- Today's video I thought we’d carry out our academy outlook which will be a regular feature this season - where we will touch on the likes of Gabriele Biancheri and Jayce Fitzgerald but today a player I thought I'd go with is 16 year old Bendito Mantato. Mantato is a player who was a key part of the U18s exceptional campaign last season and he started the season in the same vein as a player who’s touted to have the potential to break through, especially with United’s below par recruitment over the years in the right wing area...

Youth is the soul of United. George Best was 17 and went straight into the first team.

Seems like our youth team has some real gems. It's on the club to put trust on them and coach them the right way to actualize that potential.

I think United NEED to put their faith back in the youth now. We got more and more young talented players, equal to Barcelona’s La Masia, who are capable of being world class players. 💯
Be realistic... Filling our first team with a bunch of the young teens will get us relegated.
Disagree to some extent. You put that many 16, 17, 18, 19, even 20 year olds on the pitch you start to overrate them because they play for the first team. Expectations of those players in their prime are placed on them and a lot of those players will fold under that pressure. Also you risk shortening their careers cause of injuries.
@@kxyoto8541we need balance. I totally get that, as well as structural and functional support within the team. We got 1st team players such as Martinez, de Ligt, Maguire, Bruno, Erikson, Rashford, who should be the leader but because of his poor mental state, couldn’t led his shoe laces!

100% agree. At some point we need to slow down on new signings and give the youth a chance. If what the club is saying about the "project" is true, then buying to get out of trouble is just gonna be a step back.

@@GrahamGibbins We can't afford to go out and buy players of that caliber given the whole PSR situation. Players of that caliber would cost upwards of £70m per player and we just don't have the wiggle room to buy 4 or 5 players of that ilk in one transfer window.

I’ve said for awhile tht Utd have one of the best academies in the world bar La masia and if he breaks through and impresses backend of this season or early next season that’s more proof of tht for me. I’m so excited for our academy

With the state of our LBs and the need for another RW just having a player like this in the squad can only be a good thing haven’t seen much of him but what I have seen he’s hopefully got a big future

I think we need to let potential be left alone until it’s realised potential. It’s just creating pressure on young players for TH-cam viewing stats. Last season you were mentioning in videos that Willy Kambwala was the future of United’s defence, then he was sold due to not being up to standard. Janusaj should be a lesson that we shouldn’t talk up players until we see how they handle being in a first team environment and games, consistently performing to a high level

Saka is very good player but i hate that he falls so easily and often. think he have cheated (ofcourse some are actaully fouls) most penalties for arsenal. so hope he isnt exactly copy of saka :P
