Yeah, I kind of miss it but it’s way more efficient without it, so I probably won’t be turning it back on anytime soon unless they increase the rewards with the minigame on.
most of these fishing minigames are not very rewarding and is a hassle, or at least they should add stuff than remove it the annoyance when you get more levels or gear
For drilling rigs, the lever is a cheaper power source. That lever basically replaces the generator for nearly all small scale automation like boulder drilling, wood farming, and pet incubation.
I can't remember when I've been so engrossed in a game. It's so cool and nice to play and I enjoy every time I turn it on and think about what I want to do next when i turn it off
It’s so awesome when a game can hook you like that! I felt the same way on my first playthrough - And I still feel that way on our fresh 1.0 playthrough.
For tip 4, you don't need a generator, a lever works just as well. Despite what it seems, the drills only need 2 units of power to work, a lever provides 12 units while a generator provides 27. The power units are mostly only relevant for powering distant appliances. Obviously, an electricity stick cannot power anything on its own as it only provides 1 unit of power. Great video by the way, as someone who's been playing since very early on in Early Access I kinda already knew all of these, but it definitely covers all the important topics for newer players.
Thanks, for the correction & the kind words! I really appreciate it. I feel like I learn a lot from comments such as yours. Excited to use this new knowledge in my 1.0 playthrough!
Being a Core Keeper player and play many many hours I approve your tips, and when I we couldnt upgrade our item before so it's a nice things they add this
Thanks! I’m glad to hear you agree! Yeah, I think that’s a really nice feature to have in the game. Gonna be really interesting to see all the new stuff that comes with 1.0.
The amber larva also has a 1.08% chance to drop from Ghorm the Devourer, which could be necessary to grind because the amber boulder isn’t guaranteed to spawn in every world.
You can break the teleport way points with enough mining power and take them with you, put them down like a rug and they charge up after a while, then you can teleport wherever
The one I wish I knew about earlier was creating your own fishing zones by taking water from each of the biomes and digging a hole and placing the water in the hole. Personal fishing zones. **edited to remove incorrect information**
This is a great one! Actually just been experimenting with it tonight after a comment on my other tips and tricks video suggested it, and it’s definitely something that I wish I would’ve done sooner. Also I can confirm that the blocks did not seem to be necessary. Makes a lot of sense to easily identify what type of water is which though!
@@LumiaFenelle-v5m I didn’t know what I was talking about when I wrote this lol, you don’t need to use soil from the same environment. Just dig a holes and put water from each biome (using a bucket) into them. You will be able to fish as if you were in that biome.
I love Terraria from all of my heart and for a very long time I was looking for something similiar. This game is absolutely banger. I do have some issues (like treverse from one point to another and I wish there would be some default minecard rails) but it hooked me a lot. I didn't know that pets will have random passives and that's something I will consider. Only tip I wish i knew is that cattles do not respawn. I realy had no idea that I should take care of the cows and especialy sheeps that give you wool for some crafts.
Agreed! Some longer default rails would be great! Yeah, the cattle is a good point! Someone recently commented on another of my videos suggesting just storing a couple of each in the cattle boxes in a chest to keep them safe during remodelling and stuff.
This game is great for content creators. It's still in development and is already enjoyable, so people will stick to your channel to get updated on the changes. And also because the wiki isn't very good
You don't need floors for the vendors, just a big enough room, a bed and their respective items. I put torches for good measure but normally it's not needed
btw, the big mushroom, is not a one time tikket. every meal that gets cooked and eaten for the first time with the big mushroom as an ingredient adds further max hp if cooked for the first time, you'll get 2 meals, so you can take one for a friend of for an other charackter. an other tip but i don't know if its a spoiler, cause nobody on youtube tells you that,... you can pick up mob spawners from arenas and use the little figurines in order to spawn them via a generator, so you can set up your own pokemon battles XD
Not sure if I'm misunderstanding what you mean, but as far as I can tell, consuming the giant mushroom only increases max health permanently once whether it's consumed by itself or in a cooked meal. It used to be useable repeatedly which led to people having a TON of health. I really like the little mobspawners and I don't consider them a spoiler. It was definitely something that took me a LONG time to realized you could do though, so I think it's a pretty good tip - I did actually talk about them in one of my later videos :)
@@RascallyRasmusyou got me right, big mushroom number 1 uncooked gives 25 hp, all additional big mushrooms cooked with an other ingredient increase max hp additionally, but with a smaller number. like only ten or 15 hp. my hp bonusless mage sitts on 1117 hp and his healthpercentage magic barrier absorbs a jelliefish throughn by a krakenarm without cracking. still have arround 20 dishes to cook but it already feels like i unlocked godmode xD it realy confused me that the cooked dishes increased the hp for less, so i double and tripple checked before i started throughing the excess stuff into a chest for my friend the worst thing is, before i realized that i throug away like ten big mushrooms cause i thought i wouldn't need them anymore.
I was unable to get it to work yesterday, but will have to try to experiment some more because that sounds awesome! I did notice the max health number on the food items being lower than 25 though, but it was still greyed out and didn't change my actual max hp. Might have to give it a try on a completely fresh character to see if it's something with my existing character.
@@RascallyRasmus an other explanation could be modrelated shinanigans... auto plant comes into mind, maybe games behave different when mods mess arround with them too mutch. i could capture a video to prove my point, but i realy have better stuff to do before christmas, including an operation tomorrow, wich will cause me eating through a straw for at least a month xD tomorrow at this time, ill be in artificial coma, wish me luck .
No need for a video haha. I believe you! Just very interested in figuring out how it works. Good point with mods. That could definitely be an explanation too. But that’s what testing is for. Best of luck, seriously! I really hope everything goes smoothly! Let me know when you’re back out on the other side so I can congratulate you on a successful operation. I'm probably an idiot, but I didn't realize that you can actually sell items to any merchants until I was about mid game. Later on when you have a lot of metal bars, you don't really need to keep miscellaneous items, but if you want to start upgrading your stuff asap, you'll need a lot of Ancient Coins. So if you find any miscellaneous items that have the word "Valuable" on it, DON'T SELL IT. I was under the assumption that these things were worthless, turned out I can sell them for pretty good Ancient Coins.
Very good point! I think it took us a while to realize too on our first play through, but we had at least saved all the items marked as valuable. They just took up a ton of storage space instead haha.
I'm new to the game, and have explored right up to where the cavelings dwell. I've accidentally allowed one in my base, it killed one of my cows, and i was able to kill it with some difficulty. I am not sure what constitutes being ready to head into their biome(I'm guessing that is the clay biome) they seem to be rather aggressive and deal some significant damage.
I think it’s mostly something you have to feel out for yourself. As soon as you can it’s certainly worth venturing in and trying to get some iron ore while trying to avoid too much combat. And then craft some iron armor and possibly weapons to help you handle the enemies more easily.
That's awesome! I really ought to experiment more with different pets. It's just so hard giving up my movement speed haha. Which of the slime pets are you using?
