I noticed that the stone is moving slightly up and down when you go over it with the polisher. The wooden pallets do not seem to give enough support for the stone. The pallets are flexing. If you would make a steel frame for the stone straight from the start when you do the initial cut it would also be much easier to set it up for polishing, and you would get a much better result in terms of flatness. And I agree with all the others about the moving camera. But other than that it is not a bad result.
Haha you are correct that does happen. I see where you are coming from, because each rock we do is shaped different on the back and that shape can vary wildy having metal frames would be amazing but it would have to have a system where each piece can move up and down independently to match the new shape of the new stone to be able to level it out with the machine as well as being able to hold 500kg on any given spot (rough max), Wood is easier to use for customising different holds for different stones and if all it takes is skills on the machine to keep it level and have a great result then speed and flexibility is going to be my choice :) I’ll try explain it in a vid I’m terrible at typing haha
@@bothestonedman8315 I understand you, but it really isn't that hard to make adjustable metal legs to keep the stone up. For example when people renovate a house they use supports that have threaded supports at the top so that it fits every shape or height. Sure it would require some time and effort to make such a stand, but you only have to do that only once. Another example, most bottle jacks also have threaded rods on top so that they are adjustable. Those are cheap and those would also make a good donor material for such a stand. And you can install as many of those adjustable legs as you want or need. I only mention the bottle jack as an example for the threaded rod ends, not for the hydraulic lifting. The supports for the house renovation might be cheaper to source. Either way both can hold the weight from the stone with ease when you would use a couple of those. And both are fully adjustable. And it would save a ton of time to set things up. Just a thought.
