The Battle For Mewni is absolutely the best part of the show. All the lore, action, and humor are perfectly balanced. It was definitely the turning point of the series. Whether or not it turned in a good direction, I'll let you decide.
5:15 "Eclipsa's alive, and I made a deal with her" is one of my favorite lines in the show. 15:51 The half wand flag is so simple yet so cool in my opinion. 18:16 "Singin' with the angels" still cracks me up lmao. 22:01 "Poor little butterfly, you've lost your wings" is such a savage line. Battle for Mewni was so heavy and emotional compared to what came before it, and does a really good job at setting up the rest of the show's themes and storylines in my opinion.
Ah Battle for Mewnie, what many consider the peak of the show. The perfect mix of lore, stakes, action, and the Star Vs. brand of humor. People's feeling for Season 3 proper are mixed, some are colder on it but I still think it's really good. Season 4 is...complicated.
Moon’s deal with Eclipsa was that once Toffee was dead, Eclipsa would be set free. When Moon used the spell the first time, she purposefully aimed for a non-lethal part of Toffee’s body (only a single finger), so ensure that he would be defeated but not killed (so that Eclipsa wouldn’t be set free). Once Star used the spell, however, and Toffee was truly killed, the deal between Moon and Eclipsa finally started to work its magic, and the crystal that Eclipsa was trapped in is now starting to break. While Moon should have simply upheld her end of the bargain, we gotta remember that she was just a teenager being manipulated by the adults around her, and she didn’t know who she could and couldn’t trust. Mewmans are taught since birth that monsters are evil (even though we as the viewer can see that that’s not the case). It makes sense why Moon would be hesitant to free someone who she’s been told time and time again is pure evil (regardless of whether or not Eclipsa is).
It's also worth noting that it seems that Moon's mother was working towards peace w/ the "monsters". She was trying to do better and create a better world for her daughter. But with the propaganda from birth and her mom being killed in her attempts to make peace, yes by a splinter group but in such emotionally tumultuous state, she's not exactly in the best headspace for all this, Moon is now Queen and has to make a decision. And all this is the perfect storm to cement ingrained prejudices. So it's a "no duh" to the audience of Moon's realization that "Of course, you're a parent too." w/ Buffrog but she's steeped decades into this deeply ingrained prejudice, while dealing w/ the return of the man who killed her mother, in a desperate situation of trying to keep control of her Queendom and the people she's in charge of, and trying to keep her daughter safe. Baby steps are still a big accomplishment to the baby taking those steps. Though there's still a lot more walking to do and running to learn.
"If she loved a monster, did she LOVE a monster...?" AMAZING LINE LMAO Also I'm enjoying these reactions so much! I'm hoping that you'll find enjoyment in the following season too:D
I do not recall seeing the season 3 OP on Battle for Mewni. I do, however, remember seeing special bumpers and it being this whole event during the show. and the episodes being played back to back several times that day. I believe there wasn't an OP at all - it must be a streaming thing.
Great reaction! I loved this whole Toffe arc! I really like what Toffee was able to accomplish, and I am still bitter about how they ended Toffee... Also the scene when Toffee thinks that he won is one of my favorite moments in the whole show! I will also say that I really like the slow build of Eclipsa!
the main issue with the eps that follow this (or not long after this), if i remember correctly, is the fact they changed writing styles. It went from planning a long plot, foreshadowing, all that, for something like leadng up to the battle for mewni, to writing in a more episodic sense, not planning long plots as much and more so, making it up as they go. It shows heavily in the fact that, there are good moments, ideas, and plot points, but most frustatingly, they are often not followed up on. Still, it's worth the ride, mostly, it's just very unfortunate.
Ludo honestly became of of my favorite characters starting here, and… Glossaryck is Glossaryck. I’m not the biggest fan of coocoolander trope characters but his journey with Ludo turned him into one of the more complex characters that I feel like they didn’t go far enough with. I’m really glad you’re going to continue! I’d much rather hear your full thoughts on the show. Especially since season 3 & 4 both have interesting episodes about the Butterfly family.

