Things never covered: Marco's stabbing by Unicorn, Marco's Monster Arm, Magic High Comission, Goat dude, Toffee, Ludo, Monsters v Humans, Government System, Mina, Glossaryck, Butterfly forms, Origins of Magic (people like Father Time for example), Magic being tainted, Marco's cheek marks, The First Born (unicorn) I could probably go on, if there's things that bother you, feel free to message down below
@@andreiiglesia2813 Yeah, see I was gonna not include that, but the thing is, it's also just as easy to think Toffee just died and now half the fanbase is like, "Toffee is still alive". I mean, it's almost certain now that the magic is gone, but did it get corrupted? Why didn't it get corrupted? Did it know about the threat? Just confusing in general
@@amiel_edits Good Point! I know they have the materiel outside the show, but even like two episode with like 3-5 minutes spent on each queen would've been FAR better than like Quest Buy lmao
@@LenLyr_ical Yeah, I always kinda thought that too, at least at the time. I just figured if they were gonna make that line, maybe like a one-liner mentioning it sometime would've been nice. I've seen lots of theories on how it could come back and it just sucks that it never even got a callback
I think about 6 things could happen from this point on: 1: Star is over and done forever 2: New book 3: New comic 4: Season 5 (I wish) 5: Meteora and Mariposa spin-off 6: Movie
Honestly a lot of people died in this ending, and it kind of felt random that Star decided to destroy all magic (except for Pony Head floating apparently). I wish we knew more about Globgor, Glossoryck, or Toffee’s backgrounds or motivations. Why did Glossoryck want this? Why did he make the MHC in the first place? Is the Butterfly transformation something all humans can do or just wand users?
Glossaryck creared the mhc to teach mewmans about magic so they can understand it better. And only females go through mewberty and you need to go through mewberty to get your butterfly form. You get your butterfly form when magic reaches its peak and it can't be held in.
Natural creature magic (like ponyheads floating, Globgor's growth, etc) is separate from the magic that was destroyed. Lots of monsters have abilities, but they don't consider that magic. This is specifically the magic from the magic dimension that the mewmin's harnessed, mostly through their royal line. The natural magic is more akin to mutant abilities.
Dont forget that Ludos whole arc for the last 2 seasons was entirely pointless and he dosent even do anything significant. He was one of the main characters in season one and 2, and has been around since the first episode. Youd think he would atleast help out fight mina or something.
I feel like there could have been more episodes done about Marco, like with his arm and in this ending, he had been stabbed by the purple horse; and that felt like it would have lead somewhere but yeah I don't think they had enough time to focus on it too much.
That's a bright spot. Hekapoo's dead, all the spells are dead, we'll never see Kelly again. What about Nachos? Where was he? Higgs and the other new knights probably died of old age in the Neverzone but I don't see Hekapoo's dimension surviving without her. All of the spells. Magic.
I think Marco and star are a sort of symbolism for the moon and star. They can never be separated because they are together as one to light up the night sky wherever they go.
I really wish the writers could've built more on what Marco said about the first Mewmans actually being humans and the carving of Glossaryck on the rock. It would've been nice to learn more about the lore and the world building of STVFOE.
Well, by the ending, it is evident that mewmans were humans but that somehow magic found a way to cleave (apart) the world, separating the humans with magic and magical animals, and the humans and creatures without. Glossaryck could have been the cause of this, (but who knows). I think that it started with Glossaryck because from the beginning, he was guiding Star closer to her final decision, to destroy magic, and he was happy about this in the end, so he could cleave (together) the world once more. But that's just a theory, so... idk.
Few things I like to point out: The deck of cards (hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs) ended the magic That king at 9:40? He's not a queen, but he's a *queen*, if you know what I mean ;) Despite what Eclipsa did, Salaria still cares about her, evident by her anger towards Mina, which is a great message about parenthood! And lastly, the magic wasn't keeping the dimensions together (through portals), it was keeping them apart. Goodbye, SvtFoE! You will be missed.
That would make a lot of sense that magic kept the dimensions apart, considering that Mewni didn’t originally have mewmans and that the first were actually humans who came through the magic.
I don't hate the ending i actually think its a great ending. But it doesn't feel deserved because this season's climax was weak, there is no 'sigh of relief' and or satisfaction. So many interesting plot threads were dropped as well, which was disappointing.
I love this episode the ending was great but you have to agree some parts were a little rush... And the fact people doesn't seem to notice that st olgas is in this new world.. Its its own dimension so i believe all dimensions were cleaved not just mewni and earth
YES FINALLY WE GOT ECLIPSA BUTTERFLY FORM TOO BAD ITS THE END OF THE SHOW LOL. I’m really gonna miss the show though :/ Btw I think the intro was short because the magic is gonna be destroyed. No magic, no other dimension
some people have been calling it her mewberty form for some reason mewberty form is the form star took when she was going through pu.berty not her butterfly
it was shortened to maximise screen time, so they could make the episode longer. They're only allowed a certain amount of screen time, so cutting the intro extended that time.
"you can cleave something apart, and you can cleave something together" - Glossaryck We saw the wand get cleaved apart by the whispering spell and we saw the worlds cleaved together *TECHNICALLY* by the whispering spell as well. I'm gonna miss this show. I was hoping they'd do a star vs. "OVA" season that is just star fixing earth's racism and living peacefully in earth
It’s such a...bittersweet feeling, to see this show end when I’m so lukewarm on it. Starco is Endgame, but them being together didn’t impact the plot at all and they got one kiss. That’s just great. Makes Allllllllllllll the shipping drama and the time wasted on other pairings and the disservice done to other characters TOTALLY worth it.
I think the whole point of the shipping drama was for Star and Marco to realize they are meant to be together sometimes you gotta date the wrong people to see who you are truly meant to be with
Madison Your for one, even if that was the case, the handling was still terrible. For another, that doesn’t change that them getting together doesn’t impact anything. The show could’ve ended with them still being friends and literally nothing would have to change.
