before the game i'd say a lot of arsenal fans would be relatively okay or even delighted with a draw - but the circumstances within which it happened, and how every game-changing event happened in stoppage time, with Stones' equaliser coming in at 90+8 when stoppage time was +7 just hurts so much. Arsenal could have walked away with a WIN, AWAY at the Ethihad, against MAN CITY, with TEN MEN for 50 minutes of the game. I had fully expected Man City to start scoring for fun after half time

Not a fan of Arsenal and think parking the bus last year was embarrassing but this year they had a lead and were 10 men down. Anything other than basically 8 or 9 behind the ball would have been idiotic. And they almost got away with it.
Arteta had Pep’s number in the second half. The only reason city even scored is cause Grealish decided to go off the cuff and try something other than what they were trying for 45 minutes. This was by far the worst second half performance from Pep I’ve ever seen tactically. They had ZERO ideas on how to do anything. Expecting a long shot from Dias or Kovacic to magically get them out of trouble. Kyle walker was their biggest creator. How embarrassing. They looked void of ideas. Were they thrown off by Rodri’s injury?
Arsenal will remain solid defensively, they are very well drilled but I do think they will have a lot of more draws in the next period missing odegaard than they should because I don’t think they create enough going forward without him (and I’m not speaking today’s game). They have a very very easy next 2 weeks though and a pretty straight forward run once they get back from the next international break barring a few games.

Don't really care to debate the trossard sending off, I just c any come to terms with the inconsistency of the rule, why is always applied to us but no one else?
The added time was a farce to, that's the most the ball has been in play in a half off football this year, they just pulled minutes out their arse.
City had the better opening 20, but by the end of that half we were evidently the better and more dominant side.
Not sure what rivals expected us to do in the second half? Seen spurs fans saying they'd rather have the game vs a shite Chelsea where they played on the halfway line and got battered at home, very weird behaviour.

I always like the analysis on this channel and breakdown pf play. But i can't agree on the Trossard sending off.
I do agree that time wasting and kicking the ball away should warrant yellow cards, but when the referee isnt punishing other players for it....why is he so quick to brand a yellow card and ultimately a sending off! This was always going to impact the game negatively....the same referee who didn't book Kovacic twice last season for 2 yellow/red card challenges because he didn't want to negatively impact the game.
Again, there is no consistency, and it appears to me that they seem to be aiming at arsenal any chance possible. Call me delusional if you wish, but the same happened when Rice got sent off against brighton, pedro had smashed the ball after going out of play (aka, time wasting and kicking the ball away) and never recieved punishment. So what are the excuses here from PGMOL for no consistency?
What the referee should have done was give Trossard a final warning. Anything else and you're off. It would have been much fairer considering both Silva and Doku didn't get punished for kicking the ball away/time wasting, and it wouldn't have negatively impacted the game for the second half.
To me its clear as day that they are targeting Arsenal, and i imagine its because Arsenal called them out last season. Which has clearly hit a nerve with them.

Now, I dont think that was a red, I dont think he kicks the ball away AFTER the ref blows for the foul. We are talking about a fraction of a second here.
BUT, according to the rules that (remember, fraction of a second) is a red, now obviously, this particular rule is impossible to enforce in any sort of "consistent" manner because you would end every game with 16 player.
So, putting a player on the sideline for 5 minutes wouldn't ruin the game like a red does for what is essentially a "harmless foul."

James got pretty much everything wrong in this video. It wasn't "dark arts" for the first Arsenal goal. Kyle Walker is summoned by Oliver and as he then relays to his team what Oliver told him, the game is allowed to restart. That's Oliver playing for Arsenal, that's not Arsenal being smart that's the ref forcing a player out of position that leads to a goal. Trossard is sent off for kicking the ball away not for tackling Silva. For Arsenals second goal 2 people literally just go in to stop Ederson from going up, it's a clear foul and it's easy for Gabriel to score headers if the keeper is allowed to be fouled.