Oh man Star’s death scene changed me forever gosh that scene was SO HEARTWRENCHING BUT SO GOOOOD it’s been so long since I first watched this oh my gosh, I still remember waking up early to watch it being live-streamed by TH-camrs haha
While the plot from here on is going to be kind of all over the place, they're going to GO OFF on the prejudice and systemic racism themes, I can't wait for you to see it ❤❤❤
The ending of the show reveals glossaryk’s role through time travel of initiating the cycle of magic. He does what he needs to to make the events of the show happen He has no loyalty to anyone
i can see why people said to end it here, most major plot threads feel nicely wrapped up for the most part i think, there's still a good amount of good episodes still to come but the overarching plots end up seguewaying into the bad episodes and stopping halfway leaves too many things unresolved for it to feel properly satisfying. but now it's finally queen eclipsa time, best character hands down IMO. also, i interpreted ludo/toffee's 'did i have a part to play in this?' 'no' is more about how ludo asking about if he specifically was important to making toffee's goals happening and toffee is telling him that it wasn't significant that it was him, he was just a pawn that toffee manipulated, it could've been basically anyone in that position because the major steps of the plan was ultimately because of toffee.
Toffee is one of my favorite villains in all fiction and i dont even like SvtFoE that much. 0 nonsense, so direct, so effective, so professional And what a build up for Eclipsa, in case of you have missed on that moment that Moon canalised Eclipsa magic through her in front of an enemy army, in front of the terrifying cold of Toffee in his peak, in front of the one that killed her mother, on that brief moment she realized that the most terrifying outcome would be let Eclipsa go free and that is why she diverted the spell that should have killed Toffee
My aunt runs a childcare center that has a pet lizard. I have exclusively communicated with it via "wah"s the Queen does to the gators, it seems to like me a lot lol. The Moon backstory is so good, I remember gasping when I first heard it!! Eclipsa is the one character I feel could have been portrayed better. I am biased because I love her and support her.
Glossaryk said to Ludo/Toffie when the book burned that he "doesn't have a side" aka. he isn't favoring any parties. (On a side note that is one of my favorite one-liners in the show)
Great video Bill, I love watching your videos. It's like watching a friend talk about something they like, but I have one question: Where's the rest of the season? I'm looking forward to seeing your reactions about the third season and the much talked about finale. PS: I'm Brazilian, so if something doesn't make a lot of sense, it's because I haven't mastered this language very well yet.
Oh Toffee was 100% dismissing any possibility that Ludo could have had any kind of impact on his plan, help or hurt. He has zero respect for the guy which makes it more delicious when Ludo kersplats him. RIP Toffee, best actual villain in the series. You will be missed.
we can say anything about this show before or after. But battle for mewnie its for me the absolute PEAK of the writing and hype around the characters god, that whole scene of moon using even her last breath to try cursing and killing toffe for taking away her little girl and then marco FUCKING TRYING TO KILL SOMEONE that honest right boy atacked trying to kill toffe with tears in his eyes jeez, that whole moment still gives me the chills and i love it... and toffe dying SO sudenly and fast. . . .i don't like it a bit
Bill you should see if you can read the Book of Spells. It's published and each queen's chapter details more lore about each of them. There's some spoilers for a few things later in the show, but I think it's important for understanding the history of mewni, and I personally think it's really interesting.
Honestly, the later seasons aren't even that bad. I loved the show every step of the way up until the end of season 5 and finale. I didnt like the ending. But i still liked seasons 4 and 5.
The wand is an identifiable object of the show. If she didn't have it in the intro, that itself would be a spoiler of her not getting it, wouldn't? Also, I don't care about spoilers. If I know the full ending of a series, it only makes me more curious to see how the writers get story there. Do I like being surprised and seeing twists? Yes, I love it! But I'm not gonna cry if I happen across info about something that's coming up.
I like to pretend that after this mini-movie the remaining season went downhill steadily enough that there never was a 4th season. nope. no season 4...
