So there were rumors of Marty and Moog buying a MR2 SW20 and Alan and Woody are in Sydney in a MR2 they borrow from a friend.... its also pretty fucked so that makes me think it is even more likely to have something to do with Marty or Moog
Thumbs up for hearing from someone so knowledgeable keen to learn about something new from other experts.. everyone should be looking to do the same! Meanwhile, who else needs a soda blaster in their garage?
Thanks for coming through and spending a few hours with us, was nice meeting you both. Hope the upgraded pump treats you well. And good thing the pump got there okay, made sure I packed it up real good for ya.
Weird thing is that I have no interest in doing this kind of thing myself but I can't stop watching these vids. Al has a wonderful way of explaining how things work and how everything is connected together, not in a workshop manual type of way but in a real life, real time way that is compelling, informative and authentic. Woody has done an awesome job sniping everything together so that it flows and tells part of the story every episode. How often have I watched something for 20 minutes and got fuck all at the end. Every episode Woody manages to cement part of the journey into place ready for the next one. Well done to both of you and thank you for taking me along for the ride. Can't wait for the next one.
Al, you remind me of a TV show character called Gibbs from NCIS with your list of rules! I love the way you guys present the show and approach car repair. Most people want to replace everything with shiny and new. But your willingness to use factory parts makes upgrading less financially daunting and way more realistic for the average Joe. Oh and the lack of bullshit and talking for the sake of talking is awesome sauce! Woody the way you ask questions is beyond fantastic. Thanks guys!
Hope your finger heals quick, mate. Thanks for shooting videos for us while disabled. Awesome to show us a bit of the fuel pump. I had no idea. Great videos, so relaxing and interesting without all of these wild and whacky music, effects and shouting. Just pure car love. Nice video shots as well. Just, beautiful
I have to say Al is one of the nicest and "realest" (hope you know what i mean) people I see on yt. Your show is just awesome and keeps getting better and better. Thank you sooo much for this show. sometime I will go to australia and I will visit you workshop.
Those guys certainly got their act together! Was really confidence inspiring to see their set up and obvious passion for their subject. Guess I know where next faulty pump is going!
I'm gonna go ahead and say that unnamed 90s JDM coupe is a Toyota MR2. I love those things! (Im commenting only after the first minute of the video of them driving around)
So then, it's Marty's? I think they mentioned a future project in the Unicorn Circuit at Supercheap, a mysterious car that fans quickly figured out was an MR2, purely because of Moog's hoon story that he told before and explicitly said in that previous telling that it was an MR2.
LaPavoniMac sounds awesome! I have recently been watching a build series on Tavarish's channel where he builds an MR2 NA and puts turbo parts in it, recognized it immediately!
When Al was waiting by the mail box and he went to pick up rocks, I thought for sure he would throw them at Woody LOL. "Be good to your mum!" classic! Cheers from Tokyo Japan
Speak to Todd in Perth WA, hes designed and sells a cam shaft that changes the firing order to improve engine harmonics. Makes it sound and rev like a HD-FT. Nice detailed build lads keep up the good work 🤙
There is a fairbit in them mate. I done a months work at a diesel shop during my aprentiship the first time i stripped down a pump and looked at all the parts in the tray my only thought was all that shit goes in there. There is a few parts in an injector to.
Thanks for this , I’ve got a 1991 safari non turbo . I haven’t had the fuel pump recond yet . I have had this from new it’s done 320000 kilometres. So I will take it to a diesel mechanic and see
Putting all the injector pipes together is always fun; I remember doing that with my TDI...only thing that sucks is the little plastic clips that they use to hold them together always get brittle and start breaking when you work on them.
That is one awesome workshop Baileys have got there. Wow! These Diesels are really a dark art in my view. Some great knowledge in here I didn't know before. Thanks ;)
amazing video I lost part of thumb to a belt a year ago.. nice to see Allan is human too. Turbo yoda.. imagine all of the air you have positively displaced.
Im building a Td27t for a ´89 Nissan King Cab D21 (Navara?). Looks very similar, only difference seems to be plus 2 cylinders. Good insight into the inner workings of the pump, looking to get some more power out of mine also.
Haha cant believe you were in the Gong. It's pronounces like You-nanderra even though its spelled Unanderra. Plus I know the guy that met you at the front desk. Small world!
