  • @hassansheikh9369

    OCD, is based on doubt(waswassa or whisper of Shaitan), so in almost every aspect of your life you have doubt that if I don't do this or that then something terrible will happen to my loved ones or even yourself like for for example if I don't touch the keys of my car again and again then my car may have horrible accident or this bad thing may happen to my parents or children etc.etc. so to satisfy your self(infact satisfy your doubt or waswasa) you perfom something unnatural or strange things, same happens in your wuzu, ghusal or salat, infact you allow doubts and open doors for it to come and join you, i would suggest do let them come(these waswaas and intrusive thoughts) but don't pay attention to them like oxygen, light ,mild dust coming and entering your room but you don't pay attention to them just ignore them and do the rightfull thing and pay attention to only Allah's mercy and have strong believe that Allah is the most merciful, I hope and think,that, Allah will forgive you and not punish you, for what that is not possible for you or out of your control.
    Islamic fiqh doesn't allow you to pay attention to doubts, it says certainty can not be overcome by doubt, either yes or no , so middle way of if, but, may be. This "may be" is doubt and not allowed. So please learn the wadu, ghusal and Namaz, and perform as you are directed by Allamas, and don't put yourself in doubts. Also follow Assim Al hakeem on TH-cam, for OCD and Islam, he is a wahabi scholar and his research and solution about OCD in Islam is remarkable.
    And please remember rubbing face, arms and feet etc in ghusal or wuzu is not complusry, throwing water on your body or arms etc is enough, for your satisfaction you can politely caress your body or parts.

And constantly there is conflict that if I say it correctly or not, even now I doubt if I doing sin or not to tell these things. And also repeatedly offering salam hearing Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon Him) or just remembering our Prophet I repeatedly saying Peace be upon Him. I Don't what should I do or not to do.

      Slm. I feel the exact same way. What helped me was : dry to dry surfaces - Najis cannot be transmitted. For example: Even if a baby’s urine dried on a surface, if you sit on that Najis cannot be transmitted to you. Another thing that helped with water : if when the water leaves the surface of another object (if it’s clear and odourless) it is not najis if it splashes back at you.

    No hatred but it is the work of a psychologist or a psychiatrist to talk about the treatment of OCD. This man is just discussing literally only one symptom of OCD. OCD is way more than this and it is not in one's control to stop performing compulsions and there's a science behind it. Your Serotonin levels are also low if you've OCD.

    I preformed istinja after using the bathroom and began preforming wudu for Asr. When I sat down to clean my feet, I felt a warm sensation almost like I was peeing a little or wadi came out, I did not dry my privates after istinjal, so I pretty much ignored it and disregard it as something else...
    later, I prayed both magrib and isha in the same clothes because by then I forgot and didn’t know. I didn’t know that wadi was impure at the time and I also did not smell pee at all either.
    Are my prayers invalidated and do I need to repeat them? Can I continue my daily prayer schedule if I fail to do so?

      @saeedf2690 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ghusul is the process of reaching water to the rest of your body. And the Sunnah (what the profet used to do *I think*) is to have the intention of doing ghusul, then clean your private part, then say bismillah then do wodou then wash your hair, and then your right side of your body and then your left side of your body then wash your feet then that's it (PS. the profet peace be upon him used to do all that with almost 3 litters of water)...both ways are correct. Either go rinse water to your body or to do the sunnah.

      It can definitely be cured. Or at least taken under your control.

      Ocd is something that can be treated and can go away and it can depend on different factors for different people. Please ask for help from someone you can trust and/or a professional who takes the time to understand.

      U should consult a psychologist or psychiatrist.... Better is to consult a psychologist and he will treat u by giving u the Cognitive behavioural therapy (speach therapy)

      In Islam, impurity works on the principle of 100% surety. Until and unless you are 100% sure (Yaqeen) or on a logical ground almost sure (Itmenaan) of your under nails being Najis, then only they are Najis.
      Also, persistent thoughts may even make you Frequent Doubter (Tatheer As-Shaq). Consult your local scholar or jurist for it.

      Keep nails short. Under normal circumstances, nails get auto clean while cleaning hand. No extra effort.

      @@sayyednomanali2046 the answer is in front of you. It is to do with your brain now. As we mentioned, nothing is Najis until you are 100% sure of its najasat. The good way that some scholars say for this 100% is: can you swear to Allah that a particular thing is Najis? If not then push your mind to move forward with it. Listen to this from the same series