In my (very unpopular) opinion, i dont think the show ends in a terrible way. Yes its not perfect, but i still enjoyed every minute of it and liked the ending, it just felt... quick.
i honestly don't remember if this was when they debuted the new intro. It might have been, but I'm not sure. I also think they aired continuously on DisneyXD, so we didn't see it four times!
hey bill i have a music recommendation that i think might be new to the channel (or at least i haven’t seen anyone talk about him before). my current favorite musician is Quadeca, and his most recent album, I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You, is both amazing and right up your alley. quadeca, or ben, is a true youtube gen z-er (i think he’s like 22) who grew up in the youtube rap scene but has branched out over time into some really interesting musical areas like art pop, hyperpop, experimental hip hop production, and whatever the fuck “folktronica” is (he doesn’t know even though google says his album is folktronica, ironically). IDMTHY is a concept album from the point of view of a ghost and basically details the process of grief from the point of view of the deceased, who mourns the fact that they can no longer interact with or make themself known to their living loved ones. it’s honestly stunning sonically and the perfect victim for your style of lyrical analysis
heres a hot take: the entire show is fine. almost all of where it goes from here is fine. dont let people form your opinions for you. (which you seem to be doing a great job of so far, Bill)
I would disagree with stiopping here, I think season 3 is fairly solid. Season 4 makes some very bad choices, although there are a few great episodes in it.
its interesting how when people talk trash on a thing they end up promoting it. the intro and trailer did show off a few spoilers but a lot of that was here and gone quickly fans loved looking at intros, trailers, posters to find out who would be on what side of good or evil, crafting theories, trying to figure stuff out he show that gives away the MOST spoilers is Miraculous Ladybug and that comes from the official company its self not the fandom The show I watched and knew the least about was maybe Owl House Marcy was a good mystery on Amphibia but she was still in the 2nd intro and My Life With Superman , the new one, has a collection of spoiler characters in the intro... which I didn't notice at 1st but they are indeed there. Gravity Falls had a good intro same up to a point and just enough to be interesting with out giving things away. Plus they did fake spoilers. She-Ra I think did spoilers in there intro as the good/evil line up did change a few times.
It is very unfortunate that you did get the season 3 opening each time because yea when it aired the opening only played at the end because like you could easily tell it spoils stuff a decent amount but having it after the whole special was a better way of experiencing it which is the way it aired originally. I also have thoughts on the series similar to what some said this special I do think would be a fitting end of the series if it were but things that come later are still enjoyable and fun to see but following this special the writing in the show seems to take a dip progressing to the end of the series as a whole, enough of a dip that I wound up dropping the show and still have not seen the last season because it just stopped being an enjoyable watch for me but I also think it does have to do a lot with what kept my interest in the show, because I had fun with the first two seasons nonserialized episodes but was hooked far more by the serialized plot revolving around Toffee and later Eclipsa then the show begins the 3rd season with a full serialized special that was solid and then hops back into nonserialization until close to the end of the season ad does so with subsequent seasons and that threw me off because I wished the show would choose whether it wanted to be a full serialized show or not and when the most interesting plots of the serialization in my opinion were sufficiently explored that's when I lost interest in continuing. Overall I would say it is a show I don't hate but wanted to see do better after seeing this particular special which felt like a solidly written plot but then drops the ball afterward in keeping up a similar feeling of being as well planned and written.
Where is the last season of star vs the forces of evil? Im i just not seeing it cuz its banned in my country or somenthing? If anybodys noticing this comment, please tell me if he made a comment on this or somenthing 'xd
I have no idea I binge thethirdbills reaction videos after months of ignoring TH-cam, and I see he did this months back, and I can’t find the last season either 😔 it’s so good I hope he brings it back I wanna see his reaction
