🐒You can check if the monkeys are in the park with the live camera on the official website (en.jigokudani-yaenkoen.co.jp/)
🐒Winter in Nagano is very cold
🐒8:23 This is a doll monkey for monkey repellent
🐒I was moved by bathing with wild monkeys!
🐒There was a Nintendo Entertainment System in the TV room, but I didn't know how to use it
🐒There are people who can speak English almost everywhere, whether it's at a station, a bus, a park, or a ryokan

I visited this park in 2009, I can't believe you actually are brave enough to set foot in the same bathe as the monkeys. There were about 10 fellow visitors during my time, all of us thought it would be crazy to get into the pools with the monkeys given their tribal fighting between each other. Not only that, I doubt an emphasis in hygiene is catered there per the wild monkeys. . .

LOL I love the monkey in the Ryokan's bath looking like "'What's up!", like they're so used to people being there and are fine with it as long as you leave them be. 😁 Just beautiful with the snow. I'm in the USA in Pennsylvania and although we normally get a lot of snow this time of year, it's wet and gross right now.

I’m Japanese and I’d never heard of this place before until we found your video. My husband has always wanted to go see them, so we stayed there last week. Even in the same room :) It was full of their poop (eew), but we were in awe. Definitely once in a lifetime trip. Thanks to you guys! We always enjoy your videos. Love from Canada.
Edit to add: for those saying the monkey pee/poo or whatnot… you’re right. It was simply gross. But the owner of the place empties and cleans the entire tub at 8am every day, and they test the water to make sure there’s no unsafe diseases. You can wash your body with soap right away once you go inside as well. Again, it was absolutely disgusting bathing in their pee and poo, but here I am well and alive. It was something I would do once in my entire life. And I’m glad that I did!

So beautiful, even in Canada I have not seen such landscape!!! I wish we had hot spring here...the food looks so good too and I also LOVE peaches! The peaches are amazing in the late summer here. I think that people should know about country problems, but saying everywhere "(Insert country name) isn't that good as you think" must be stopped imo, cause only kids idealize anything. And also, my country is way more worse that Japan because of criminals. I just want to move out of it.

Thank you for giving amazing content every time. I really enjoy when you go to special traditional places, especially when they are more hidden for Europeans like me. And to answer your question, I’m from Switzerland and I love the snow, so I was happy to see you enjoy it as well

This is such a beautiful experience! The whole place is very serene. Do the monkeys ever come up to anyone in the hot springs, or do they tend to keep their distance from humans? I've been fascinated with Japanese snow monkeys for a while now and would love to be able to stay at a ryokan like this! I'll have to see if I can go when I visit Japan.