I’m so glad that Moon got to see her mother one more time. But also I loved how Solaria held her granddaughter. Overall this ending was great and I’m happy though I wished Mina was redeemed, but that’s my only complaint. Star has a permanent place in my heart and this series will be forever remembered.
It's so sad that an once so great series had a such unsatisfying final season. Like... I'm not even sad because it ended. I don't feel like someone who came at the end of a long journey. I just feel... Dead inside, in a negative way, show-related speaking.
I really liked season 4 as it got a bit dark, but I felt like they built up for something that didn't happen... Yet. Star vs the forces of evil has tons of long specials, season 2-4 (even the opening). I highly doubt it's actually over.
Starco was so forced after battle for mewni I shipped it all in season 2 Moon is trash She doesn’t deserve river Star is trash she doesn’t deserve Tom Marco is trash he doesn’t deserve Jackie
@@rewriter3981 yeah, most of the characters are unredeemable assholes. There's only a handful of actual good. (Moral wise) characters. And everyone got off the hook. Moon, Star, Mina, Meteroa, and Ludo. (I like Ludo though) The only person who got punished was Toffee and he was in the right the entire time??
Chicken Stripz personally I kinda don’t mind meteora’s getting off the hook while there should be consequences for the evil stuff she did she was a victim of unjust racism
I had high hopes for this episode and im a little disappointed i mean they could've made the fight with mina a little longer and whats the point of marco getting stabbed It wouldve been cool if that corrupted him releasing the monster arm making marco evil and the length of the episode really? 23 mins its the series finale for cornsake couldn't they have made it half an hour or 40 mins BUT overall i like the show not the best but not bad either. *THIS IS JUST MY OPINION*
This finale was pretty underwhelming imo. My biggest complaint is how Mina survives, threatens everyone, goes off to plot in the woods, and we’re never gonna know what becomes of it because, well, the show’s over. Also I was really disappointed to see that we’re never gonna know why Marco has cheek marks, the Monster Arm “foreshadowing” from season one, Janna hiding that unicorn under her hat, Glossaryck’s son, etc. all turned turned out to just be throwaway gags, and all the shocking stuff from the promo like Marco getting stabbed and Tom being all evil ended up being super anticlimactic. I really hope Star Vs continues in some capacity, it just feels really incomplete to me.
I was also disappointed with how short the finale was like i get they might not have been able too but idk i just feel like any series finale deserves at least 42 minutes to an hour not just 22-30 minutes especially if that’s just the normal episode run time but i suppose it wasn’t a terrible ending it could have been worse in terms of some things
Well, I enjoyed the show a lot. I truly loved it. Unfortunately, around the middle of season 3 the creators said they were now making the story as they went along, which isn’t a good idea for a story telling show like Star, yet a good way to do shows like Spongebob, which have no actual story. I feel as though they left multiple plot points open, such as Toffee’s connection with Eclipsa, as well as his knowledge of the wand. Not just Toffee, but the show seemed to forget many other points as well, such as Marco’s monster arm (also, did they make him get stabbed just to freak us out? It was confusing how it just disappeared with nothing happening with it. That was a bummer), as well as what will become of everyone. I understand they were rushed, and it sure does show, but I understand why they were rushed. Hopefully they find a way to resolve everything. Heck, maybe they’ll release a movie and close up all the plot points! But that’s my thoughts! Thanks for reading!
Where's the information from where the creators said they were making the story as they went along? Trust me, I honestly believe it if it were true because Season 3-4 had absolutely no direction at all, but I'd like to see the source.
Boom Boom Melody I heard it from multiple channels that analyze shows like Star (one is called “The Roundtable”) and before they also quoted things before as well and had the evidence for it. I’m afraid I can’t find the exact article, although I’m trying right now.
Like there was way more to squeeze from all this series, but diney had to say nope! Hekapoo didn't even react, at least a 10 episodes were she considers it!, there was material for a 5&6&7 sseason, even for a 8 one, but disney had to say no :c
I agree, if this was the ending front he get go, they should’ve introduced Mina and the warriors to Star wayyyy before the finale to then introduce the idea of destroying the magic to make it less rushed and more time for people to adjust to the idea
Hecapoo could just teleport all warriors into non existant where they would just stop existing because it is the end of dimensions, we saw it just an episode before all this idea with destroying of magic. If she can't open portal straight to nonexistence she can open it so close that everyone that would go through the portal would be automatically and instantly sucked into nonexistence, because we all saw that creature that touched the border would be sucked and gone. Easy spell for heecapoo that can open thousands of portals without damaging even an inch of the land. Easy way to win without messing every dimension into biggest chaos imaginable with death of billions sentient beings and death of glossarick. Ok, if that wouldn't work, just teleport them to the most isolated world with terrible living conditions, like world of ice, fire, acid, darkness, just stone world and leave them be. They would die from dehydration and starvation, or would die from self destruction, that ended previous generation of solaria knights ( only mina survived self destruction, but she still needs food and water to live) knights can't use magic directly so they can't open portals but can go through them. If by any occasion someone have artifact for teleportation that's not a problem because heecapoo can stop all portals and make that nobody can't open a portal anymore. The only way out is source of magic, but mina doesn't know about it so she can't use it. If by some occasion they not die, heecapoo can open portals and eclipsa would destroy knights one by one with her spell in the world with no life so it wouldn't harm anyone even if whole dimension would be destroyed. The most obvious and easy plan ever. If by any chance mina use the source portal - she forgets herself while exploring it and gone forever or killed by corrupted unicorns. If things go in worst way, she finds the way out and still remember who she is, than she wouldn't have her armor anymore, because size of source portal is limited. Now she is vulnerable, we got time to prepare and everything is ready to destroy her. If not - repeat the process and teleport her into another dimension again while she is stunned or pinned with web of eclipsa. Easy win that feel deserved and use possibilities of characters. Can be used even without help of heecapoo. She doesn't even risk anything because all swords of solaria doesn't insta kill, she would have more than enough time to teleport into shrine and heal wounds as many time as needed. And everyone that have artifacts or ability to open portals can replace her.
