Brian Cooley has the style! Man, after top gear this is the only car show that i ever watch! And mainly it's because of Brian and his smart selection of content
This series really needs more viewers. It's easily one of the best car shows i've ever come across. In depth, accurate, unique in its perspectives and just absolutely fun to watch. Brilliant show.
Cnet needs to bring back Brian cooly car reviews his jokes and style is something we need in car reviews sometimes! Also who's here rewatching for nostalgia?
Who the hell gets into a back seat that way? I get into the back seat just like the front. One leg in and then go in. I do agree about the thick pillars, I'm driving a base 2014 200 as a rental while my car is being fixed after getting damaged in an accident, and the car has horrible blind spots all around and a small rear window opening.
Michael Leibowitz Good question! Same old same old, I guess. Habit. But now I love the electronic shifter, the slap stick on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and that took getting used to. Also, tho, one reviewer said there is a lag in the shifting. Guess I can go drive one for myself. We could use a mid size sedan also.
Skippy K It is just getting used to the 200's rotary dial. At first I wasn't sure I liked the electronic slap-stick shifter on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now I love it! Gotta hand it to Chrysler, they are changing with the times. We still have a column shifter on our Chevy Silverado. ;)
Always relevant..... Great episode. Can you do an episode on connecting your car info screen to a third party backup camera or side camera and phone or tablet to watch videos etc.
You may find shift dials fussy and pointless, but I think console shifters for automatics are absurd and they always have been. A dial, or the little lever on the second generation Prius, is a huge improvement over that old mechanically linked, space hogging absurdity. When I had to switch from a 2004 Impala, with it's column shifter, to a 2005 300, with it's console shifter, I felt a little sick to my stomach.
Cooley, I don't get Atkinson (sp?) cycle engines. I always thought you had 2 and 4 cycle engines, what the heck is Atkinson Cycle and why are they most often mentioned in hybrid type vehicles? Please explain.
I like the new 200C. But knowing that the A pillar is massive and intrusive around the bends is horrible!! I own a Nissan March (Micra) and I HATE not being able to see around the bends. Really sketchy.
I'm glad to see Chrysler coming out of their Daimler-Chrysler times (horrid, horrid cars) before that they were making amazing stuff with pretty good fit and finish and no doubt in another couple of years they'll be back to the glory days. In time we might even see advanced design from them again (maybe a modern day Prowler!) Fiat have really mended most of what was wrong with Chrysler
Got busted today going 76 in a 55... though I thought the posted speed was 60 I was still to blame. First time ever being pulled over and it cost $228 :/
I have rented a few 2014 (last gen) V6 200C. They were fast, until you hit 170km/h, then it wants to take off. Steering feel was on par with Toyota Corolla, very poor.
CNET should stick to electronics. The 200 C trim does not have a "sport suspension" and the V-6 does not have direct injection..... Give him a Tony Award for entering the back door in the least likely manner anyone would ever try to do so.
I loved my 200c and never had a problem with it.Consumer Reports killed this car for no good reason so chrysler fiat decided to sell the alpha romeo for a lot more money and go after bmw.
They are not always constant. South bound is always speeding. When the new construction begins in Olympia, to replace expansion joints traffic will back up 20 miles, and even longer after 4pm.
at 6'1" and 210 lbs, i had NO trouble getting in the back of this car,.. with the front seat adjusted for me. i cannot understand how anyone could consider themselves credible after an asinine display like that. instantly thought of my 5 year old struggling to get dressed when she's cranky, floundering on the floor for 10 minutes putting on a t-shirt.
I don't think i can trust the opinion of a guy who is creating a difficult way to enter a car and then complaining that the entrance is difficult. That is something i expect to see on foxnews.
You would think with a 9 speed tranny you get more MPG. Even my 2012 Focus 6 speed gets near 40mpg Hwy and I average 30.8 to 31 in the city. Much more before Ford reprogrammed the tranny, PCM systems.
Nobody needs that much hp, it's simply a want. Nobody needs a smart phone either but people still buy them. If every car had a 100hp, then it would be pretty boring.
I think my 90 Hyundai Excel was actually only 95hp and it was still a fun car. I had it 14 years and traded it when it was 16 years old. Guess what, I changed my oil and it lasted that long, haha.
Brian Cooley has the style! Man, after top gear this is the only car show that i ever watch! And mainly it's because of Brian and his smart selection of content
Yes, exactly. I concur
I agree with you.
Wait which Top Gear the british or the american, i would say the british don't know what you all think
I think Brian is married. sorry
Well said and very much agreed! BC is The Man! He's the only host I watch on CNET On Cars videos.
Thank you, CNET and Brian Cooley, for producing the best automotive review show on the Internet. I look forward to the next 50 shows.
only cooley, "It's like an sat test for your spine..."

