    This is my future car. Love how inexpensive this car is for how good the interior look compare to their competitor, the exterior ain't that bad. Nice review btw.

    The slick look is also the most aerodynamic in the class, slick for form and design.

    I like this car so much. I regret buying a 2015 Chrysler 300S. I live in the city and this is more practical. And this interior looks so good at night.

    drove it on a test drive and really impressed how good this thing is, sure would buy S trim model with V6 fully loaded if there Dodge HEMI was not exist. So ,among all the possible choices, there is no other alternatives.

    I personally loathed the old Sebring & just as much, the old 200. I rarely see people actually own one of these; no wonder all of their sales went towards Rental fleets like Budget, Avis & Enterprise.
    This new one seems intriguing. I actually read good things on the platform donor; the overseas Alfa Romeo Giulietta. This new 200 also looks quite pleasing IMO, so perhaps it may be worth a closer look.

    Just bought my 2015 awd s model with 38 thousand miles on it and for the life of me I can't figure out what the fuck he is talking about! There is a slight delay when using the paddle shifter and that does present a pain but you dont need it. Car smokes most other cars on the road and is an absolute blast to drive. Would recommend test riding one your self and treat it like the bad ass whip that it is.

  • @mykullee
    @mykullee 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I would not buy one. In fact, I was in the market for a midsize sedan about couple months ago, and I had 6 midsize sedans on my list (I don't wanna list them all). I ended up going with the 2015 Mazda Mazda6 but in this case the reason for dropping the 200 (which was on my list) is because the 'S' model just seemed quirky here and there too me as well. I wanted the car to behave sporty, but I heard the new 9-speed is sluggish and makes the engine feel unresponsive. I wasn't totally sure on an American vehicle reliability and safety as well. Lastly, I have enough respect for my passengers and the back seat space was absolutely horrible. It was like the segment's worst backseat legroom space. But I give Chrysler kudos for having one of the best head unit in the segment. I love the nav. as I'm a Garmin fan. That wasn't enough to attract me to buy the 200 though.

  • @newcastlemusicstudios
    @newcastlemusicstudios 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I test drove one of these cars today. At 5'9 I barely had any headroom above me. This really surprised me after watching all the reviews. The backseats had even less headroom. The legroom is very nice I will say. I just dont see how anyone 5'10 or above could be comfortable driving or sitting in the back of this car.

    You would want to disable traction control in snow. Sometimes you want to spin the tires just a bit, especially in a front wheel drive car. And especially when switching lanes on the freeway and trying to plow through the slush in between lanes. If the car suddenly decelerates (due to traction control) the moment you hit that slush you could spin out because there would be a lot of momentum pushing the car forward from the rear (oversteer).
    Also, last year I saw someone in an SUV that couldn't make it up a small snow covered hill because their traction control was on, while everyone else zoomed right around them -- especially older cars. A little wheel spin can be good sometimes. I'd never buy a car that did not offer the ability to defeat traction control.

    • @chigasaki06
      @chigasaki06 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly. People forget that you need momentum in snowy/slushy weather.

    • @MaliciousSRT
      @MaliciousSRT 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The car is AWD. All cars these days have intelligent traction control to save your butt, why would this car turn it off automatically once you engage sport? Silly, but I guess it doesnt matter as the car is dead now.

    • @CereberalThud
      @CereberalThud 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MaliciousSRT lolllll come back when you have to drive in snow. Your car will be dead when it only lets you go 5mph through an intersection just because it's a bit icy and you get T-Boned. Sport mode=control.

  • @psdude23
    @psdude23 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Uconnect works great on my 2014 Ram.

  • @CereberalThud
    @CereberalThud 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why would you want the traction control on in sport mode? If i'm in sport mode I want those wheels to spin when I give it the sauce. Turning off TCS gives me way more control over this car but im also not a middle aged man. Try jumping into traffic in snow with the TCS engaged and see if you don't get hit. The car wont let you move as quickly as you want with TCS engaged so it remains off in mine.

    you mentioned the slippery look, I thought you would mention it has the lowest drag coefficient in this sedan segment. less than BMW toyota,honda, kia and all the rest. now that they are back from lease maybe I can afford a AWD S.

    Please go watch other reviews on this car especially the "S" model! Watch someone who knows how to drive! This car hauls ass! Stick a cold air intake on it and get Flowmaster Super 10 muffler or delete the muffler all together and you will be shocked at how quiet it is just cruising around because with the 9 speed it rarely goes over 2000 rpm's, but when you jump on her look out! She sounds really good! As for the time to shift? This transmission learns your driving style so if you drive slow, it shifts slow! My car shifts like "right now". With the mods I mentioned this car runs 0-60 in less than 6 seconds, the 1/8th mile in the low 8's and in the 1/4 mile it will break into the 13's. Folks show me another $30,000 mid size sedan that will do that? Oh and these cars are holding up at the drag strips well also! Our club has guys that race them a lot and even with major mods those Pentastars just keep on laying down the rubber!!!