Yeah idk how to feel about this ending either;/ I feel like it was rushed.. And I also think that Daron wanted to do longer finale I mean why Marco got stabbed by unicorn and then just "oh I'm okay now cool"?? Unless it was just for trailer shot..
Am I the only one wondering about the status of mewni and Earth? Two worlds 'cleaved' together... Did the mass increase? Did they fix global warming? Lol
Exactly! Is gravity crushing? If not, what about resources? How many new people came over? Billions? Millions? 42? Is this worldwide or just Echo Creek/Mewni/Greater L.A. area's problem? Does SoCal secede from the union and become New Mewni? WTF IS GOING ON?!
Look, I get what the writers went through, and I won't hold everything against them. HOWEVER, I'm just not- *satisfied.* I don't know how to explain it. And no, it's not because I dislike Starco. I just think it's because it feels empty? I'm not sure how to explain it. I still like this show, but a lot happened in the final season that didn't really impact the outcome? It's bittersweet because you're happy for the characters, but you didn't really want it to go this way, at least not me. It's just a weird feeling I guess.
I think it felt kind of rushed and it felt like stuff that would of happened if it was an hour episode but I guess the suits at Disney wanted a half hour
@@DJCMORE Stop blaming Disney. DARON DECIDED IT. Who said Disney wanted a 22-minute episode? Stop putting out nonsense. The episodes and their length are based on how Daron decides to pace herself with the amount of episodes she got ordered. Stop trying to defend Daron for what she did with Cleaved by blaming Disney when it's her own fault. And @Hellothere, it's because Star has an issue with building things up that absolutely go no where. Moon losing half her soul in Season 3 for example - solved the very next time we saw her. Absolutely NO impact. Marco getting scarred by dark/tainted magic in the finale - Absolutely NO consequence. Ludo wanting revenge on Star and Marco, teased in season 3 - Ludo was barely in Season 4. The writers absolutely have no plans to ever build things up that actually lead somewhere. This is why there's always such a mixed feeling with this show. Seriously, I'm going to be so skeptical at the next shows these incompetent writers work on.
@@boomboommelody8891 Okay, so, you're right, but you just blew that way out of proportion. They didn't say it rudely, you could've just said that it wasn't fault.
@@violets.1810 There are so many people thinking that it was Disney's fault, blaming Disney and not Daron herself who should be held accountable. I just want to put emphasis on specific words/phrases for people to realize why it is Daron's fault and not Disney's.
I agree that the ending was kinda underwhelming. It’s kinda sad tho that a bunch of characters are gone now because of magic disappearing: the high commission, glossaryc, Star’s Spells (spider with a top hat, narwhals, etc 😭) I’ll miss those characters. It’s been an emotional ride through this series.
This finale deserved another season this felt so rushed also Marco has cheek marks since he was exposed to a high energy of magic but the fact that some people also took the wand don't have it I guess its just a plot whole.
Project Mary it isn’t a plot whole. When a human uses the wand they use the magic inside the wand to cast spells, but in the process, magic starts sipping into the body. When using spells that require a certain amount of magic, a human with no cheek marks will show them for the duration of the spell. Should the human keep exposing themselves to magic through the wand, they will develop permanently visible cheek marks. If you’ve payed attention, you would have noticed that Festivia didn’t have them originally as a baby, but thanks to her royal training in magic with the wand, she developed them permanently as an adult.
I'm up to date with the Tangled series. It's similar to Star vs. in that a lot of episodes feel like a waste of time, but then when plot actually happens WOAH. Caution though they really mistreated my favorite character on there and it's still not resolved. The Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir feels a lot more rewarding honestly. It goes through a painful (but necessary) "villain of the week" method to establish the characters and world, and I've been really enjoying it now that I've gotten to know the characters into season 2.
Oh my god I’ve started thinking about how just tossing all the dimensions together at the end completely destroys this show on a thematic level and now I can’t stop HAAAAAAAAAAALP!!!
Ludo would have been the perfect person to have dispatch Mina, honestly. Mina is basically the goofy villain that's only intimidating by accident, just like Ludo was. It actually would've been really satisfying to have Ludo actually get the wand and levitato Mina left and right as a distraction for a while, then give up the wand and head home when it's all done because he's not about that life anymore. I definitely would have viewed the "princess quasar caterpillar and the magic bell" episode differently if I'd known that was literally Ludo's sendoff for the series. Given the way we went, we also didn't need a WHOLE episode to build up the spell with no name either.
Little flash of realisation that only sank in this morning: "Cleaved". It's one of those words (like "inflammable") that has two, directly opposing definitions- 1) To split down the middle (like cutting a rock). 2) To bond together (like glue). Both of these are true at the same time. Magic seems to be (mostly) gone, but at least these two mundane realms have been pulled together. Its such a clever little word play.
