I think systems of philosophy and epistemology should be taught in schools.. but then people will think for themselves .. and that is too risky for the powerful men of the world.

Huuu. U must be knowing, in the schools of West, anti Hindu and Sanatan Dharma is being taught, so as to destroy Hindu and Sanatan Civilization, the longest living civilization n safeguarding the core knowledge of it...though the ups and downs of time and various invasion and invaders hands n still trying to save n maintain it dignity which has been tried to distored by the most Western and even Eastern, little knowledge n understanding authors, who has no clue of Sanskrit, written in brahmic, vedic and Devanagari. Here what u r seeing is a little glimpse it. Hope u know the global agenda of destroying Sanatan.

And here we at last arrive at the pinnacle of the information age. That this ancient knowledge has been transferred into our awareness for virtually no cost makes us realize the good that can come from technology and the internet. It's easy to get lost in a computer and all it can show us but if we can learn things like this it is all worth it.
    Read Drg-Drysa-Viveka.

    • @sebastianm8028

      Absolutely.
"Fire, by itself, is neither good nor evil. When it keeps us warm we say, "How beautiful is fire!" When it burns our fingers, we blame it. Still, in itself it is neither good nor bad. According as we use it, it produces in us the feeling of good or bad; so also is this world. It is perfect. By perfection is meant that it is perfectly fitted to meet its ends. We may all be perfectly sure that it will go on beautifully well without us, and we need not bother our heads wishing to help it." -Swamiji in Karma Yoga
And the internet is neither good nor evil. Depending on what parts of it you come in contact with, it can lead you to degrade, or lift you up.

Swamiji..the way you explain is just ♥️
There is no object called flower in your experience, all you are experiencing is yellow colour and shape.
No Object called flower apart from Colour and Shape.
No Colour and Shape apart from seeing.
No seeing apart from awareness 🤔
I am that awareness in which seeing happens 🤔
Before the seeing or hearing, awareness was there...during the seeing and hearing awareness is there,....after the end of seeing or hearing, awareness is still there...awareness never arise or disappears, it is always there..
Mind or Individual Ego appears and disappears, but the " Awareness " is always there...
No Objective Universe Apart from Experience.
    No Experience Apart from Awareness.
Experience Alone is the Brahman 🤔
    Neither Experiencer nor Experienced.
IN THE AWARENESS, subject and object appear.
Mind as a subject and external world as object.
    अहम् ब्रम्हास्मी ! तत्त्वमसि

NAMASTE. That which I am is so subtle. It’s so fleeting. I understood because of you breaking it up. Amazing. That thou art. I have NO words to say how you have enlightened me. I am amazed how simple it all is. Why do we find it so hard. Amazing. No wonder we are so vulgar and violent. Unfortunate. May god bless you and may you be a beacon of light. Amen. Love you. NAMASTE.