Always spectacular. I need this show weekly
I'm enjoying these vintage Cooley shots.
Thank you Brian, another entertaining presentation. Wish you would review/ report on all of the things I am interesting in.
5:49 WTF? who gets into a car like that?
Right
Who the hell gets into a back seat that way? I get into the back seat just like the front. One leg in and then go in.
I do agree about the thick pillars, I'm driving a base 2014 200 as a rental while my car is being fixed after getting damaged in an accident, and the car has horrible blind spots all around and a small rear window opening.
Cooley should just have his own car review Channel !!
Love this show!
Having TV in the car is so pointless. Can't people survive for a few minutes without feeling the need to watch TV...
I used to live in Alaska and the highway speed limit was 65, and most people were actually good about following that speed.
Wow i just found this show. Awesome! Love cars and tech? Cnet got you covered :P
keep this show going forever!
Best review of the 200 C on the web. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Brian Cooley. You nailed it....
Another great episode.
Congrats on 50 episodes.
Top 5 suggestion?
Top 5 things NOT to do when your car breaks down.
Chrysler got it right with the all new 200 they learned from their Mistakes
Cooly's back....
Awesome interior, but the only problem that I hate LCD screens. Car manufactories should replace LCD to SAMOLED displays ;) Hate sun reflection
50 awesome episodes, keep em coming!
That dial shifter would probably be a deal breaker for me. Other than that, I like it.
Why?
Michael Leibowitz Good question! Same old same old, I guess. Habit. But now I love the electronic shifter, the slap stick on my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and that took getting used to. Also, tho, one reviewer said there is a lag in the shifting. Guess I can go drive one for myself. We could use a mid size sedan also.
Skippy K Interesting. For me, a deal breaker would be column shifters, like the one on the new C class.
chigasaki06 For sure. Straight out of the last century!
Skippy K It is just getting used to the 200's rotary dial. At first I wasn't sure I liked the electronic slap-stick shifter on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now I love it! Gotta hand it to Chrysler, they are changing with the times. We still have a column shifter on our Chevy Silverado. ;)
big improvement over the old rental car,but its in a fierce segment with the accord camry fusion mazda 6 altima etc...
18:14 WOW Cooley didn't recognize you lol thanks for the classic footage
Excellent show!
Now that they are coming back from lease I can afford one. Really like the V6 AWD HOT ROD.
Great review of a great car. My new Chrysler 200S has about 500 miles and is the best car I have ever owned by far.
Congrats! 50 ep already
Does anybody else see a bit of impala on the side ?
I do but honestly their both good looking cars.
Ishmale Tack and a little bit of Lexus in the front and Audi on the back
Always relevant..... Great episode. Can you do an episode on connecting your car info screen to a third party backup camera or side camera and phone or tablet to watch videos etc.
Great show! I like multiple themes in one show. Really hearty if you will.
I'm in love with this show. 😀
Me to

What video is Brian's "Ugly is included, at no extra cost" from 0:27 from?
Volkswagen Jetta
Michael Leibowitz Thank You.
DannyGtripleOG
Incorrect.
Absolutely love those wheels!
the 200S Hyper Blacks are amazing!
The best car show ever! Period.
This channels content is fantastic
Is that a Saab 93 Convertible behind you at the very beginning?
your welcome :) Replying for the ''thanks fro watching at the end' ... man do i love this show !
Can you somehow add on the lane assist and parking assist features to a 200 that doesn’t already come equipped with them?
u can add the cd/DVD player just ask your dealer to order it.
Hey did anybody notice that they changed the camcorder? It looks a lot smoother now and the color tone is different
Every car in Japan has TV function since the 90's. Even my 98 Celsior has a TV tuner
This car looks so good!
Always a best show! Keep it coming
why isn't there a CD player in this type of vehicle? Could you install one?
Cooley, I don't get Atkinson (sp?) cycle engines. I always thought you had 2 and 4 cycle engines, what the heck is Atkinson Cycle and why are they most often mentioned in hybrid type vehicles? Please explain.
Excellent unbiased review!!
Getting in the back of Chrysler 200C is like going through the hatch of the International Space Station. lol
I like the new 200C. But knowing that the A pillar is massive and intrusive around the bends is horrible!! I own a Nissan March (Micra) and I HATE not being able to see around the bends. Really sketchy.
We already have a fleet of the new 200 on our hertz lots. It's going to be another rental queen. They should have changed the name.
I'm glad to see Chrysler coming out of their Daimler-Chrysler times (horrid, horrid cars) before that they were making amazing stuff with pretty good fit and finish and no doubt in another couple of years they'll be back to the glory days. Little did they know was that the 2015 200 was a huge disaster...