I just wanted to say thanks for being there while I was stressed out near the end of school. I listened to this whole playlist of you reacting to Star while I did my work and it honestly helped me calm down and finish whatever schoolwork I could. I know you might not see this but I felt like I needed to leave a comment. Thanks Zamber ❤️
They left it like that in case Disney ask the Creator to make a spin off , movie , or a story about how the get married and have to fight someone that finds a way to use dark magic and Marco , star and maybe their daughter work together to save the day, maybe an old bad guy returned
What was the point of Marco getting stabbed and pointing out that he was hiding it if they don't bring it up ever again? It kind of felt like cheap, pointless drama to me
Yeah... This ending was just "OK" for me. Actually, this last season as a whole was just "OK." There were a lot elements I liked but overall, it was way too rushed with last minute stuff added that randomly brought the story to a halt and left stuff out like the monster arm, that really could have added to the story. So many missed opportunities and things left unresolved... Oh well. The show is over now and despite this weaker last season, it was a nice show. Definitely not my favorite but I enjoyed it for the most part and I'm a little sad to see it go. Great reaction, Zambers! Can't wait to see your next reactions. And I can't wait for the new cartoons we'll be getting next. Edit: You know what, after looking back and rethinking things, I'm not sure if the few things I liked this season is enough to give it the "ok" rating I initially gave. Compared to seasons 1, 2, & 3 premieres and finales started, this ending isn't very satisfying, so was the whole season. I admit I was optimistic after the last few episodes and the trailer, and while some stuff was good, it could have been so much better. So it's now a underwhelming "meh" for me. 😑
Are we all going to over look the fact the Star, Moon and Eclipsa committed a act of mass genocide. Anyway seems like there was going to be another season and Disney came in and said they were canceled wrap everything up. To me every since Marco and Kelly got together on seemed more rushed than Nascar race.
Totally agree with your disappointment in this episode. Star always had such amazing finales and premieres and it kinda went out with a whimper. Also Ludo totally got gipped.
I get what you mean, it's a strange bittersweet feeling. I'd have loved an hour long special or even a 40 minute special to wrap things up better, and while it's a cute idea for 'Cleaving the worlds together', It's completely unpractical without any further explanation. So, I'd have liked to have seen a different ending. It would've been a dig bick move to make them completely separated, and while I'd appreciate the reality of the situation - it would've left me feeling depressed over the show's ending: A feeling of 'After all this, and we only got 1/2 kisses?' What a pain... It's a 'Nice' ending, but not a 'Good' ending. I personally think they shouldn't have gone down the route of destroying all the magic, yes, it makes logical sense and all that but... Magic was such a core-component to the entire multiverse Daron Nefcy created that destroying it is almost like breaking the show's heart itself apart. All those cool dimensions are now split (except for Mewni and Earth), all of Star's spells have perished along with her capability for casting spells, no more Kelly adventures or the lovable Hekapoo's charm. Just talking about it kinda peeves me off I LOVED the show, and I LOVED the characters, and I LOVED the world - but I didn't love the ending, it left me *sighing* "This is all we get? God dammit Disney."
I cried at the end. It's very touching. I think the point is "the magic inside you is the strongest magic of all", like Star and Marco's love is so strong that their worlds collide. And what a great twist. Season1: Star came to earth to train for magic to become a princess of Mewni. Now: No magic. No princesses. Just normal humans. In my opinion, she just wants to live a normal fun life. And finally she gets a life she deserved;)
you know, their are so many brand new cartoons that you can look at now that star vs the forces of evil is over, like Disney's amphibia,101 Dalmatians street and the owl house (coming in 2020) and so much more. star vs the forces of evil was a great show, but it's time for BRAND-NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW CARTOONS coming this year in 2019-onwards!
Based on the fact that there's wild dragoncycles, it seems like ALL the dimensions were combined, maybe? At the very least, I think Earth and Mewni were once the same long ago and were actually cleaved apart, leaving humans on Earth and monsters on Mewni. At some point, humans found their way to Mewni via the well. Basically, I think Star and Marco restored the balance.
I feel annoyed that we got no Celena ending, or clearups but I can't believe Marco actually didn't go to earth and waited for Star in the realm of magic! Awh I was also so sad when he was crying :( But I think they didn't kiss to resemble how they met, and to not be like STARCICIOCOCO even though I love it, they had to make all fans happy. I really enjoyed it! Disappointed of it not being at least a half hour.
I definitely get how you were feeling after the episode it's one of those situations where you're satisfied but yet you're not satisfied; you're just left wanting more due to the simple fact that they did not give us enough in the final season. I mean the biggest plot point that they never touched again was Marco and his monster arm.
Here’s how I personally would’ve handled the ending: When we see Star and Marco slowly walking to each other at the end of the episode, instead we have them shout each other’s names, run to each other, and tackle each other to the ground, embracing in a long hug. As they continue to hold each other, with smiles and tears in their eyes: Marco: “Oh my God, Star! I thought I’d never see you again!” Star: “It’s ok, Marco. I’m here now. We’ll never be separated ever again.” Marco: “How? How did this happen?” *Flashback to the Season 1 finale of Glossaryck saying “You can cleave something apart, or you can cleave something together.”* Marco: “Glossaryck. This must’ve been his last trick. He knew this would happen.” Star: “Yeah. Clever Glossaryck.”. The two of them continue to hold each other in their arms, and start to look each other in the eyes, still with tears and smiles. Marco: “But you were right about what you said in the Magic Realm: “With or without magic.....” Star: “.....We belong together.” The two then lean into each other for a long kiss. As they continue kissing, the music kicks in, and the camera slowly pans up towards the sky, where we see airplanes and dragon cycles flying side by side. The camera then pans further up, ending the show with a shot of the regular moon back to normal, with the magic heart sparkle around it (Just like at the end of the pilot episode in the very first season.). The screen fades to black, and the credits roll. And as the credits roll, we stay on one shot that shows both Earth and Mewni being cleaved together. Boom. End of the show. Maybe we could get a 5th season where everyone deals with Earth and Mewni being merged together. Maybe Tom starts dating Janna? Maybe Jackie starts dating that one European girl from the episode “Britta’s Tacos”? Maybe King Globgor, Queen Eclipsa, and Princess Meteora start having a peace treaty with the U.S. government? Maybe there’s still more wiggle room for a different kind of magic that we’ve never seen before, since Star and Marco created their own magic? While the magic may be gone, there’s still endless possibilities for Earth and Mewni being cleaved together, hinting at a 5th season.