The video is a discourse on non-dual meditation by Swami Sarvapriyananda. He explains the concept of Advaita Vedanta, which posits that the ultimate reality is awareness or consciousness, and everything else is an appearance within it. He guides the audience through two exercises, focusing on the perception of a flower and a sound, to illustrate that objects are nothing apart from our experience of them, and our experience is nothing apart from awareness. He emphasizes that this awareness is limitless, all-inclusive, and the true nature of the self.
    Timestamps:
    01:21 Introduction to Non-dual Meditation
01:21 Question about the difficulty of experiencing ultimate reality despite its omnipresence.
02:33 Advaita Vedanta's perspective on the availability of ultimate reality and the role of ignorance and superimposition.
04:35 Analogy of ten people crossing a river to illustrate the hidden nature of the subject (awareness).
    06:10 Exercise 1: Flower Perception
06:10 Instructions to focus on experience and treat the discourse as a pointing.
10:11 Observing the flower and questioning the existence of a separate object apart from color and shape.
12:04 Realization that there is no object called flower in experience, only color and shape.
12:54 Understanding that color and shape are dependent on seeing, and seeing is dependent on awareness.
    20:19 Exercise 2: Sound Perception
20:19 Shifting focus to sound and questioning the existence of a separate object apart from the sound heard.
20:54 Listening to a sound and realizing that there is no object called sound, only the experience of sound.
22:01 Understanding that sound is dependent on hearing, and hearing is dependent on awareness.
23:37 Synthesis: Awareness as the Common Ground
23:37 Recognizing the distinction between flower and sound, seeing and hearing, but the unity of awareness.
24:14 Affirming that the self is the awareness in which seeing and hearing arise.
25:57 Observing the impermanence of sound and hearing, but the permanence of awareness.
27:48 Expanding the Scope of Awareness
27:48 Recognizing that all experiences, including tasting, smelling, touching, thinking, are within awareness.
28:29 Understanding that the entire universe of experience is nothing other than awareness.
29:38 Emphasizing the limitless nature of awareness, encompassing all beings, events, and objects.
    32:49 Implications of Realizing Awareness
32:49 Addressing the concern that realizing awareness leads to disregard for the world.
37:01 Explaining that realizing awareness leads to inclusivity and unconditional love.
38:09 Emphasizing the immortality and freedom of awareness, unaffected by old age, disease, or death.
    40:55 The Nature of Practice
40:55 Distinguishing the approach of reducing the universe to awareness from the traditional method of negating what the self is not.
44:56 Highlighting the importance of recognizing the universe as an appearance within awareness to avoid alienation.
47:54 Encouraging the integration of both approaches to understand Advaita Vedanta experientially.
51:08 Living as an Awakened Being
51:08 Emphasizing that realizing awareness is not a practice but a recognition of an ever-existing reality.
51:33 Describing the state of Jivanmukti, living as a liberated being while still embodied.
53:17 Acknowledging the possibility of a permanent shift in perspective where awareness becomes the natural state.
    56:55 Q&A Session
57:14 Addressing questions from the audience on various aspects of Advaita Vedanta, including the nature of experience, the role of samsara, the relationship between awareness and knowledge, the implications for morality and ethics, the motivation for action after realizing awareness, and the transition between absolute and transactional realities.
This session with Swami Sarvapriyananda offers profound insights into non-dual meditation and Advaita Vedanta. 🌼🕉

I love the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding Swami Sarvapriyananda's lecture provide. It is interesting that he associates experience with vision. I am assuming that he is a visual person. Sight, Hearing, Tasting, Touching, Smelling. I do know that a dog sees in a different spectrum and hears in a different spectrum than humans.

Vision was taken as the simplest and most obvious sense to start with by the ancients. The basic texts refer to the See-er and the Seen.
Suspect he just follows traditional examples for ease of understanding.

55:36 feel that silence from Swami and the key message that comes after it. "Try to do one thing. I am awareness and everything is an appearance in me. The moment you give physical reality to the world outside, I repeat, the moment you give physical reality to the external world outside, you immediately will be the body, the body will also become real, and awareness will become embodied, a feature of this body"

I have seen the same videos of Swamiji many times and always I find something new in them. Today I got shocked by the fact of the relationship between the reality we give to matter and our moral and Ethic behavior. The more we believe that we are an individual encapsulated in this body mind the more selfish we will behave The more we feel that we are this bast emptiness of pure consciousness the more unselfish we behave. Thank you swamiji for being this lamp of pure light in this turbulent world. God Bless You