i saw you had a question about the royal family lineage and, because the show doesn't get into the things you are asking (and what the show does get into, i wont touch) i thought id answer here. however, if you dont want those answers, as non-spoilery as they are, i understand and will do a thing to make sure there's a large page-break to respect your wishes: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . * yes, Toffee killed Queen Moon's mom (who is named Comet! we get at least a little bit of info about each Queen that was shown in that one crazy scene with multiple Stars where Toffee's finger falls out of the painting. Queen Comet was not featured because we do not go into her at all minus the impact her death had on Moon as discussed in this special here) *the anti-monster stuff started way before Moon, actually. what Comet did was get the closest to peace with the Monsters any Mewman royal had gotten, and then she was assassinated. so that's why Queen Moon's prejudice is especially high; she has a kind of "her mom was nice to Monsters and look what happened" perspective on it basically, and that's why her rule was very anti-Monster and kind of "blind but quiet hatred"-y as you can see in how she dismisses Star and Monsters and anything arguing with her anti-Monster perspective yet also very "I understand, Star" about it because she saw her mom go through those thoughts and feelings about Monsters *we do get a little bit more about Comet in the future, such as seeing a properly huge painting of her (i dont think it is the same kind of painting/tapestry as The Grandma Room, but i last saw this dhow as it aired so idk) *also, yes, your goth queen is immortal and thousands of years old, p sure she qualifies as an adult *also, either you or me misunderstood Glossaryck in the "I'm going to your mother's chapter" bit. he flipped the book pages so HE could go to her chapter, not so he could show Moon her chapter. what Moon saw was Eclipsa's chapter. it is possible he could have been manipulating Moon, you are so totally right, but there is an entire book about the Star Vs. which features more info on the queens in it and in the queen sections, it confirms Comet was either Glossaryck's favorite or one of his favorites because she was such a good cook and always left food out for him so he was mourning. the question just is "was he only mourning and got careless? or was he mourning and manipulative (and maybe wanted vengeance for his favorite queen/was being petty about his favorite queen being taken away)?". youll find out more about him and why he is so... "neutral" as you put it, id put it as "unconcerned" but "neutral" also explains him well, primarily during the final episode. (also the book is called Star Vs The Forces Of Evil: Magic Book Of Spells, it is one of the few pieces of Star Vs merch i recommend people as i personally love the queen history and the political intrigue plot in S3 the best, so any info on the queens is fun for me so i do recommend it for that reason. also, likely bc so many people dislike the finale, the book is cheap. esp second-hand. im talking hardcover costs $8 new (from some sellers anyway) or used (from many) levels of cheap. so, again, i recommend it lmao) *i will not confirm or deny anything about Eclipsa and her reign, except that she is my favorite character and i love her (admittingly, i love Tom too and you dont like him thus far tho) i will forever mourn that we never see Eclipsa and Toffee interact however. they wouldve been iconic, probably lmao rip *(fun fact you wont get from watching the series about Toffee btw: the fandom was DETERMINED for a long time to ship him with a royal Mewman, almost entirely (but not solely) Moon. a lot of people had many theories about him and this special proved all of them wrong. HOWEVER, seeing people do a Royal Guard/Prince!Toffee au shipping him with Moon as friends/crushes to enemies (with some aus of this formula being back to friends/lovers), basically, was fun and i still have some Moon × Toffee and half-monster!Star fanart saved on my phone. (my favorites were by Noekriz, and also Kabuki-Akuma now Kabukiaku) its really cute actually, i highly recommend looking up some of the tumblr/twitter fanart of what people were theorizing/headcanoning Toffee's past to be, along with some of his ship art, bc i really do wish the show had gone more into Toffee than it did. i wouldve loved to have seen his motivations been more personal, and im a sucker for a tragic love story from a villain. but, yeah, i love Toffee and i do recommend you look up the past fan forums about him because WOW was that a fun time to be a Star Vs/Toffee fan lmao) hope that helped!
People told you to stop the series after Battle for Mewni? I think this is people overreacting to Season 4 and retroactively applying that disappointment towards this season as well - Season 3 is great, flawed but great, and anyone stopping here would miss out on so much that the show has to offer.
I can totally understand why people say stop here but Eclipsa is probably my favorite character so despite my own issues with where the show goes it's still worth the watch IMO. Personally I can't stand Glosseryk. Other then just being gross in general the whole "cryptic mentor" shtick irritates the crap out of me. So much drama could've been avoided if he weren't such a jackass.
Know your busy with other stuff now, but would be sick to see you react to chainsaw man. Not really the usual kinda stuff you react too, but think thats why it would be cool to see. Just a tip tough!
Ah, Battle For Mewni. It's _such_ a shame that the show ended here; there was _so_ much potential. Oh well, time to move on! Lol, just kidding. The rest of the show is okay, but this (in my opinion) would've been a MUCH better stopping point than what we got.
And this my dear friends is how you use a Deus Ex Machina to get rid of one of the Best Villains in modern animation in one of the most anticlimactic ways possible.