>Magic is destroyed because... reasons >Glossaryck and the Magic High Commission are gone >Any creature that was made of magic is gone >There were so many possible ways that this could all be handled that would have been better and made more sense, but they didn't do that. >Earth and Mewni are merged together, leading to a lot of obvious chaos and confusion and possibly more issues than that could really solve >Dimensional travel is dead >The finale was horribly paced and questionably executed like the rest of the season and various plot points were >Some of the things that made the series interesting in the beginning, both magic and dimensional travel, were just tossed away But hey, Starco, am I right? Everything is clearly just an afterthought so they could have that be the only thing that mattered in the long run. The destruction of magic itself just so two teenagers could snog it up.
That odd ending made me feel like this show isn’t over. Whether there’s like a movie, or a spin-off series, or a 5th season, or even like a random surprise 22nd episode. Specifically that Marco’s cheeks still need to be explained. Also, it would be really cool if we got to see the blended world expanded a bit more!
While I haven’t agreed with you in the slightest on the state of this season up till this point. I agree that this final was serviceable at best...could’ve at least given us a kiss before the credits rolled. Hey at least it’s better than the writing for G.O.T lately.
Here is the ultimate theory: Marco has crescent moon cheeks and so does Celena the shy who in the magic book of spells is heavily implied to be the part demon because her dad is a demon, therefore relating her to the lucitors. In addition, during the blood moon ball episode, the light didn't bind Marco and Star's souls but actually bound Tom and and Marco's souls because Tom technically interrupted there dance by pushing Marco which caused the light to bind their souls when Tom's hand was touching Marco's chest. And therefore, Tomco is canon.
This finale was very meh for me. Resolution was extremely anticlimactic and the only time I felt tension was when Marco fought Tom and got stabbed (which was meaningless anyway). Also I've commented this a million times already but the ending reminds me of Crisis on Infinite Earths.
I didn't mind the finale, but felt like it cleaved our hearts apart. Maybe if it was an hour I'd be more satisfying. Fingers crossed that we at least get a movie expanding more on what has happened in the end. As they say: "Every beginning has an end and every end has a beginning."🤞🏽
If only a deal can work out between Disney and Daron Nefcy to create a follow up TV movie to this series finale. It worked before on other shows outside Disney. A half hour of this doesn’t justify the outcome story-wise, including what does the main characters now make out of this new "Mearth."
Glossy said magic would put Marco where he belongs. Well, Marco belongs with Star, so if they are in two separate dimensions, before dying, magic had to put them where they belonged, together, by fusing their dimensions. Seems pretty logical in a wibbly wobbly magical sense.
....I was not phased with this finale for some reason, and I wish they made episodes before the finale to cover more stuff so it wasn't rushed..also....HoW aM I FiRst Nvm I took too long To Type T-T
🎶It's going to be little wild and little weird! 🎶 We will end up together in the same dimension ❤❤❤ Thank you for all your beautiful reaction of SVTFOE, Zamber 🙂❤
Is good to see you. I love watching all of your reactions and I'm so excited to watch the last episode of svtfoe but at the same time I'm sad because svtfoe is over😢😌my favorite show 😭
I really thought that Selena was the creator of the whispering spell, and the "connection" that marco had with selena were going to be the amazing plot back in the well of magic, I'm not mad tho...
So weird for Disney to end a show by DESTROYING magic. Isn't Disney all about the magic?! Like...if I had Star's powers, the last thing I would want to do would be to destroy them. Also...poor Hekapoo and Glossaryk... And what was the point of stabbing Marco?! Like...it hardly phased him. Not that I want him to die or whatever, but maybe a bit more tension. Whatever, I enjoyed it for what it is.
The ending was rushed and is unrealistic. Imagine if our universe crashed with another. Its a cartoon. but realistically what is going to happen leader ship wise. Years of tradtion gone. Not to say i dont like it. But ueah the whole scenes with marco and star seem really pushed to the brink..no toffee. No information. No clips or art at the end to show anything. But like...it felt final but ...unsatisfying. mina. Luda. Toffee. Glossaryck. Magic is gone yet a flying ponyhead exists still. Did we ever see the under water tavern ? Marco got stabbed but nothinf happened ? In short. It was short. Rushed. Came to a abrupt conclusion that didnt even have the decency to show how this all worked out in a clip or an art piece or show how this was all destined to happen. It was all pointless and it all fixed itself way to quickly. The power of pudding. And how did the dimesions even fuse ? Will we ever know ? Edit: Ty u for the likes Glad someone read my rant Xd
The Starchan's that ending in a show about magic is unrealistic? It’s not that big of a deal. It’s a damn cartoon. For an ending, it’s a good ending. I just wish the season was less rushed
I have finished. From binging Zamber's reactions from Season 1 to this finale. What a journey♥️💐 Friends, now we only have esteemed artist Moringmark (from Instagram/Reddit) who actually makes post-Cleave fanart comics. They're beautiful✨ And _really_ close to canon so everyone just accepted it as fanon🤣
This last episode was like an exasperated parent rushing the ending of a what was up until then an engaging bedtime story so they can tell the kids to be quiet and get back to watching late night TV...
I think this episodes just too rushed. Like way too rushed. It couldve been so much better. This is an extremely weak ending to a show with amazing episodes.
It’s not Daron’s fault, Disney didn’t give Star another season. If they ever do a spin-off I wanna see magic get recreated in a better way. Or maybe it already was and they just didn’t say it?
Mina is not gone, but uniting earth and Mewne left Crazy-Mina thwarted, since she is just another crazy nut in the woods. Earth now has monsters, lots of corn, unicorns, smart rats, and gators that mwahhhh. That sounds like a world I would like to live in.
