Two things, one: I think it's important to note that a lot of the Christian imagery and references aren't trying to be deep or particularly meaningful, rather, in Japan, Christianity is typically regarded as much less, for lack of a better word, sacred, and Japanese popular culture often uses Christian names and images in the same way we might use ones from classical Greek myth. Well, except the German comic. I think that's just cause Germany is weird.
Two: The Mario and Luigi are gay bit is kind of stretch to include in an episode based around religious connections.

+EmperorArcana To be fair, they're spelled pretty similarly. That, and the fact that old names like those tend to have "unusual" pronunciations, so saying one over another isn't very uncommon.

The reason Luigi and Wario don't say "oh my God" wouldn't be to avoid referencing Christianity. It would be to avoid insulting Christians - "oh my God" is using God's name in vain, which goes against Commandment #3 of the Ten Commandments. Given Christianity's larger role in America at the time Mario Party was released, they would not have ported it to America removing God's name to avoid insulting atheists (something that's only become a problem in the last two or three years), but to avoid insulting Christians by their improper usage of His name.
So basicly you said same thing as you did at the very top... Cause I'm void insulting them also means to avoid reference them as well...

The River Styx reference from Greek Mythology.
Mario paying the boatman in the game some gold coins to grant passage across the river and to the Underwhere is similar how in the myth, people pay the Boat's Ferry man Charon to pass the Acheron River.
And the creepy hands in the River is a reference to the dying, wrathful souls drowning in the Acheron River.
Man, and here I thought Nintendo would not think again of adding Religious content after that time in Ocarina of Time.

Most pantheistic religions have an underworld afterlife, Hell is just the Norse version of Tartarus. This makes sense considering that most cultures bury their dead.
Jesus however, preached against ending up in Gehenna, which was an actual place where children were sacrificed in fire.
1) Old biblical texts state quite clearly that fallen sons of God were cast on earth, all hellish descriptions in bible refere simply to destructio in day of jugment, when idea of "shaol" always refered more to something like limbo.
2) In Greek mythology there were several places in underwolrd from Elisium fild whih were like paradise to places of eternal punishment known as Tartar. Also Baldur and his guests were only who survive Ragnarick, so nordic religion was less barbaric then most people think.

I played Mario Party for the first time yesterday, I was astonished to find how many parallelisms and similarities the entire game holds to the idea of journeying through the Bardos in Tibetan Buddhism.

Elohim, for those of you who are not aware, is the National/Familial God of the Hebrew People. This means that He was a god of a particular tribe/family (those who are descendants of Abraham).
He has a very interesting relationship to both the Hebrews and other tribes.
While He is the Hebrew deity, He's often integrated by the Canaanites into their Parthenon as the god of war since war and military prowess is often associated with Him. He leads an Heavenly Host (host is an archaic term for army), rides a chariot, is associated with mountains, volcanoes (from the southern western parts of Saudi Arabia), and clouds.