Congrats, you finished the best part of the series…it all goes downhill from here There are some good things but the bad overweigh the good way too much At least for me
Am i the only one who don't like when someone discussing about battle for mewni and season 3 like it's a separate things, it's like saying the season 2a and season 2b is different seasons which they clearly not
With how much sh*t gets thrown at this show reguralry it's easy to believe that it's bad even if u did enjoy it. I knew it had a lot of great stuff in it, and I knew season 3 was actually as great as s1-2, but rewatching this show with u makes me recontextualise my entire expirience. I can't believe some people say the show feels unplanned after this moment, as now I can clearly see they were setting up s3-4 and the show's finale throughout s1-2 and "The battle of Mewni". And if u look at svtfoe at a certain angle, this might be the show with 1 of the most interesting plots ever made. I still think s4 is the weakest, but I also think it's quite great nonetheless. The love triangle still annoys me though. But honestly, it's not much worse then the Legend of Korra 1.
After this season finale, literally all the characters except Tom and Jackie go majorly downhill. Mainly Star, Marco, and Moon, become really insufferable. Some of the new characters are good though.
From what I've heard, it's time to stop watching this show because the following episodes are a great demonstration of what happens when you 1. Don't know what your ending is going to entail. 2. Listen to your fans (who appear to be disproportionately made up of shippers) and overreact to what they think they want.
I love how Toffee is a no nonsense kind of villain.
He did his thing, and then left. No monolog, no crazy laugh, just walks away.
The best part of the Battle for Mewni is how it explains everything about Queen Moon and why she is the way she is.
The Battle For Mewni is absolutely the best part of the show. All the lore, action, and humor are perfectly balanced. It was definitely the turning point of the series. Whether or not it turned in a good direction, I'll let you decide.
Agreed
Oh boy, I can only imagine what he'll think of season three.
It was so good.
Highly agreed!!!!
@@genjis5155season 3 was phenomenal

Ah yes, the Battle for Mewni. You watch this part of the series, and just when you think the series can't get any better than this, it doesn't! :D
Yeah! :)
lol
Glossarick is pretty much loyal to whoever has the book and wand.
The ending of the show reveals glossaryk’s role through time travel of initiating the cycle of magic. He does what he needs to to make the events of the show happen

Toffee is one of my favorite villains in all fiction and i dont even like SvtFoE that much.

Going to re-iterate this every video just to offset some of the negative. I think you are really going to love the entire finish of this show
Mostly it's not about Glossaryck being burned, but moreso the history and knowledge recorded in the book from the previous queens being lost forever.
Glossaryk said to Ludo/Toffie when the book burned that he "doesn't have a side" aka. he isn't favoring any parties. (On a side note that is one of my favorite one-liners in the show)
10:44 damn my manz was neutral about his death

that honest right boy atacked trying to kill toffe with tears in his eyes
jeez, that whole moment still gives me the chills and i love it...
and toffe dying SO sudenly and fast. . . .i don't like it a bit
I can’t wait for you to get to know Eclipsa better. 😁
Glossoric will always be my favorite character when u really dissect his actions
Y
Idk if you know, but Ludo and King River are voice by Alan Tudyk.
Keep going the next few villains the show focuses on. are going to be pretty good.
THE MUSIC IN THIS SPECIAL AAAAAAAAAA ITS SOOOOOO GOOD
The wand is an identifiable object of the show.
Yes the intro sorta changes over time but not spoiler wise
I like to pretend that after this mini-movie the remaining season went downhill steadily enough that there never was a 4th season.
nope. no season 4...
I still remember watching all of this on like a random facebook post at 3am
Im glad you liked it
damn,you are SPEEDRUNNING this show
In my (very unpopular) opinion, i dont think the show ends in a terrible way. Yes its not perfect, but i still enjoyed every minute of it and liked the ending, it just felt... quick.
i honestly don't remember if this was when they debuted the new intro. It might have been, but I'm not sure. I also think they aired continuously on DisneyXD, so we didn't see it four times!
I really hope you didn't stop here. The final season was defiantly the weakest but it had a few great episodes!
Sailor Moon has Sailor V's name (Mina)
can't wait for you to react to the next season, a character we've seen before gets really fleshed out and becomes the best character
It's interesting how much stuff you inadvertently predicted in your analysis
nippleback band name, called it--- had me rollin!
