Exactly usbc is not an upgrade. I mean it is compared to lightning but it’s standard. I heard storage may increase. At least that has value, not that I need 256gb. What they should do is throw in AirPods Pro with USB-C, will never happen though.

All phones cameras increase each year to the previous model yet they don’t raise the price solely because that so why should apple have that privilege. Also the screen to bezel thing is just a standard phones bezels are getting smaller. I can buy a 2021 mid range android and it will have a better screen to bezel ratio than the iPhone 14.
It's amazing how these TH-camrs build up so much hype around these products! Saying things like: biggest upgrade in years is really funny and surprising considering the upgrades we are hoping to get this year are not that much.
If the battery upgrade is true, it would probably have 20%+ longer battery life and the pro max will probably be able to zoom to 60x or more with the periscope. Not to mention its possible the new battery will be able to charge 2x as fast, idk what "big upgrade" ur looking for if this aint it.
I love your channel, and I love my iPhone - but thiner bezels, a fancy mute switch and making it more expensive sounds like an iPhone "10.5" more than some ground breaking upgrade....I'll be holding on to my Mini 13
I'm going to wait another generation to see how it goes. Tempting that the regular 15 might get the 48MP camera. I have the 13 Pro right now and it does the job so I'm not in a rush. I want to see how they implement the USB-C (if they gimp the speeds on the regular vs Pro). This will be the first time I'm holding out more than two generations but honestly the changes are so minor between gens that I need to see a bigger jump in features to justify the cost.
I'm all for more camera controls but what would you even use more than 12x for anyways?? I'd rather they figure out how to get optical 12x for higher quality zoom but stick with 12x

Great vid with a lot of info.. to move into a new era with innovation a crimson red color would be a better choice along with a titanium color. There have been so many blue colors throughout the years there should be colors to capture the eye.

Not sure about the final implementation but the mute slider was not only iconic it was immensely useful. But to add to that, over the past couple of years my phone stays on silent 96% of the time. So mixed feelings.
This year I will be upgrading from my iPhone 11 (non-pro). It's been my favorite phone and it served me well for almost 4 years, and it's still at 81% battery capacity but I think it's time to retire the fella and see what the new gen is all about. I am thinking I'll go all out for the 15 Pro Max to make sure I won't want to upgrade for another 4+ years after that.
I have a 3 year old(July 2020) iPhone 11 Pro Max with 87% battery health and I've been considering whether to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro Max or wait one more year. I've never changed the battery. However I use both it and my Samsung phone daily.

i still love my sierra blue 13 pro. sure it doesn't feel like i unboxed it yesterday. but it feels like i could have unboxed it maybe a month or two ago. still works great. no signs of slow down. it'll prob be the 16 before i upgrade again...maybe the 17
For me the mute or silence switch on the iphone is very useful because I use it often whenever I have to mute my phone Instantly because it is just very quick & easy to put to silence with just one click of the switch..
Plus you can quickly look to see if it's muted or not based on the color. The mock-ups suggest that this feature will look totally different, significantly reducing its usefulness in my case.
These menial changes do nothing for me as an iPhone user. Gone are the days when you can actually be excited for the new iPhone coming out because of the revolutionary changes. Now it's all just smaller bezels, slightly better camera, or just a small software upgrade.

With the economy the way it is around the world , I think the pro models won’t be selling the way they normally do especially if there is only small features like a mute switch or usb charging
USB-C will not matter much to many long term users, because airdrop does the job well. And most use now fast wireless charging with magsafe. People mostly will upgrade mostly for camera this time.

Yes, Wireless charging is slow for some cheap wireless chargers. Apple wireless charger available in website even though expensive is also very slow. But wireless charging is improved for brands like ESR 3 in 1 halolock charger. I using since 1 year and it’s so fast. This has a cooling fan unlike traditional wireless charger. Now ESR has come up with latest halolock charger which is more faster than the previous version.
I would purchase the Grey/blue over a red unless is is a maroon/cranberry shade. Still believe the iPhone Pro Max 11 green was best color. Battery life improvement is always welcomed. And a customizable button will be useful for me.
If we get all these rumoured features , it seems to be a new model series with some good value to it , of course there’s always room for improvement. A little bit more flexibility as far as customisation goes would also be nice , the ability to have split screen, the ability to have some control over the animations and transitions would also be nice, there are other things to, but I realise Rome wasn’t built in a day, and apple is trying , so looking forward to see what actually comes with the 15 series.
I think split-screen functionalityshould be a no brainer for Apple at this point, at least with the larger models. The phones are big enough that I could easily browse 2 separate apps at the same time without sacrifice, but Apple refuses to add support for it in iOS.
I own the iPhone 11, bought back in 2019. I was really looking forward to upgrade this year, but I want the design to change. My phone still works perfectly for my use case, and I think I will wait one more year for the iPhone 16.
The 15 *IS* the big design change year. We won't see another design change until the 18. Here's an example. Same design: X --> XS --> 11 Pro, and then again same design: 12 Pro --> 13 Pro --> 14 Pro. Expect the same for 15 Pro --> 16 Pro --> 17 Pro. You'll be waiting 3 years and 2 months for another design change.
To be honest, i know alot of people arent super happy about the change to the mute slider potentially becoming an action button but im an adroid user and looking to try IOS and the Action button is looking like a pretty good thing i always saw the mute slider as kinda just a minor time saver bc you can still just put your phone on silent but the action button allows you to do so much more. (Gives it abit more customisation) something apple lacks compared to android like im used to