Ah, Swami, again turning to you brings harmony and great ease. Thank you, thank you!
Friends, isn't it so that all can rejoice in Swami'ji's blessedly open-hearted offerings, each of which he so astutely and fluidly targets to help us to shake off the burdens of blinding egotism, the distortions of conventional thinking and behavior? For just that, this talk is as clear and helpful as any I've ever seen/heard. And yet here, he seems also, to me, to unhestitatingly affirm (I may be wrong and misunderstand) an anti-materialism that is untenable in monism. The talk exposes, I am troubled to be recognizing, advaita vedanta's tacit, anti-materialist invitation--if not imperative--to abandon delight in the glories of the natural world, as well as in the world's achievements--largely sense-derived-- in music and the arts and in scientific knowledge. That is troubling--for surely the divine is omni-present--in the flower, the pebble, the bell, the enemy, the jar, the war. Swami cites Kashmir Shaivism's Abhinava more and more often, but mistrust of the Kashmiri Shaivist view that the "awareness" or consciousness that we divinely share, generate, participate in is truly ubiquitous(so Somananda says that the jar knows as I know, witnessing the jar) may still, perhaps, be tied to ancient brahmin fear of tantrism. The 17th Century Puritans taught that "the Creatures'--the senses and their comforts--were to be mistrusted, and greed and vanity have endless appetites, but appreciated reverently, isn't it all holy rather than tempting, captivating, distorting?
Would be grateful to hear of any insights anyone has on this.

      @rsr9200 3 ปีที่แล้ว

As a Vedantin, I would like to chime in with a different perspective than yours as I understand it. A non-dual being cannot logically be “anti” or “pro” anything or anyone since that would require something or someone apart from the non-dual being which cannot be. As I see it, Advaita Vedanta tell us that enjoyment and appreciation of this bounteous world as the ego is not impervious to suffering, but enjoyment of the same as a non-dual being is undeniably so.

    • @michellevonkoch5570

@@rsr9200 That is helpful. Thank you. Tricky business, assessing the adequecy of the logical and keeping in mind its difference from the experiential or spiritual. Seems this is so much a matter of language, terms, and even adaptability of metaphor.
The lovely 'turn' in what you offer, as I understand it, is that because "I am that" ultimately, the historical/person this body carries suffers and rejoices because delimited in time and space, but the atman in us rejoices in the world because fully at one in a fluidity ("all made of light," as Swami offers here) in which the perspective of time and place falls away. Here KS and V are in accord, I think.
My guess is that, in the logic of "Only Brahman/Shiva is real." the V is more likely to end up saying that behind the appearances Maya provides, the world as we know it does not exist, while the KS a bit more reliably asserts that it's Shiva, Shiva, Shiva, top to bottom and as far beyond as we might glimpse. The creation story in KS and its highly articulated ontology are a help, but even Abhinava and the other 10th c luminaries in the tradition falter, fall into desanctifying the material world.
Having spoken little of these matters, it's unlikely that I've been at all clear here, but sitting with these matters and really reflecting is always good. And clarity often grows with trying to spell things out. Thanks again.

@@michellevonkoch5570 I share your sentiments that KS and V are not that far apart. So, while KS asserts “it's Shiva, Shiva, Shiva, top to bottom and as far beyond as we might glimpse”, V would assert “it's Ishvara, Ishvara, Ishvara, top to bottom and as far beyond as we might glimpse”. What V further adds is that non-dual being is the ultimate reality of Shiva/Ishvara and non-dual being is what you are.

Beautifully explained by Swamiji what we really are. Out of millions of creations on this earth only humans are endowed with real understanding of the "SELF". Shed "Dhehaabhimaana " and realise we are the" INFINITE or BRAHMAN". Says Swamiji very clearly. I Don't think so simple and lucid explanation anybody else could give.Thank You Thank you so much Swamiji.🙏NASHTO MOHAHA SMRITHIR LABHDHVAA....

Public comments. It is always reality. I am not the physical body but the eternal soul. Pure awareness. One of the greatest gift is knowledge and inspiration to discriminate right from wrong. One is face with his enemy is lust greed and anger false pride and attachment and jealousy. Don't allow them to control your mind. Using the inner ability to control your taught and action base on how you preceive life journey begins with you the devotees of god creation. Meditation and yoga and prayers every day allowing you to achieve success in words taught or deeds weather physical mental or emotional self realisation is the key to success. Pure taught and pure action. Giving thanks to almighty God.

In the awareness, appearances come and go but the experience continues...you experienced the flower and now you are experiencing absence of flower, you experienced sound and now you the awareness, experiencing absence of sound..." Separate Identity as Me, appears and disappears in me the awareness.🤔
    EXPERIENCE ONLY IS THE BRAHMAN.