Buff Frog is an amazing father through and through :3
hey bill i have a music recommendation that i think might be new to the channel (or at least i haven’t seen anyone talk about him before). my current favorite musician is Quadeca, and his most recent album, I Didn’t Mean To Haunt You, is both amazing and right up your alley. quadeca, or ben, is a true youtube gen z-er (i think he’s like 22) who grew up in the youtube rap scene but has branched out over time into some really interesting musical areas like art pop, hyperpop, experimental hip hop production, and whatever the fuck “folktronica” is (he doesn’t know even though google says his album is folktronica, ironically).
(which you seem to be doing a great job of so far, Bill)
loved this so much i recorded it and never deleted it !!
I would disagree with stiopping here, I think season 3 is fairly solid. Season 4 makes some very bad choices, although there are a few great episodes in it.
Rewatching this until your next Star vid comes out. 😂
You won't upload more videos about this show?
We're finally getting into the family drama!!!
Cool, you finished the show!!!
I don't know i just feel like you would love to listen to derivakat, she is an amazing artist!
Just curious, do you plan on finishing this show?
People can say whatever they want, I am a firm Season 3 enjoyer
its interesting how when people talk trash on a thing they end up promoting it.
the intro and trailer did show off a few spoilers but a lot of that was here and gone quickly fans loved looking at intros, trailers, posters to find out who would be on what side of good or evil, crafting theories, trying to figure stuff out
he show that gives away the MOST spoilers is Miraculous Ladybug and that comes from the official company its self not the fandom
The show I watched and knew the least about was maybe Owl House
Marcy was a good mystery on Amphibia but she was still in the 2nd intro
and My Life With Superman , the new one, has a collection of spoiler characters in the intro... which I didn't notice at 1st but they are indeed there.
Gravity Falls had a good intro same up to a point and just enough to be interesting with out giving things away. Plus they did fake spoilers.
She-Ra I think did spoilers in there intro as the good/evil line up did change a few times.
Eclipsa is my favorite character 💜
"meat cute" 😂 amazing
Where is the last season of star vs the forces of evil? Im i just not seeing it cuz its banned in my country or somenthing? If anybodys noticing this comment, please tell me if he made a comment on this or somenthing 'xd
I have no idea I binge thethirdbills reaction videos after months of ignoring TH-cam, and I see he did this months back, and I can’t find the last season either 😔 it’s so good I hope he brings it back I wanna see his reaction
I can't wait to see you react to the next episodes!
i saw you had a question about the royal family lineage and, because the show doesn't get into the things you are asking (and what the show does get into, i wont touch) i thought id answer here. however, if you dont want those answers, as non-spoilery as they are, i understand and will do a thing to make sure there's a large page-break to respect your wishes:

* yes, Toffee killed Queen Moon's mom (who is named Comet! we get at least a little bit of info about each Queen that was shown in that one crazy scene with multiple Stars where Toffee's finger falls out of the painting. Queen Comet was not featured because we do not go into her at all minus the impact her death had on Moon as discussed in this special here)
*the anti-monster stuff started way before Moon, actually. what Comet did was get the closest to peace with the Monsters any Mewman royal had gotten, and then she was assassinated. so that's why Queen Moon's prejudice is especially high; she has a kind of "her mom was nice to Monsters and look what happened" perspective on it basically, and that's why her rule was very anti-Monster and kind of "blind but quiet hatred"-y as you can see in how she dismisses Star and Monsters and anything arguing with her anti-Monster perspective yet also very "I understand, Star" about it because she saw her mom go through those thoughts and feelings about Monsters
*we do get a little bit more about Comet in the future, such as seeing a properly huge painting of her (i dont think it is the same kind of painting/tapestry as The Grandma Room, but i last saw this dhow as it aired so idk)
*also, yes, your goth queen is immortal and thousands of years old, p sure she qualifies as an adult