      You, have not a clue what you're talking about! I've been using and abusing mine everyday for 30,000 miles now! She is tuned with my HPTuner by Overkill Motorsports, She has a ported lower intake, 39# fuel injectors, 80mm Throttle Body, Underdog Performance CAI and Flowmaster Super 10 Muffler. And I wouldn't have another transmission! Quite a few of us in our club run the same set up and we're running them at the drag strips and on road events quite often and have never had a major issue. We STILL haven't been top end yet, but I have been to 170 mph in 7th gear! The 2.4L's are having trouble for some reason and they are giving the 3.6L's a bad name. But see how many used ones you can find! ;)

      Will Cordelo I have 2015 200s with crazy shakes when gears up down. How about this?

    • @willcordelo3967
      @willcordelo3967 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Then go get it fixed! Do you have a 2.4L or 3.6L? Have you had your tcm's software updated? There are also pcm, epb, hvac and radio updates? You have one car tayfun telli, there is a huge majority of us who have never had a single issue. I'm an admin. in a group that has close to 500 members who for the most part love there 200's! As I mentioned before, some of the 2.4L models (usually early builds) have had chronic problems that the dealerships never seems to be able to keep out of their shop. With that said, MOST of our 2.4L owners love their car and have never had an issue. If you'd like to join a very active, and the most intelligent 2015 & 16, 200 group on the planet, and chat with many other 200 owners, friend me on Facebook (I'm not hard to find) and I willl be happy to pm you a link and approve your membership. I will do the same for anyone else but you'll have to convince me with pictures or whatnot on your FB page that you actually are a 200 owner or lessor, before I can approve you.

      @tayfuntelli3174 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Will Cordelo ?? I didn`t get it, why should I lie to you?
      I have 2015 200s 3.6 (didnt know there is S trim with 2.4). I bought this couple of months ago used one with 8K on it. I was planning to buy civic turbo, however after test drive I decided to buy this 200 over the civic.
      Other than vibration during gear changes, i definitely like my car too. Its exhaust note, its performance, somehow its handling, interior (btw I am having some rattles inside), my big grey rims, everything is awesome. I will be calling service this week. Hoping they wont ignore the problem. BTW there were couple of times i almost hit the car front of me, since my 200 suddenly decided to accelerate with no reason (made a shift down from 5 to 4 and apparently I was closer him than I supposed to be)

    sure the interior may fool people into buying this car , but the quality of the mechanical parts is what really sucks they take too many short cuts to save money , these cars fall apart after +10 years

    • @weedmastersr

      How would you know? Did you own this car model for ten years? It was just barely launched.

    • @Slickpete83

      Protector of the Republic exactly my point we don't know !!!!, simply sitting and driving a car will not determined if its good quality , we need to see this car on a lift in a garage examined by a non bias mechanical engineering and trade experts

    • @weedmastersr
      @weedmastersr 9 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Slickpete83 Okay, but until you do so, it doesn't make sense to bash a car's reliability you don't know anything about. This is not a Chrysler of old, it's based on a new platform (new for Chrysler) that has been used in Europe for nearly a decade. The powertrains have been tried and tested too. The only possible vulnerable point would be that 9 speed transmission.

    • @weedmastersr

      Fiat is now the bottom of the barrel on long term reliability scores. I guess now isn't really applicable as they have never been real stars in the category. Chrysler even when Mercedes ran it was a real winner. So combine the two, well the odds are not great of changing. It's possible that this could be a good car but if I was asked by a friend if he should invest $25k in this car I would say there are definitely less risky choices. Companies are made up of people and these people built a V6 engine that was rarely would last the life of the car. Just because there is a change of ownership doesn't mean the people that contributed to the creation and continued production of such a wretched device are gone. They may be there another 20 years. The one positive with Fiat is that their style has improved dramatically, especially their interiors.

    Traction mode goes off, if you go into sport, for a reason, if the car is pushing 300 hp.

    Nope, would not buy one. Personally, the only American vehicle product of buy is a truck. I just don't find American vehicles aesthetically pleasing not using quality material and fit and finish. They seem to aim for value which translates to cheap and gimmicky styling to try and capture market share. That said, this 200S at least looks not bad.

      Zay.kickz The lexus will still work after 20000 miles.

    • @NoHypebeastZay
      @NoHypebeastZay 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      That may be true, but if lexus wants a performance sedan such as the IS model, how come a V6 only pushing 200hp in 2015/2016? I rather go with VW gti or another VW or audi pushing the 2.0T .. Which also puts out 200+ HP.. With a 4 cylinder, yes i know turbo as well.. But your also saving on gas more, plus matching HP of a lexus IS250 with a v6

    • @Trussme96
      @Trussme96 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zay.kickz The awd Lexus probably out handles and out lasts either car. V6 or not, 200+ hp and awd is more than enough for everyday use. Unless you plan on going to the track every week, power is basically irrelevant. Especially if the car won't even last you 2 years without major issues. If you want something fast, get a dedicated sports car.

    • @NoHypebeastZay

      Yes the awd lexus might be better, but how many more thousands do you have to pay for that upgrade? It gets pricey, that is why i think the 200 is bang for the buck, as well as a VW with a 2.0T engine. I know 3 seeies also, but they get pricey too
