important. Taking care of your body the right way ensures lasting health and vitality
Thank You 🥰
you are right.
🔑 This breakdown (5:10) is exactly what I needed. You make complicated things so simple.
🥰
Three months after knee surgery I had shattered my ankle which left me incapacitated for too many months. At 71 I had lost so much mussel that after my bones had healed I was very weak. It's been a long slow process to build back mussel but I am getting stronger everyday. It is encouraging to know I can still gain strength and endurance with less strain on my body. I can do this. Thank you.
It's truly inspiring to hear about your journey! Strength and resilience really do shine through in times of adversity. Keep pushing forward; you're doing amazing!
Almost 78, and I walk a lot doing this routine for over fifteen years now. I do have aches and pains, left knee and my back,
pain comes and goes, as I write this comment I don't have any of that. I also enjoy fast foods now and then. I do not have
illness of any kind. I golf and all seniors no matter how old should golf as well.
Good health and well wishes.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s inspiring to see how staying active and enjoying life can lead to such good health. Wishing you continued wellness!
I have been working out since my 30's. I am 71 now, work out daily between 60-90 minutes and I have no issues like this. I powerwalk at a fast pace and do indoor cardio workouts. We are all different and so are our bodies.
Thank you for sharing your journey! Your experience highlights the importance of staying active and how our bodies can thrive with consistent effort.
We are all the same in that we need all forms of exercise. Agism is caused by disease by NOT exercising
This video is pure ageism. We age when we do things that other’s tell us to do because we are old people. Yoga is pagan, dont do it, just stretch
I do agree. I don't do yoga. Being a Christian, practicing yoga is something I do not practice.
I love how you’re focusing on long-term health! So important to adapt our routines as we get older. 👏😊
All the points made were pertinent. I do wish the word "intense" wasn't used so often. I know of very few people over 70 who exercise intensely and the examples used weren't relevant.
Who in their right mind starts to jog in their 70's? Fast walking, cycling or swimming but jogging no wonder her joints started to ache.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! I really appreciate your perspective and understand your concerns. It's so important to promote safe and sustainable activities, especially as we age. I'll definitely keep this in mind for future content. Wishing you all the best in your wellness journey! With love. 😊
Very educational video on physical n mental health for those over 70

Grandma Ruth's story at 1:17 was so inspiring! It really shows the power of making small, sustainable changes to stay healthy.
Thank you for your kind words! Grandma Ruth's journey truly highlights the importance of sustainable health changes, and I'm so glad it resonated with you!
Very helpful information. Knocking on 70’s door … 67 , this is helpful now! Thankyou!!!
You are welcome!
I think our diets play a major role in our bodies’ ability to function; additionally, our prior exercise regime makes all the difference as to what our bodies can adapt to as we age. I’ve exercised the majority of my life…I believe it is essential to good health, regardless to your age… “use it, or lose it”is my motto! If we want to maintain our health and ambulatory abilities…we must keep it moving! Remember the Israelites walked many miles every day and they lived be a hundred plus years old! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾♥️🦋
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's inspiring to hear about your commitment to fitness and health. Your perspective really resonates with the importance of movement throughout life.

Lucky old fox...😂
Just means your lucky that’s all no big deal
There's so much strength in vulnerability and openness.
Absolutely! Embracing vulnerability can lead to incredible personal growth and connection with others.

Very very good video not only for older but also for every age.
Thanks for your feedback! It's great to know that the tips resonate with people of all ages.
Thanks for offering useful suggestions. I walk about 7 to 8 thousand steps with the speed of a thousand for 10 minutes. I agree with you that instead of only fast walking or doing heavy work out it's always beneficial , with the increasing age, to go for light and comfortable activities that can help us maintain our health. I'm 79 and doing well.
God Bless You 🥰🤲
Very informative for me🎉❤
Thank you for the kind words! I'm thrilled you found the video helpful!
I find this video informative. I’ve had several joints replaced on did great according to therapist. I do my housework and laundry , light exercise. I’m 73 and something happened to left leg. Painful to walk.. but after watching your video, I’ve pushed myself instead of taking care.
Thanks for sharing!
Everyone has a different body. Especially when it comes to working out. Explore your body and don't listen to people who base their knowledge on their body
I'm a 70 male whose daily exercise routine includes 30 minutes of rowing (Concept 2 rower) followed by a 45 minute circuit that includes rebounding, pushups (101 in total), abdominal work (scissor kicks while lying on yoga mat) and bicep curls and extensions using 15 lb weights and a healthy diet. Result? Proper weight and resting pulse of 50 bpm.
Thank you for sharing your fitness journey! It’s inspiring to see someone embrace a healthy lifestyle at 70. Your commitment is truly motivating!
HELLO MADAME HOW AREU VERY NICE INFORMATION THANKS BYE ❤❤❤