Hi mofjet, Coaster is a small bus, you are right. The fan Woody installed in the Patrol appears to be from an HB30 or HB31 model. The H in the model designation refers to the engine installed - the engine also installed in the HJ series of *wait for it, wait for it*... Did you guess "LandCruiser"?
mcmtv2 Al thats a bosch VE pump 1st gen cummins use those you can buy upgraded parts for the pump all over the usa . They can supply about 500hp of fuel. I seen a video of a guy in germany using a p7100 on a td42.
Curious, how did you time the pump to the engine? When I did TD/QD/BD pump changeovers many years ago we used to measure plunger lift with a dial gauge to a set height
This was a little before mcm started work on RB26 swapped 240z, I like the under the pump pun!!?? Was it intention tho?? And now it sounds like a happy diesel!!
About 1200f max egt is happy for a diesel, and I don't know that I've ever seen someone measure afr on a diesel. Especially not an old mechanical one. Sounds feisty with the new pump.
Loved the part with Alan sitting on the stool by the road waiting...
seated, seated... And strangely broke the finger ).
The waiting is the hardest part .
pure gold
It was an Oscar worthy scene for sure lol
Relaxing bird song for sure
Al is definitely more confident and comfortable in front of the camera these days. Show is getting really good.
So there were rumors of Marty and Moog buying a MR2 SW20 and Alan and Woody are in Sydney in a MR2 they borrow from a friend.... its also pretty fucked so that makes me think it is even more likely to have something to do with Marty or Moog
Marty got it in Japan.
Plus Moog was in Wollongong recently
Sherlock 🕵️♂️ here 😂
Do the mr2 build already!!! I'll probably have my 1nzxfe powered aw11 running before they do the mr2 videos.
I was thinking the same thing.
GenFUBAR.
Thumbs up for hearing from someone so knowledgeable keen to learn about something new from other experts.. everyone should be looking to do the same!
Meanwhile, who else needs a soda blaster in their garage?
It's great seeing Al getting comfortable in front of the camera and being able to do the interviews a lot smoother than before!
Mr_Mao Prolly a bit tipsy... j/k
Thanks for coming through and spending a few hours with us, was nice meeting you both.
Hope the upgraded pump treats you well.
And good thing the pump got there okay, made sure I packed it up real good for ya.
James Konsti
Hello there! Can I send you my pump also?
See Al happy and giggling makes me feel good inside
Happy Al, happy life.
Wow this ep was super interesting. That factory/warehouse setup was insane.
Look how CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL is an aussie factory. God I'd give everything to escape from Europe and work in Australia...
TURBO DIESEL its got to be clean mate microscopic dust is the quickest was to kill a diesel fuel system.
You aussie have some next level mind
Try Germany, Austria, Sweden, etc you will find the same kind of labs.
Love your basic reasons on your videos for the reason behind your mods to the vehicles you build. Greeting from Cape Canaveral, FL USA.
More diesel goodness. Im gonna take a wild guess and say that tomorrows MCM episode is gonna have an MR2 in it.
not sure if its an mr2. could be anything
its definitely an mr2
Took 2 years but yeah
Weird thing is that I have no interest in doing this kind of thing myself but I can't stop watching these vids. Well i see why these pumps cost so much. Thanks for the great content guys!
Joonas Pulkkinen about 1 to 2 days in labour to rebuild a pump from memory.
The mailbox waiting scene - classic. Great cinematography, things like that make it more than "just a youtube car show".
Will this fit my Land Rover?
Dash Cam Owners Australia wow you are here
No, no it won’t. Not now not never. Lol
yes it will, 300tdi and 200tdi have a bosch VE pump, it'll virtually fit straight on.
LOL. Anyone know Al's feelings on Landrover? 😂
and 1hd
I love the fact that you started with a 10-mill and by the end of the job you didn't have it any more. It's very authentic.
They did a very nice rebuilt of the injector pump. These old engines are very reliable if they have proper care. Can't wait fot the next episode.
Some much awesomeness in that diesel shop...Soda blasting, Ultrasonic washing... and the drain under the wash station... gold class.
This is definitely my favorite series on TH-cam right now. Really enjoying the Skid Factory's content, information, and demeanor.
