Thank you! Hope you enjoy your visit. If you've got time, try and squeeze in Kifune castle on your journey between the 2 areas where the hells are - it's such a cute little castle and you can explore it all by yourself
Don't forget to check out Kifune Castle as well (if you have time)! It's very easy to get to, has amazing views of Beppu, and is located inbetween the 2 areas where the hells are! Plus its only 300 yen entry
thanks! @@wegoeast Can you explain how entry to these hells work? Do you pay one entrance fee and see them all or do you travel to individual hells and pay separately?
Awww, I sense and feel the sadness about the oniiyama hell ( crocodile ) myself too. I think I’ll skip that too. Although, I don’t like crocodiles but I think their situation there is quite sad. Thanks for sharing .
Super nice content guys! I love you honesty about how your feeling about a particular place!! Nice to see that it’s overall extremely positive, my partner and I will visit beppu for 1 day from Fukuoka with our JR pass although I fear it’s not enough. qq; do you feel like filming all of this content is something that gives more energy, reflection and enjoyment out of your travelling or do you wish sometimes you could just put down the camera to truly enjoy a space with each-other? Cheers! Thanks for the amazing content and I’m sure you’ll be looking back on this footage fondly in 10/30 years time.
Hello - Were you on holiday or was this shot months beforehand? I have not visited Beppu, but it was pleasant to see it through your eyes. I am surprised that the crocodiles were piled together in the manner you described knowing that Japan has reverence to many animals in nature. I must say though, crocs if not competing for food seem to socially congregate in the wild. Are these crocs native to that area surviving in the mix of onsen and fresh water? Are they breeding them and then releasing them in a more natural setting? Great job to the both of you! Cheers.
@@degozaru340 Apologies, I thought you were distraught seeing them in that contained setting. I am confused then. What were you upset about since you mention that they are revered and treasured? Also, processed shark meat must be more common in remote fishing villages or towns? I think the Chinese are more known with shark consumption (shark fin soup and other medicinals).
Just foot spas at the Hells / Jigoku I'm afraid! If you want to go Swimming, look up the "aqua garden" in Beppu, it's the biggest & best place to swim and it has ana amazing view!
So there are busses you can take: 16, 16Aリ, 29 But the busses are very infrequent and will add a load of time to your journey. I'd highly recommend renting a car if possible as you're not bound by timetables and can nip between places very quickly. Beppu is surprisingly big and public transport will add hours of journey time to your days!
If you're renting a car then yes, but it will be a bit tight, especially if you go on a weekend as it'll be much busier! Don't forget to add a stop at Kifune Castle, if you have time!
We spent one morning visiting the Hells and finished up by having lunch at Jigoku Mushi - a lunch hall where you can cook your own food using the onsen steam. Theyre split into 2 groups, the chinoike & tatsumaki hells are about a 20 min walk away from the remaining hells (or a few minutes by car). I'd also recommend visiting the Kifune Castle which is sort of on the way between the two groups of Hells
The video editing is amazing 😂😂😂
very informative video on the Hells. was looking for something exactly like this to help plan my day. love the commentary~

@@wegoeast will do~
thanks for the video 🙂
Love the work! Who’s the camera man? That guy deserves a beer.
Good cameraman (or woman)
Few more and we'll consider one
Really? I thought camera work was particularly shite 🌚
Beautifully filmed. You've convinced me to do the tour, thank you!

That was a fun watch
Thank you, It was a fun day out!
Great stuff, yet again
Thank you! It was great fun to make

Hi! There is any place for swimming or just foot bath?😢

How far are each hells from each other? Is there a bus that takes you to each place? Thank you !

is 4 hours enough time to see the onsen hells?
If you're renting a car then yes, but it will be a bit tight, especially if you go on a weekend as it'll be much busier! Don't forget to add a stop at Kifune Castle, if you have time!
how long did it take you to visit all 7 hells? and are they all in the same place that you can walk from one to another?

If you had to choose only three hells, which one would you choose?
It would have to be the first 3! They will give you a great range of the various types and they are by far the most impressive
steamy content
