I was happy to hear that Los Straitjackets were in your regular rotation Steve. I have been buying their stuff on release week since they started. I have some pretty nice gems. Supersonic Guitars in 3-D is still my fave. Sing Along With is good too. They are all good. You showed some dandies too. That box set is sweet~ Rob/Boston
As much as I like Los Straitjackets, I don't have any of their albums. I have them on streaming playlists, but that about it. I need to grab some of their stuff because I like it all.
It's crazy how bad the cover artwork from some 90's/early 2000s releases look when stretched to vinyl size. You can definitely see the grain/pixels. That Nekromantix album looks cool. I used to listen to them a lot but never got them on vinyl or CD. I do have some records from the Horrorpops which has Kim Nekroman from Nekromantix.
It's funny you mention Horrorpops, they have always been a favorite of mine. I wish they would tour the east coast. They were supposed to a few years ago, but the pandemic cancelled that. As far as the Nekromantix, I love their first 4 albums, after that they pretty much lost me. They have a number of songs from their later albums, I like, the albums were just not as good. I actually think that Kim meeting Patricia is what started to hurt the Nekromantix.. I think that his best material was going to Horrorpops from that point on, but I'm just guessing.
Thanks, I thought about writing back in the 90s, and I have done reviews over the years, but at this point in my life it would be hard. It's hard to get steady videos done most of the time. It would have been a great route to go the I was younger though.