*also, either you or me misunderstood Glossaryck in the "I'm going to your mother's chapter" bit. he flipped the book pages so HE could go to her chapter, not so he could show Moon her chapter. what Moon saw was Eclipsa's chapter. it is possible he could have been manipulating Moon, you are so totally right, but there is an entire book about the Star Vs. which features more info on the queens in it and in the queen sections, it confirms Comet was either Glossaryck's favorite or one of his favorites because she was such a good cook and always left food out for him so he was mourning. the question just is "was he only mourning and got careless? or was he mourning and manipulative (and maybe wanted vengeance for his favorite queen/was being petty about his favorite queen being taken away)?". youll find out more about him and why he is so... "neutral" as you put it, id put it as "unconcerned" but "neutral" also explains him well, primarily during the final episode. (also the book is called Star Vs The Forces Of Evil: Magic Book Of Spells, it is one of the few pieces of Star Vs merch i recommend people as i personally love the queen history and the political intrigue plot in S3 the best, so any info on the queens is fun for me so i do recommend it for that reason. also, likely bc so many people dislike the finale, the book is cheap. esp second-hand. im talking hardcover costs $8 new (from some sellers anyway) or used (from many) levels of cheap. so, again, i recommend it lmao)
*i will not confirm or deny anything about Eclipsa and her reign, except that she is my favorite character and i love her (admittingly, i love Tom too and you dont like him thus far tho) i will forever mourn that we never see Eclipsa and Toffee interact however. they wouldve been iconic, probably lmao rip
*(fun fact you wont get from watching the series about Toffee btw: the fandom was DETERMINED for a long time to ship him with a royal Mewman, almost entirely (but not solely) Moon. a lot of people had many theories about him and this special proved all of them wrong. (my favorites were by Noekriz, and also Kabuki-Akuma now Kabukiaku) its really cute actually, i highly recommend looking up some of the tumblr/twitter fanart of what people were theorizing/headcanoning Toffee's past to be, along with some of his ship art, bc i really do wish the show had gone more into Toffee than it did. i wouldve loved to have seen his motivations been more personal, and im a sucker for a tragic love story from a villain. but, yeah, i love Toffee and i do recommend you look up the past fan forums about him because WOW was that a fun time to be a Star Vs/Toffee fan lmao)
hope that helped!
ACCEPT THE FEET!!!😂😂
The new intro had LOW energy. I miss the first version.
I watch whole of them!
I do really enjoy the Battle For Mewni but I also do feel like they kinda do Toffee a disservice
You gonna watch any more Star?
If you refuse to stop here you only have yourself to blame for what is to come.
once again requesting hiveswap 🔥
6:09 Meat cute!!! Haha
People are kinda mixed on season 3 but I still like it generally but season 4 makes me shudder
hey, who's better Catrina or Polly? No one has ever drawn that.
Do "bravest warriors" next
19s 😮 (But also love your reactions ❤)
Ah, Battle For Mewni. It's _such_ a shame that the show ended here; there was _so_ much potential. Oh well, time to move on!
Lol, just kidding. The rest of the show is okay, but this (in my opinion) would've been a MUCH better stopping point than what we got.
Honestly glosserick was a neutral jerk. He was a horrible father to his Beautiful son ❤
You’ll probably enjoy the rest of S3, but S4 will frustrate you.
Will u watch fiona and cake
The peak.
And this my dear friends is how you use a Deus Ex Machina to get rid of one of the Best Villains in modern animation in one of the most anticlimactic ways possible.
Congrats, you finished the best part of the series…it all goes downhill from here
There are some good things but the bad overweigh the good way too much
At least for me
Am i the only one who don't like when someone discussing about battle for mewni and season 3 like it's a separate things, it's like saying the season 2a and season 2b is different seasons which they clearly not
I... liked the finale. Is it just me?
I really hope so...
Good luck cause after this, after Battle For Mewni this is where show goes downhill really bad
Season 3 was still pretty good imo, season 4 was when they dropped the ball.
After this season finale, literally all the characters except Tom and Jackie go majorly downhill. Mainly Star, Marco, and Moon, become really insufferable. Some of the new characters are good though.
From what I've heard, it's time to stop watching this show because the following episodes are a great demonstration of what happens when you
1. Don't know what your ending is going to entail.
2. Listen to your fans (who appear to be disproportionately made up of shippers) and overreact to what they think they want.
You finally reached Peak for Star vs. This is the highest the series will ever be at. It's all downhill from here :(
Season 3 was alright tbh
Last good part of this show