Things never covered: Marco's stabbing by Unicorn, Marco's Monster Arm, Magic High Comission, Goat dude, Toffee, Ludo, Monsters v Humans, Government System, Mina, Glossaryck, Butterfly forms, Origins of Magic (people like Father Time for example), Magic being tainted, Marco's cheek marks, The First Born (unicorn)
I could probably go on, if there's things that bother you, feel free to message down below
Pretty sure the first born died
@@andreiiglesia2813 Yeah, see I was gonna not include that, but the thing is, it's also just as easy to think Toffee just died and now half the fanbase is like, "Toffee is still alive". I mean, it's almost certain now that the magic is gone, but did it get corrupted? Why didn't it get corrupted? Did it know about the threat? Just confusing in general
@@amiel_edits Good Point! I know they have the materiel outside the show, but even like two episode with like 3-5 minutes spent on each queen would've been FAR better than like Quest Buy lmao
I pretty sure the monster arm was a one time thing, The ‘foreshadowing’ was just some funny thing to see Marco scared
@@LenLyr_ical Yeah, I always kinda thought that too, at least at the time. I just figured if they were gonna make that line, maybe like a one-liner mentioning it sometime would've been nice. I've seen lots of theories on how it could come back and it just sucks that it never even got a callback
I think about 6 things could happen from this point on:
1: Star is over and done forever
2: New book
3: New comic
4: Season 5 (I wish)
5: Meteora and Mariposa spin-off
6: Movie
Toffee vs the forces of magic
Now that's something I would watch for sure!
AssassinAJ05 YT Heck Yeah!
i agree only on 1,2,3, and 6
Jun Ye same but I mostly pick 1,2and 6
Honestly a lot of people died in this ending, and it kind of felt random that Star decided to destroy all magic (except for Pony Head floating apparently).
I wish we knew more about Globgor, Glossoryck, or Toffee’s backgrounds or motivations. Why did Glossoryck want this? Why did he make the MHC in the first place? Is the Butterfly transformation something all humans can do or just wand users?
That1Guy well there’s no more magic so no more butterfly form
Meteora and Mariposa can grow up together!
I am the evil goddess that made the 100th like 101th
That's a bright spot. Hekapoo's dead, all the spells are dead, we'll never see Kelly again. What about Nachos? Where was he? Higgs and the other new knights probably died of old age in the Neverzone but I don't see Hekapoo's dimension surviving without her. All of the spells. Magic.
If only they got their own show.
@@JamesWilson-vr3ql No im pretty sure all dimensions were combined because the dragon bikes were in the scene
Guys I have a random messed up theory on mariposa
Did Marcos parents do it in the season 1 finale
I think Marco and star are a sort of symbolism for the moon and star. They can never be separated because they are together as one to light up the night sky wherever they go.
Have you seen assassination classroom
The extremely Random guy what does that have to do with anything-
I TOUGHT OF THE EXACT SAME THING AHHH

I really wish the writers could've built more on what Marco said about the first Mewmans actually being humans and the carving of Glossaryck on the rock. It would've been nice to learn more about the lore and the world building of STVFOE.
They might end up releasing a book or comic spin off/tie-in or if disney lets them release a movie going in more detail.
But that's just a theory, so... idk.
With the last season cancelled and the ending rushed that was impossible
1:02 Zamber decided to jump into amnesia filled waters in the Realm of Magic and forget her name
Or insanely obsessed
Someone needs to get her pudding
Few things I like to point out:
The deck of cards (hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs) ended the magic
That king at 9:40? He's not a queen, but he's a *queen*, if you know what I mean ;)
Despite what Eclipsa did, Salaria still cares about her, evident by her anger towards Mina, which is a great message about parenthood!
And lastly, the magic wasn't keeping the dimensions together (through portals), it was keeping them apart.
Goodbye, SvtFoE! You will be missed.
I guess you could call it...
...
...
A Royal Flush...
@@obikim11 You think that's funny? Cuz it is
That would make a lot of sense that magic kept the dimensions apart, considering that Mewni didn’t originally have mewmans and that the first were actually humans who came through the magic.
He is still called a queen for some reason its in the book.
Literally made Mina the friggin villain? That’s so stupid
They could’ve had
Marco
Toffee
or Seth
DarthSilliest MyLifeIsOdd no hekapoo no portal separation
They should have done something like the total anhialation spell killed ponyhead or someone else then when they destroy magic is brings her back.
YES FINALLY WE GOT ECLIPSA BUTTERFLY FORM
TOO BAD ITS THE END OF THE SHOW LOL.
I’m really gonna miss the show though :/
Btw I think the intro was short because the magic is gonna be destroyed.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"you can cleave something apart, and you can cleave something together" - Glossaryck
We saw the wand get cleaved apart by the whispering spell and we saw the worlds cleaved together *TECHNICALLY* by the whispering spell as well. I'm gonna miss this show. I was hoping they'd do a star vs. "OVA" season that is just star fixing earth's racism and living peacefully in earth
Thought it was an ok enough ending. Could've definitely benefited from an hour-long format, rather than a half-hour one.
Let it be known that Toffee was indeed right.

@Isaiah Rucker sorry, i don 't understand, please explain

It’s such a...bittersweet feeling, to see this show end when I’m so lukewarm on it.
Starco is Endgame, but them being together didn’t impact the plot at all and they got one kiss.
That’s just great. Makes Allllllllllllll the shipping drama and the time wasted on other pairings and the disservice done to other characters TOTALLY worth it.
jisoo did that it has far more to do with execution than which pairing actually ends up together on principle.
Isabel Mejia the blood moon was bullshit
Marco’s cheekmarks were bullshit
I’m so glad that Moon got to see her mother one more time. But also I loved how Solaria held her granddaughter. Overall this ending was great and I’m happy though I wished Mina was redeemed, but that’s my only complaint. Star has a permanent place in my heart and this series will be forever remembered.