Got busted today going 76 in a 55... though I thought the posted speed was 60 I was still to blame. First time ever being pulled over and it cost $228 :/
Has Brian tested the 200S?
Anyone tell me about that Bentley like line on the sides of the car! btw Good Looking Car
First thing I noticed when he got in the car(the rear door was open)
Rear looks cloned from the Audi A5 Sportback and that off-centered console looks unbalanced considering it is no tiny microcar.
Test out the new nissan altima and make a comparison pls.
Enjoyed this Brian 👍
By the time we got tv on the go in any meaningful capacity, there wasn't anything to watch anymore
another great video!
3.6 pentastar engine is NOT Direct injected.
Love this show only cooley does it right
No CD/DVD?? How will I watch a movie??
+BklynJayL On your phone, like a modern person.
I'm pretty sure that Alaska has 65 mph roads
Actually looks nice
How do you make 290 hp car that doesn't feel sporty?!
you had a cool haircut Cooley! what happened?
I have rented a few 2014 (last gen) V6 200C. They were fast, until you hit 170km/h, then it wants to take off.
Steering feel was on par with Toyota Corolla, very poor.
هذه السياره راقيه جداً
لكن لماذا تم اغلاق انتاجها لا اعلم
It uses the same platform as the Dodge Dart and I would say the 200C is a much better looking car.
Fuel, correct traffic light...da try that. Speed limits do them...
Cooley is so good.
It's going to be a cold day in hell before I buy another Chrysler product.
CNET should stick to electronics. The 200 C trim does not have a "sport suspension" and the V-6 does not have direct injection..... Give him a Tony Award for entering the back door in the least likely manner anyone would ever try to do so.
Is this guy trying to compare it to a Ferrari?
FINALLY. THIS CAR IS SESSY (brian tong voice)
These had great potential, awesome looks, great features, active safety tech etc too bad they were unreliable and overpriced.....
V6 vvt font on the engine looks like gm
I loved my 200c and never had a problem with it.Consumer Reports killed this car for no good reason so chrysler fiat decided to sell the alpha romeo for a lot more money and go after bmw.
He looks VERY BIG in the back seat.
Sorry Brian, no way thats the best looking in the class.
That was so freaking dramatic to get into the back seat. I’m nearly 6 feet tall and have no issue. It’s a little tight, but you’re a drama queen.
Washington drivers do not avg 63, more like 80 to 90, especially if it's a guy in a Prius who thinks even at 90mph you still save gas.
Wait, you get to do more than 70mph on I5 with all those constant traffic jams?
They are not always constant. South bound is always speeding. When the new construction begins in Olympia, to replace expansion joints traffic will back up 20 miles, and even longer after 4pm.
snakerb
cnet on cars 20/15 chrysler 200c adud no longer ep 50 castel
Tv on the road
Bring an iPad with cellular and tune in on Netflix and watch House of Cards iPad seat holder optional
What is that theme song called?
"Cnet on Cars" most likely.
Where you just waiting for me to say "Darude - Sandstorm"?
igotwhips Yeah he couldn't wait for someone to make that joke for the millionth time this week.
kalimba by mr scruff, no really im not joking, listen to 10:00
I think it is "Semen on My Chest" by Ke$ha...
Texas people are fast people we love are cars to go vroom vroom lol
at 6'1" and 210 lbs, i had NO trouble getting in the back of this car,.. with the front seat adjusted for me. i cannot understand how anyone could consider themselves credible after an asinine display like that. instantly thought of my 5 year old struggling to get dressed when she's cranky, floundering on the floor for 10 minutes putting on a t-shirt.
Use your fog lights, u have them for a reason
Haha who gets into any car seat that way?
I don't think i can trust the opinion of a guy who is creating a difficult way to enter a car and then complaining that the entrance is difficult.
That is something i expect to see on foxnews.
"nomadic tribes using BlackBerrys"
Welp, looks like I'll have to upgrade.
You would think with a 9 speed tranny you get more MPG. Even my 2012 Focus 6 speed gets near 40mpg Hwy and I average 30.8 to 31 in the city. Much more before Ford reprogrammed the tranny, PCM systems.
Your ford focus also doesn't have a 295hp V6. I'd say that's not too bad given the power.
Why you would need that much HP is beyond me, it is supposed to be a family car but as Brian shows, getting in the back is quite a chore.
TekReview's Oh it helps a great deal when taking highway on ramps, believe me.
15:10 & 18:15 LOOK AT THAT HAIR COOLEY!!!!!!!
Everyone tells me that the new 200 is unreliable and not built well
I've had ine since 2016 has 130k miles no problems just keep up with maintenance and dont go cheap
Oh if you need a people mover get a mini van.
FIRST! Your the best Cooley