Encouraging message to me and my wife. More energised 🙌
I'm so glad to hear that! It's wonderful to know that you and your wife feel more energized. Remember, it's all about finding what works best for you!
Very Nice, thanks. It is very much applicable to me. But actually it depends on what the biological and metabolic age of a particular individual at the age of not only at 70 years but at any age from 30 years onwards.
You're absolutely right! Everyone's body is different, and understanding your own biological and metabolic age is crucial for tailoring the right approach to health at any age.
@TranquilityWisdom
welcome please
True. Just like machines that break down after years of used.
That's a great analogy! Just like machines, our bodies need the right maintenance to keep running smoothly, especially as we age.
Fabulous
Mental stability ,_ Proper Diet n sleep
physical mobility -
Movement exertion engagement
Cooking washing dancing reading 📚 listening music
n financial security -

Is this connected to their previous video, or am I reading too much into it?
Thanks for your comment! You're not reading too much into it - there are definitely connections to our previous videos. We love how you're making the link! Stay tuned for more insights in upcoming videos! :)
That’s why many Lady golfers are still playing golf well into their 80’s. Some even 90.
Thank you for sharing that! It’s inspiring to see how hobbies like golf can keep us engaged and active well into our golden years.
Stop exercising a lot after age 70? 🤔 It sounds "paradoxical"! 😂 But I'm also curious to know what the 6 alternative things this video mentions are. Are they "eating, sleeping, resting?" " all day? 😅 Anyway, I'll watch this video until the end to learn more. Maybe it will change my perspective on exercising in old age.
Haha, I totally get why it sounds paradoxical! 😄 But yes, the 6 things mentioned in the video offer a fresh perspective on maintaining health in your 70s and beyond. Trust me, they go beyond just eating and resting! Watch until the end, and I hope it helps you rethink your approach to exercise. Thanks for being curious, and I’m excited for you to learn more!
Hi @TranquilityWisdom,
Thank you for your feedback! I'm really curious about the 6 things mentioned in the video. Sounds like it would change my perspective on exercise in old age. I will definitely watch the entire video.
Hopefully it will give me useful tips to maintain good health in old age without having to exercise too much. Thank you for sharing this video!
👍💝Thank you madam for your valuable advices.🌷🙏
My pleasure 😊
Play pickleball. Less running, more thinking, lots of social friendships. Finally got a purpose of getting up everyday. Do everything in moderation, eat less than you need. ALL 'manufactured foods sold today causes joint pains anyway. Weight resistance training helps maintain muscles too. 100gsm of protein daily keeps muscle from shrinking. ( sarcopena
❤️
Listen to your body.
Absolutely! Listening to your body is crucial, especially as we age. It knows what it needs better than anyone else.
You don’t discuss diet… it’s diet that will cause joint pain… I’m 76 and I don’t think this video is helpful without discussing diet…
🥰
Thanku mam.
Most Welcome 🥰
No wonder people are so confused so many different opinions. People are encouraged to keep moving and especially after 70 . You don’t need to move to the point of exhaustion
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's true that the advice around exercise can be overwhelming, and I'm glad this video sparked a conversation about it.
No I still workout . Just don't lift heavy weights. I get no pain at all. Just take it easy you don't have to kill yourself. You can still go to gym. I'm 77 still workout and no problem. Just take it easy
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's inspiring to see how you prioritize your health while still enjoying your workouts.
Just listen to your body and ex accordingly
Absolutely! Our bodies often know what they need better than we do. It's all about tuning in and responding!
❤