It's so sad that an once so great series had a such unsatisfying final season.
Like... I'm not even sad because it ended. I don't feel like someone who came at the end of a long journey. I just feel... Dead inside, in a negative way, show-related speaking.
Battle of Mewni was the turning point. After that, it became a slow downhill.
I really liked season 4 as it got a bit dark, but I felt like they built up for something that didn't happen... Yet. Star vs the forces of evil has tons of long specials, season 2-4 (even the opening). I highly doubt it's actually over.
Starco was so forced after battle for mewni I shipped it all in season 2
Moon is trash She doesn’t deserve river
Star is trash she doesn’t deserve Tom
Marco is trash he doesn’t deserve Jackie
@@rewriter3981 yeah, most of the characters are unredeemable assholes.
There's only a handful of actual good. (Moral wise) characters.
And everyone got off the hook. Moon, Star, Mina, Meteroa, and Ludo. (I like Ludo though)
The only person who got punished was Toffee and he was in the right the entire time??
Chicken Stripz personally I kinda don’t mind meteora’s getting off the hook while there should be consequences for the evil stuff she did she was a victim of unjust racism
I had high hopes for this episode and im a little disappointed i mean they could've made the fight with mina a little longer and whats the point of marco getting stabbed It wouldve been cool if that corrupted him releasing the monster arm making marco evil and the length of the episode really? 23 mins its the series finale for cornsake couldn't they have made it half an hour or 40 mins BUT overall i like the show not the best but not bad either.
*THIS IS JUST MY OPINION*
ikr
i was so disappointed
Yes, the length of the episode is for corn sake
Marco getting stabbed... tension? Marco and Kelly's relationship... tension? QuestBuy closing... no reason at all I can see. So. Much. Time. Wasted.
I feel the same way.
Also the ep was named "Cleaved" because they cleaved Mewni and Earth together
Oh
@STAR CHICKEN what?
@STAR CHICKEN im confusion
Omg I didn't notice that it's like glossaries speech from season 2
Entire town of echo Creek was been teleported to mewni
Apparently Daron started working on the finale in December and completed it a month before it aired
I think the best of the episode is to see all the queens together, + Eclipsa and Moon seeing their moms again, but the ending feels meh
It was wayyy too rushed
Star: I'm destroying the magic open the portals
Hekapoo: ok

“she goes back down”
“i’m going to earth”
*acts shocked*
I said it, but i didn't think star "would" say it to her Mom. I thought she was just gonna dip out lol
Yeah idk how to feel about this ending either;/ I feel like it was rushed.. And I also think that Daron wanted to do longer finale I mean why Marco got stabbed by unicorn and then just "oh I'm okay now cool"?? Unless it was just for trailer shot..
I mean they destroyed magic, what's a magic wound gonna do?
It’s Daron’s fault not disney
Am I the only one wondering about the status of mewni and Earth?
Two worlds 'cleaved' together... Did the mass increase? Did they fix global warming? Lol
Exactly! Is gravity crushing? If not, what about resources? How many new people came over? Billions? Millions? 42? Is this worldwide or just Echo Creek/Mewni/Greater L.A. area's problem? Does SoCal secede from the union and become New Mewni? WTF IS GOING ON?!
I love the immediate tears once you saw Tom
Me too u,w,u

It’s kinda sad tho that a bunch of characters are gone now because of magic disappearing: the high commission, glossaryc, Star’s Spells (spider with a top hat, narwhals, etc 😭)
I’ll miss those characters.
"A bit anticlimactic, but I'll take it" is probably the best way to describe this finale.

I have been summoned and already watched the ending and I’m emotionally done with life 💜

Little flash of realisation that only sank in this morning: "Cleaved".
It's one of those words (like "inflammable") that has two, directly opposing definitions-
1) To split down the middle (like cutting a rock).
2) To bond together (like glue).
Both of these are true at the same time. Magic seems to be (mostly) gone, but at least these two mundane realms have been pulled together.
Its such a clever little word play.

They left it like that in case Disney ask the Creator to make a spin off , movie , or a story about how the get married and have to fight someone that finds a way to use dark magic and Marco , star and maybe their daughter work together to save the day, maybe an old bad guy returned

RIP for the Millhorses, Reynaldo, and the sentient spells.
Zamber pretending to be the fanbase sounded an awful lot like StarFan13...10/10 voice acting
Are we all going to over look the fact the Star, Moon and Eclipsa committed a act of mass genocide. Anyway seems like there was going to be another season and Disney came in and said they were canceled wrap everything up. To me every since Marco and Kelly got together on seemed more rushed than Nascar race.
Disney has a 4-season rule. It's really Daron's fault for not pacing herself knowing well that Star would never get a fifth season.
@@boomboommelody8891 really? How do you know Disney only allows 4 seasons? Steven universe has like 6 I believe
Hey, I’m here from the future! Our boys Phineas and Ferb got a movie in 2020 are now getting a season 5.
DO YOU THINK THAT, MAYBE JUST MAYBE……
Totally agree with your disappointment in this episode. Star always had such amazing finales and premieres and it kinda went out with a whimper. Also Ludo totally got gipped.
15:33 well they DID remove the shiny star that are always dropping from pony head neck
Zamber: " Oh, *_GOD,_* she's in the magic."
This is my favorite line from you yet.
Does anyone else recite Zamber’s intro with her? It’s like a weird muscle memory for me at this point but I ain’t mad tho lol 😂❤️💖⭐️😊
you know, their are so many brand new cartoons that you can look at now that star vs the forces of evil is over, like Disney's amphibia,101 Dalmatians street and the owl house (coming in 2020) and so much more. star vs the forces of evil was a great show, but it's time for BRAND-NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW CARTOONS coming this year in 2019-onwards!