The biggest thing about all these features is the slimmer bezels. Why? Cause it means we are that much closer to a full screen iphone and thats the one for me.
Yes, increase the prices while everyone is struggling with rising inflation and interest rates. Apple can literally sell the iPhone at half that price and still make billions. No reason to increase the price in my opinion.
I really hope the camera this year's default settings are less-HDRy. Or, at least, I hope apple gives us a setting for no HDR on photos. I don't want to have to use a 3rd party camera app to be able to take photos with less dynamic range
I bought a 14 pro max for the camera because I do TH-cam and photography, and it’s been a nightmare. All my videos come out overexposed and bright, anything close up becomes blurry, and the video won’t stop jumping to zoom in and out. The camera also keeps zooming in and out of what I’m wanting and getting blurry and it’s so irritating. I feel like the camera and video is a step down from my old phone.
@@BoogSReviews yeah sadly I somewhat agree. The minimal focal distance of the 14 pro is like 50% higher than the 13 pro, and it’s super noticeable. Constantly flickering in and out of macro is so annoying. And yeah I am constantly having to reduce exposure-especially in video. Was somewhat of a disappointing upgrade from 13 pro

Agree on the HDR, seems like it gets a bit more aggressive with every iteration of the phone. Another thing that drives me nuts is the obscene over sharpening of the photos, especially in low light. I've found myself using the Lightroom mobile camera for photos and BeastCam for video since both have the option for manual control as well.
I’ve got the 13 pro. I’ve had it since launch and I’m sitting at 88% battery health. It seems my battery dies quickly but certain games drain faster but if I upgrade I would get the pro max even though the pro fits my hands so much better.I usually upgrade every 2 years and use to me on the S line when Apple had it. I would get 15 if the zoom was improved. My nephews play sports so a good zoom pic without blur would be great. Plus I’m in my late 40s so my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be so the pro max would be worth it to me. As for color….a dark red would be nice but how about something unexpected. My 6s was rose gold pink and that was one of my fav phones. I’d probably pick a blue color to match my watch s7. Though my mom has the red SE and it’s nice looking. She’s 88 and Facetimes pretty good.
Your battery is dying because you are a noob who charges it like a noob. I have had a 13 pro max since launch, it’s still at 100% health. You need to never let your battery go lower than 20% and never charge it over 85%. If you keep the charge between those two levels you will not kill your battery health for a very long time. Fact.

When I bought my iPhone 12 promax, I really loved the blue color and I even waited till it was in stock to get it because I had to have it but I never see it because I use a Földi case so I never actually see the phone color unless I take it out to wipe everything down or something

If an action button is inevitable, I would like to see a feature that compares to the back tap feature with multiple taps allows different shortcuts. Ex. Single tap, mute toggle. Double tap, camera. Triple tap, flashlight.

u had to have changed the battery at some point in 4 years... in not even a year yet my iphone 14 pro is at 88% battery.

Those are marketing terms that describe how the chips work, not the actual physical size of the chip. I was amazed too at first until I looked it up.

If we get all these rumoured features , it seems to be a new model series with some good value to it , of course there’s always room for improvement.
A little bit more flexibility as far as customisation goes would also be nice , the ability to have split screen, the ability to have some control over the animations and transitions would also be nice, there are other things to, but I realise Rome wasn’t built in a day, and apple is trying , so looking forward to see what actually comes with the 15 series.
I think split-screen functionalityshould be a no brainer for Apple at this point, at least with the larger models. The phones are big enough that I could easily browse 2 separate apps at the same time without sacrifice, but Apple refuses to add support for it in iOS.