That pump looks amazing. It's obvious Bailey Diesel puts a lot of pride into their work.
Alan is finally so much more comfortable then he was when he first appeared on MCM 2 years ago yaya great job !
Always drop everything for a new ep from Al and the skid factory. Learnt a right "snatchload" of new things as moog would say lol
Again I realised that Al is living in a freaking paradise-like sopt.Must be heaven there.
This is such an informative series. It's almost like something you'de see on Discovery Chanel.
If you watch it at 1.25 speed alan looks excited about stuff
Yoda has been modifying engines for 1100 years. He does not become an excited kid creaming his pants whilst unleashing unicorns anymore.
Good to see you still learning Al.
Sitting at the mailbox, I love this guy.
Time for my favorite 20-30 minutes of the week.
the skid factory would be a good name for a mexican restaurant
Bruno Fabbri 😂
Hahaha
I'm gonna go ahead and say that unnamed 90s JDM coupe is a Toyota MR2. I love those things! (Im commenting only after the first minute of the video of them driving around)

I believe it's the turbo version. The NAs didn't have that little storage space in between the seats. Definitely an MR2 though!
Yesidoplaytheguitar yeah SW20? I had a 4AGE Silverton swapped AW11. Loved that thing
LaPavoniMac sounds awesome! I have recently been watching a build series on Tavarish's channel where he builds an MR2 NA and puts turbo parts in it, recognized it immediately!
but the question is which sw20 mr2 are they getting coz theres 3 versions of it rev1 2 and 3
Proper shed skids. Thank you! I was very disappointed that no shed skids were done (on camera) with the Fairlane.
Sweet build. I love m-tdi so easy to tune once you have the right pump.
Soot.... dont worry about it. No smoke no poke!!
10.42 comedy act, yeah i know that feeling..after the pump reco it just sounds right, well done guys.
Love it! I could watch you guys play with diesels all day long. Gives me inspiration go out and make more videos of my Cummins Land Rover conversion!
When Al was waiting by the mail box and he went to pick up rocks, I thought for sure he would throw them at Woody LOL.
"Be good to your mum!" classic!
Cheers from Tokyo Japan
Al is one of a kind. He cracks me up.
I love that music you guys pair with your montages--- in the first couple of episodes, I was like... ??? :/ ???? But now, I groove out and love it.
America loves diesel, America loves MCM and Turbo Yoda. Thank you for this.
2:00 Awesome you went through my home town of Berkeley, love the show guys, keep up the awesome work.
"Be nice to your Mum." Classic!!
Why am I all of a sudden so excited about a TD42 Turbo conversion?! Nice vids guys, look forward to the next one :)
Speak to Todd in Perth WA, hes designed and sells a cam shaft that changes the firing order to improve engine harmonics. Makes it sound and rev like a HD-FT.
Nice detailed build lads keep up the good work 🤙
Waiting by your mailbox doesn't seem so bad with all of the birds singing in the background.
Dwain Ellsworth obviously not a local, it gets old
Turbo Yoda gets the birds :P
can't be any worse than living near train tracks.
Lol, with a lemon crush in hand
I love that Al is so much more comfortable in front of the camera/presenting now
One of my new favourite series, great work guys
That is a beautiful country. I would sit by the mailbox all day. Great episode! As always.
Australia is fantastic.
That wash brings it out crazy clean!
I learned a new thing today... Great video guys. Thanks for making it. *Saludos!*
Damn those pumps look way more complicated than I expected.
Daniel Wolfe A lot things on a diesel are more complicated than you might think.
Brooks Yeager apparently! haha.
There is a fairbit in them mate. I done a months work at a diesel shop during my aprentiship the first time i stripped down a pump and looked at all the parts in the tray my only thought was all that shit goes in there.
There is a few parts in an injector to.
Love watching these boys do their handywork
Thanks for this , I’ve got a 1991 safari non turbo . I haven’t had the fuel pump recond yet .
I have had this from new it’s done 320000 kilometres. So I will take it to a diesel mechanic and see
Best thing to wake up to on a Wednesday! Love this series guys, keep us the good work!
Bloody hell! now I have to wait till next week to see the results.
Jeez, that sounded heaps better than last time. Heaps👌
This is my most favourite channel good work guys love the vids
Amazing seeing Al sit there staring at something intensely pondering. Makes me feel less bad that I don't know everything about cars. ;)
That sorting tray looks mighty handy, might have to fabricobble something together for home use!