Finally Earth and Mewni cleaved together forever ^-^
"Cleaved, now that's a funny word. You can cleave something apart. Or you can cleave something TOGETHER"
Coincidence to name of episode? I think NOT.
Star and Marco created a spell to match the dimensions
Magic:gets destroyed
Queens that appeared because of the magic: Star we don’t feel so good
Zamber join Blue in destroying Season 4 and Daron Nefcy.
I definitely get how you were feeling after the episode it's one of those situations where you're satisfied but yet you're not satisfied; you're just left wanting more due to the simple fact that they did not give us enough in the final season. I mean the biggest plot point that they never touched again was Marco and his monster arm.
Here’s how I personally would’ve handled the ending:
When we see Star and Marco slowly walking to each other at the end of the episode, instead we have them shout each other’s names, run to each other, and tackle each other to the ground, embracing in a long hug.
As they continue to hold each other, with smiles and tears in their eyes:
Marco: “Oh my God, Star! I thought I’d never see you again!”
Star: “It’s ok, Marco. I’m here now. We’ll never be separated ever again.”
Marco: “How? How did this happen?”
*Flashback to the Season 1 finale of Glossaryck saying “You can cleave something apart, or you can cleave something together.”*
Marco: “Glossaryck. This must’ve been his last trick. He knew this would happen.”
Star: “Yeah. Clever Glossaryck.”.
The two of them continue to hold each other in their arms, and start to look each other in the eyes, still with tears and smiles.
Marco: “But you were right about what you said in the Magic Realm: “With or without magic.....”
Star: “.....We belong together.”
The two then lean into each other for a long kiss.
>Magic is destroyed because... reasons
>Glossaryck and the Magic High Commission are gone
>Any creature that was made of magic is gone
>There were so many possible ways that this could all be handled that would have been better and made more sense, but they didn't do that.
>Earth and Mewni are merged together, leading to a lot of obvious chaos and confusion and possibly more issues than that could really solve
>Dimensional travel is dead
>The finale was horribly paced and questionably executed like the rest of the season and various plot points were
>Some of the things that made the series interesting in the beginning, both magic and dimensional travel, were just tossed away
But hey, Starco, am I right? Everything is clearly just an afterthought so they could have that be the only thing that mattered in the long run. The destruction of magic itself just so two teenagers could snog it up.
Yeah, we also killed thousands of people....
*Doesnt jana still have the pony in here hat*
waxy succulants the pony is dead
I've been watching your star vs the forces of evil reactions for 2 years. it so sad to know they are over, but it was great fun.
I dont liked the end
Zamber: They cant do that this is a kids show
Steven Universe: hold my sequel series
RiP, the best magic person in all cartoons. Glossaryk.
Spider with a top hat and laser puppies are dead.
0.0 ......... oh god;;;; my heart
The worst is doop doop is dead aswell
If only a deal can work out between Disney and Daron Nefcy to create a follow up TV movie to this series finale. It worked before on other shows outside Disney. A half hour of this doesn’t justify the outcome story-wise, including what does the main characters now make out of this new "Mearth."
Ikr it felt so rushed but It was emotional non the less
Glossy said magic would put Marco where he belongs. Well, Marco belongs with Star, so if they are in two separate dimensions, before dying, magic had to put them where they belonged, together, by fusing their dimensions. Seems pretty logical in a wibbly wobbly magical sense.
Goodbye Star butterfly 🦋
We’ll miss you and your adorable chubby heart cheeks 😊🥰
I guess since the thing that separated mewmans from humans was the magic when the magic was destroyed it returned all the mewmans to earth.
....I was not phased with this finale for some reason, and I wish they made episodes before the finale to cover more stuff so it wasn't rushed..also....HoW aM I FiRst
Nvm I took too long
To Type T-T
🎶It's going to be little wild and little weird! 🎶
We will end up together in the same dimension
❤❤❤
Thank you for all your beautiful reaction of SVTFOE, Zamber 🙂❤
Is good to see you. I love watching all of your reactions and I'm so excited to watch the last episode of svtfoe but at the same time I'm sad because svtfoe is over😢😌my favorite show 😭
I really thought that Selena was the creator of the whispering spell, and the "connection" that marco had with selena were going to be the amazing plot back in the well of magic, I'm not mad tho...
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i would have loveddddddddddd that!
Me:
Steven universe : Battle of heart and mind. ➡️😭😭😭😍😍😍
SVTFOE end ➡️😭😑😑🤔🤔😔
Edit: Ty u for the likes
Glad someone read my rant Xd
The Starchan's that ending in a show about magic is unrealistic?
It’s not that big of a deal. It’s a damn cartoon. For an ending, it’s a good ending. I just wish the season was less rushed
@@ximienlundquist8487 ok. I still think it was unrealistic even for this show.
I have finished. From binging Zamber's reactions from Season 1 to this finale. What a journey♥️💐
Friends, now we only have esteemed artist Moringmark (from Instagram/Reddit) who actually makes post-Cleave fanart comics. They're beautiful✨
And _really_ close to canon so everyone just accepted it as fanon🤣
what if they forgot their memories?
just a theory.
This finale was honestly garbage and anti-climactic
The four butterflies to destroy the magic were the four playing card suits- hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs
This show hate unicorns a lot. Like they died for no good reasons, after being corrupted.
I dunno, this ending was meh
It comes back to what glosaryk said "you can cleave things apart AND cleave things together"
Svtfoe is just amazing and it had a great ending
Mina is not gone, but uniting earth and Mewne left Crazy-Mina thwarted, since she is just another crazy nut in the woods.
Earth now has monsters, lots of corn, unicorns, smart rats, and gators that mwahhhh. That sounds like a world I would like to live in.
You would want live in a world with angry man-eating giant spiders? Earth already had rats, gators, and lots of corn.