I own the iPhone 11, bought back in 2019. I was really looking forward to upgrade this year, but I want the design to change. My phone still works perfectly for my use case, and I think I will wait one more year for the iPhone 16.
The 15 *IS* the big design change year. We won't see another design change until the 18. Here's an example. Same design: X --> XS --> 11 Pro, and then again same design: 12 Pro --> 13 Pro --> 14 Pro. Expect the same for 15 Pro --> 16 Pro --> 17 Pro. You'll be waiting 3 years and 2 months for another design change.
Really weird people want design changes when the design is at its best. How would you design an iPhone? Curved glass again?

To be honest, i know alot of people arent super happy about the change to the mute slider potentially becoming an action button but im an adroid user and looking to try IOS and the Action button is looking like a pretty good thing i always saw the mute slider as kinda just a minor time saver bc you can still just put your phone on silent but the action button allows you to do so much more. (Gives it abit more customisation) something apple lacks compared to android like im used to

The biggest thing about all these features is the slimmer bezels. Why? Cause it means we are that much closer to a full screen iphone and thats the one for me.
Yes, increase the prices while everyone is struggling with rising inflation and interest rates. Apple can literally sell the iPhone at half that price and still make billions. No reason to increase the price in my opinion.

I really hope the camera this year's default settings are less-HDRy. Or, at least, I hope apple gives us a setting for no HDR on photos. I don't want to have to use a 3rd party camera app to be able to take photos with less dynamic range
I bought a 14 pro max for the camera because I do TH-cam and photography, and it’s been a nightmare. All my videos come out overexposed and bright, anything close up becomes blurry, and the video won’t stop jumping to zoom in and out. The camera also keeps zooming in and out of what I’m wanting and getting blurry and it’s so irritating. I feel like the camera and video is a step down from my old phone.
@@BoogSReviews yeah sadly I somewhat agree. The minimal focal distance of the 14 pro is like 50% higher than the 13 pro, and it’s super noticeable. Constantly flickering in and out of macro is so annoying. And yeah I am constantly having to reduce exposure-especially in video. Was somewhat of a disappointing upgrade from 13 pro
What app do you use? I’m perpetually disappointed with the camera on my 13PM. Like to the point that I’ve been looking for a small digital camera to carry with me again
Agree on the HDR, seems like it gets a bit more aggressive with every iteration of the phone. Another thing that drives me nuts is the obscene over sharpening of the photos, especially in low light. I've found myself using the Lightroom mobile camera for photos and BeastCam for video since both have the option for manual control as well.

I’ve got the 13 pro. I’ve had it since launch and I’m sitting at 88% battery health. It seems my battery dies quickly but certain games drain faster but if I upgrade I would get the pro max even though the pro fits my hands so much better.I usually upgrade every 2 years and use to me on the S line when Apple had it. I would get 15 if the zoom was improved. My nephews play sports so a good zoom pic without blur would be great. Plus I’m in my late 40s so my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be so the pro max would be worth it to me. As for color….a dark red would be nice but how about something unexpected. My 6s was rose gold pink and that was one of my fav phones. I’d probably pick a blue color to match my watch s7. Though my mom has the red SE and it’s nice looking. She’s 88 and Facetimes pretty good.
my 14 pro max is at 92%. It dies so fast i havent even had it a year yet.
Your battery is dying because you are a noob who charges it like a noob. I have had a 13 pro max since launch, it’s still at 100% health. You need to never let your battery go lower than 20% and never charge it over 85%. If you keep the charge between those two levels you will not kill your battery health for a very long time. Fact.

I have noticed when I'm in a call when the phone is up to my ear it'll be a black screen then all of a sudden it'll light up and it will be on speaker mode, but I am unable to hear anything. Is anyone else having any of these issues? Thank you.😊

When I bought my iPhone 12 promax, I really loved the blue color and I even waited till it was in stock to get it because I had to have it but I never see it because I use a Földi case so I never actually see the phone color unless I take it out to wipe everything down or something
The A17 Bionic chip seems like a small upgrade compared to the A16 and A15. Phones are barely getting faster for us to upgrade each year.

@@StokesFamilyCO Yeah, unlucky. Usually electronics are pretty reliable, perhaps it's a software issue. I would wait for IOS 17 to see if that fixes your issue. If it doesn't, consider repair if you're serious about keeping your phone for a couple more years.

If an action button is inevitable, I would like to see a feature that compares to the back tap feature with multiple taps allows different shortcuts. Ex. Single tap, mute toggle. Double tap, camera. Triple tap, flashlight.

Biggest upgrade in years? The dynamic island on the 14 pro alone was a bigger upgrade than any of the things you mentioned. Bit of a stretch there
