I have 1000+ hours in SDV and when this came out in early access I got it and I'm over 300 hours in. It's like SDV without the need to sleep. And let me tell you about the eyeball I created by totally clearing the first three biomes... And it just kept getting better.
I don't know if you've discovered it yet, but there is a way to paint things, including chests, in the game. It's a crafting table and it can be lots of fun color-coding your world. :D
I bought this when it first came out! I had a lot of fun with it. I consider myself a "treasure hunter." I love looking for and finding things. I need to play this again with all the updates. Hardcore SDV fan here!
I played the early access version and they did have a fishing mini game. I think they removed it for 1.0. But I saw on twitter that they are working on an option where you can have the mini game if you want it.
Love this video and your review, I got this game in ea back in 2022 and I dropped over 50+ hours inside but I haven’t gotten back into it since. This and its 1.0 release has made me want to go back to play 🎉
Love your video. I played the early access. There was a minigame for fishing. But as far as I remember you can paint chests and as well your bed by building a specific table (but I haven't checked for it in the update, but i think I saw it as well.) Thank you for your revision. I haven't played the full version very much but I will definitely dig in more
Great review, thank you! Jair's portion of it really pushed me over the edge to go check this game out since I'm a huge Minecraft fan. It makes total sense when she said how it feels like Minecraft caves how we WANT them to be, full of mystery and all kinds of things to find. Thanks to you both!
Just found out if you have a torch in your inventory you can hold shift as youre holding any tool or item and youll auto pullout the torch. No nreed to have it in a hotkey or scroll to it when it gets dark. Incredible QOL in these type of games.
If you put chests next to your crafting tables, they will mostly pull from them. Also bosses drop bigger chests :) Btw, diagonal chest placement wont work.
Did you not unlock the warp points around the map? It takes a bit to find them and they’re only where they spawn on the map, but definitely a welcome tool.
bought the game today on steam for $15.00 played 1 hour 10 minutes, on Normal mode , seems like a good game, Never played Minecrarft or any game similiar but always wanted to play Minecraft Dungeons.
I like that the combat is easy at first, you click m1 to attack. Later on when you unlock the gate to the new regions, at least i started to use 2 weapons, one melee and one physical range (gun) switching between them as the situation fits. The enemies becomes more and more unique with their attack patterns and gimmics. The game is kind of a rpg game hidden in this sandbox game. And because i found out you can switch characters, you can spend like hundreds of hours designing a rpg world, with loot in chests and such, then switch character to a brand new one and play an action rpg. I remember that i saw a early acess letsplay series a year ago and quickly fell in love with the game, and when i found out it was out, i quickly bought it and now is pressuring my friends to get it as well.
Just found your channel today thank´s to Core Keeper, loved the review ,especially your super chill personality which definitely gives a good vibe and is easy to see and hear the review. Another subscriber without a doubt, and now to consume more of your content, top video, thank you.
The game has huge performance problems when your base gets bigger I recoment not buying the game you cannot even setup keybinds or lower graphics or animations for better performance on console I recoment play teraria it's way better performance no matter how many mobs you spawn or however you build it's never lagging
is that surprising? combining random things to see what you get is pretty fun. smelting isn't exactly analogous since you know exactly what you'll get and there's not really combining, is there?
Unfortunately the switch version is delayed to Sep 17 which makes me sad since that's my platform of choice, but I will definitely be picking it up then. I love that there's difficulty settings so it can be played as hard or easy as someone wants. I definitely want to play it like Stardew in caves haha.
What do you mean by "honest" review? Why would you make a un-honest review? Are you saying that everyone else is making un-honest reviews.. I'm confused here.. Is your other reviews not honest?
Super annoying bad game... you spend the huge majority of your time out hunting resources for literal HOURS just so you can get back to your base and 'upgrade' your weapons and armor except the only thing that really matters is dmg. The bosses are 1-2 shotting you even when you are TIERS ahead in gear. If you go out of range of the boss... too bad he despawns and if you are at the point of the game where you have to pay currency to summon the boss you have to get back grind money and hope that boss doesn't lick you or you are dead. Melee is USELESS in this game... you don't get to be in melee because the majority of the bosses kill you if they touch you. 1/5 learn to make games with interesting mechanics where the 'boss fight' isn't a matter 1-2 tapping you.
what. haha I just started playing and this hasn't been my experience at all. im melee. and I'm stomping the bosses. my first death was to this desert flying creature thing cause it surprise suicide exploded into me and I didn't expect it. 😆 the scaling and exploring has felt really great to me too.
I hate how entitled you are, you get a free game , which for a hell of a lot of people would be amazing, but you ask for another one, just spend 20 pound stop being cheap, ridiculous
FYI - It seems some of the console ports have been delayed til Sept 17th!
Are the last gen console ports that come September 17 entirely separate from the series s port.
Delayed again until Oct 31st 😢
It’s out now on switch! Playing it today :)
There used to be a fishing minigame, and the devs said they will be adding a toggle to give it back.
Oh.. I kinda have a love/hate relationship with it.
But I have to admit that.. I missed it a lot, more than ever lol
I picked up the game without the mini game. I'm curious what the mini game was. 😮

I used to remember back in early access that the Game's fishing game is very tedious and the devs made some adjustments

"I eventually figured it out, after punching a hole through the wall frat boy style" earned you a sub. Have a nice day
I bought this for my partner and I and we never go around to playing it. Time to give it a try finally!

I absolutely love Core Keeper, I'm addicted even, I just wish they had cross play. That's definitely something they should do in the future.

booty and cutie are wonderful names for your animals hahaha :D
LMAO THANKS
I played it a little in early access...it didn't really grab me. I'm looking forward to giving it another shot.
Looks like its on gamepass cloud, how do the difficulties work in coop?
The switch release is on September 17th btw
Oct 29th now.
Out 17th October, playing it right now on switch 😊
@Clarke2316 how does it run on the switch...load times, controls, crashes? I am so tired of getting games on the switch that just don't run well
Thanks for the review. Decided to install it 👍
thanks for the review! me and my friend been looking for a new game to play togetther. this looks perfect!
Cool review. Looking forward to playing this.
Thank you, fantastic review!
Good review, thanks much!
You found the cooking to be so much fun? So you found the smelting to be so much fun too? Drag item, let process, pick it up?

this game seems so interesting, i havent heard about it before. I'd love to see it on stream sometime!
TY ! It does look like fun.

oh no! D: i’ll definitely be playing on the switch when it’s out tho!
Oct 29th now.
@@Ghost2Most Unfortunately the devs say they don't know when it'll be ready so that seems to be the new placeholder date :(
It’s out today on switch, playing it now 😊
@@Clarke2316 Hey that's awesome, how is the performance so far?
Hi, are you planning new video about Sun Haven? There was a huge update which added kids and whole new region. And I love your opinions and summary.