Putting all the injector pipes together is always fun; I remember doing that with my TDI...only thing that sucks is the little plastic clips that they use to hold them together always get brittle and start breaking when you work on them.
Really enjoyed the show, as usual. Keep up the good work lads!
Great production guys! In depth info and great humor, top notch guys! Keep the skid factory rolling!
listen to those birds awesome ... i could sit there waiting with a beer alllllday
That is one awesome workshop Baileys have got there. Wow! These Diesels are really a dark art in my view. Some great knowledge in here I didn't know before. Thanks ;)
I love it. Wish there were that many simple diesels available in the states
Hope your finger heals well. Congratulations on the build too.
Really enjoy these videos, keep up the good work! Had a good chuckle at the "about to put the kettle on" bit
10.48 , my favourite part of the series.
Great video liked watching how the pump came apart.
amazing video
I lost part of thumb to a belt a year ago..
nice to see Allan is human too.
Turbo yoda.. imagine all of the air you have positively displaced.
New MCM MR2 project?
this has been known for a while
You guys are killing it
Box says fragile
First thing he does is slam it on the table 😂
You turkeys better keep uploading great videos. Great work as always.
I love this!...no screaming and waving with arms and hands like all American youtubers :D
Psst, you should check out Finnegan's Garage. He's a nice, calm American.
Alan waiting at the mail box, absolutely hilarious!! Great videos fellas, keep up the great work!
Im building a Td27t for a ´89 Nissan King Cab D21 (Navara?). Looks very similar, only difference seems to be plus 2 cylinders. Good insight into the inner workings of the pump, looking to get some more power out of mine also.
myrakas86 noice
All my favorite youtube shows are out of Australia. Can't wait to visit there someday
Haha cant believe you were in the Gong. It's pronounces like You-nanderra even though its spelled Unanderra. Plus I know the guy that met you at the front desk. Small world!
Im trying to figure out who you are
I really like this Ive definitely learned a good bit from young Al 👌🏻❤️
Killer vid.
Cool seeing Allan is always still learning. Maaad.
Excellent timing. Just about to install a gfb3007 as well. Might wait for you to do yours...great vid
Hey Al, Pretty classy how you keep calling it a "Coaster" fan and never ever mention LandCruisers. Great show guys - I mean bros.
Warwick Ryan coaster is a small bus. Nothing to do with land cruiser
Hi mofjet, Coaster is a small bus, you are right. The fan Woody installed in the Patrol appears to be from an HB30 or HB31 model. The H in the model designation refers to the engine installed - the engine also installed in the HJ series of *wait for it, wait for it*... Did you guess "LandCruiser"?
mofjet coaster busses use to use landcruiser engines, radiators and related componets. Not shure if the still do.
mcmtv2
Al thats a bosch VE pump 1st gen cummins use those you can buy upgraded parts for the pump all over the usa . They can supply about 500hp of fuel. I seen a video of a guy in germany using a p7100 on a td42.
Yoda = awesomeness, such a honest guy and guru!! Love mcm and all videos u post!
Curious, how did you time the pump to the engine? When I did TD/QD/BD pump changeovers many years ago we used to measure plunger lift with a dial gauge to a set height
Great video guys, sorry about the hand Al!
it's interesting knowing what is inside a injector pump now. I hope you got some +30 injectors to go with the new 12mm pump
Under 500 degrees egt,I've seen a courier with a wound up pump pulling 20+psi up a hill going over 1000 on the egr gague
This was a little before mcm started work on RB26 swapped 240z, I like the under the pump pun!!?? Was it intention tho?? And now it sounds like a happy diesel!!
turbo yoda wainting scene what a beutiful paradise that sound so alive
Australia is so beautiful.
What an excellent episode! Keep it up.
Very nicely done nice to hear it start.
About 1200f max egt is happy for a diesel, and I don't know that I've ever seen someone measure afr on a diesel. Especially not an old mechanical one. Sounds feisty with the new pump.
Wow! A proper intro!!!!
You live in a nice place mate . Lucky bastard
Should've stopped and got a Vietnamese pork roll at the bakery you passed at the 1:40 mark 👍
