I carry a taser and a pepper spray here in CA. Depending on the circumstances, my usual first option is using the pepper spray depending on the distance and if there are multiple assailants, which has given me time to escape or have extra help from my Co-workers. Unfortunately I can’t have a firearm in my work environment so we are only left with non-lethal tools. I have used a taser on a knife assailant one time and had help from multiple workers to disarm and restrain the individual until cops arrived. Love the use of pepper spray in this video.
Could you imagine that here in Australia we aren't even allowed to carry any form of pepper spray. Australia where crooks have more rights than the victims.

Only afterwards did I realize that I was not paying ANY attention to other possible cars and could've gotten killed. I got lucky. You're no use to others if you're dead.
I LOVE how people who get sprayed instantly grab their eyes.. Dude was holding a knife, how amazing would it have been had he stabbed himself in the face instantly after getting sprayed.
The chances are pretty low. Generally if you use a weapon like a knife you have already a certain sense to prevent you from hurting your own body. It would make no sense at all.
I respect your guys opinions but my sister's worked in an ER for over 14 years now and it happens more than you'd think; Accidental self inflicted face trauma, whether it's with a knife, a handgun, or other semi sharp objects aren't that uncommon. She's had a 40 something year old woodworker accidentally stab himself in the eye with a screwdriver just last month because something non threatening fell on the back of his head and he reacted by going to grab and protect his head/face.. Couple months ago she was treating someone who shot themselves in the face with their own .38 pistol at the range on accident because he went to put his ear protection on correctly after his first shot downrange rattled his ears.. One phone call to her and I could go on and on with more instances.. It happens.

It's outrageous that even OC spray is banned in the UK. It actually classes as an illegal firearm! Here in Spain, I keep OC spray in my car in case of road rage incidents, though they are rare. I recommend carrying a hard walking stick in the UK. A stick has a fair chance against a knife.
While your politicians want a nuclear war with Russia, at the same time they leave you defenseless against the waves of immigrants who are robbing, killing and raping you is pure madness, or maybe that's what you want?

@@spaghetti2777 Not in the least. Pepper spray only causes pain, loss of vision, and the feeling of suffocating. Drug users often can withstand the pain and those that have been exposed enough on occasion gain a level of resistance if they can just prepare beforehand. Those trained in use of the spray is often trained in how to mitigate the effects by blocking one eye so they can keep fighting if some one has a can stolen and it is used on the users. Also keep in mind bears are exceptionally sensitive to smell. I've heard that bear spray is actually less effective against human targets than regular OC. Another thing to take into account is the age of the spray and the form of the spray. Foam spray is often used in medical and food facilities due to being easier to not contaminate the environment but is far less effective as it needs a direct hit and can be thrown back at the user. I have extensive history with the stuff. Also it makes a passable hot sauce, but tastes very cheap.

Your position may be correct for most daily encounters. But you fail to realize the intended victim is a protester of a minority position in the area. He is putting himself in a hostile position to do what he feels is right. There’s no real way to avoid angry people in his face unless he stops protesting. Which he clearly doesn’t intend to do. He has also equipped himself with tools to help him deal with aggressors. Which he did very well. So I’d say the intended victim played his hand perfectly.

@@bensmith7857 In answer to your question... (1) Circumcision is destructive. The foreskin is functional erogenous tissue that most people value. It constitutes up to half the skin on the penis and contains the most touch-sensitive parts of the penis. (2) Circumcision is extremely painful. When done without proper anesthetic (as was usually the case in the 20th century and is still often the case) it is a form of torture. Early childhood trauma can have serious consequences. (3) Circumcision is risky. There are many potential complications, including penile amputation and death. Some men live with serious permanent damage caused by bad circumcisions. (4) Circumcision is unnecessary. The vast majority of boys and men will never require or desire to be circumcised. (5) Circumcision of children is unethical. I cannot legally carry my pocket folder here, I was stopped and questioned for my Gerber multitool in a open case on my hip. @@spaghetti2777 Not in the least. Pepper spray only causes pain, loss of vision, and the feeling of suffocating. Drug users often can withstand the pain and those that have been exposed enough on occasion gain a level of resistance if they can just prepare beforehand.

Infants and children cannot give meaningful consent to having part of their genitals cut off.
(6) Circumcision is sexist. If we did anything to a little girl's genitals with a knife then most people would be horrified.
