We’re having an IU stream this Sunday (2/25) @ 11:30am EST! Make sure to head over to our Twitch and drop a follow so you don’t miss the stream! twitch.tv/kessandhan
The first verse is sang by IU. The second verse is sang by Hyein of NewJeans and the 3rd verse is sang by Joe, WonJun. The narration at the end was the legendary Patti Kim who has since retired and lives in the US. She wanted to have 3 generations of women on this video. Hyein who is in her teens, IU who just entered her 30's, and Joe, Wonjun is in her 50's. Genius!!! She is really something isn't she..Tang Wei the brilliant Chinese film star and really, really good decided to do her first MV because she loves IU.
In fact, Tang Wei has been active in Korean movies since he came to Korea for many years, married a Korean director, gave birth to a child, and lived there.
IU said “Shh.' contains the voices of female vocalists from each generation. The lyrics are about important women in our lives. I'm singing about my mom, HYEIN is singing about her first friend. WONSUN JOE sings about the complicated emotions towards one's role model. It's a song about women sharing their complicated emotions that can't be summarized simply as either love, friendship, obsession or something else.” Plus, the participating singers, directors, actors, and narrators are all women. Although (maybe) the main story is about a mother and daughter, because that’s the first and the most important relationship between women and it seems like IU was first inspired by mother-daughter relationship, It’s not only about that, It’s about the diverse and complex relationships between different women and the respect we have for them. The song is about female solidarity through generations that all women can relate to!!!
In the lyrics "it's not about F not about L", the letter F and L represent Female and Lady. And these letter also can represent Friendship and Love between mom and daughter. Then at the end of the song, the lyrics become "it's all about F all about L" In my opinion, this whole song is dedicated to all the women around the world who are basically daughters and mothers at the same time. If you look closer, there says "MOBIUS STRIP SONG OF MOTHER SUBCONSCIOUSNESS". Here you can notice that Shh.. kinda sounds like "she(female, lady)" and also sounds like "shh" when mothers try to comfort her crying baby. You think that you fully know about your mom. You are her best friend. But on the other hand, you don't really know about your mom. You don't know how beautiful she was when she was in your age. You don't know the passion she had when she was in your age. In the movie Tangwei went back to past to meet her mom. There IU(mother) looks amazing. Tangwei wants to hide her away. She wants to lock her beauty, youth, memory in her mind. And IU wants to do it too. This mother daughter story is beautiful.
MV description translated: This is not a simple friendship story. It is not a simple love story either. There was something more complicated between her and me. Names that win me over every time. Names that never go out of style in my mind. who guided me to where I am now, The names that somehow make up me, To those women who are special and complex for a long time.
In fact, Tang Wei has been active in Korean movies for many years since she married a Korean director and had a baby. Tang Wei also said that she was a fan of IU and delivered a handwritten letter about her feelings for IU.
if we linked it to iu's personal story, how she raised by granma in poor condition at early age bc financial issue i assume at that time how she feels abandoned, feel rage & hatred as portrayed by tangwei but in the end she acknowledge her mom did try her best. At the end of the mv we return to the past of IU's mother and grandmother, since the relationships of mothers and daughters are a historically repeated loop. indicated at their resemblance, not only physically but also mental state. how the mother saw the daughter and could tell she was feeling exactly like she were feeling towards her mother, the intense emotion that full of various emotions. its a loop Her name is #Shh... In SK's context, a mum immediately 'loses' her name once her child is born. She wld b known as xxx's omma. Also, it's v common for a young child to think their mum's name is Mummy. Will a mother's name be forgotten? shh = she hid her(?) its not abt f (friendship) is not about l (love) we got smtg else = mother daughter bond that way beyond that (but its also all abt friendship & love actually) iu (s) = she (as the subject of the story aka mom) tangwei (h) = her (as the object aka daughter) Tang wei :playing as the daughter shows how we can carry painful words/experiences caused by our moms until we're older. Later on in life, esp when we became mothers ourselves, realizing that they only did or said those just out of love . #IU"Shh..." is about relationships between women, between mothers and daughters. Women who remain enigmas. A mother was also once a daughter. A cycle that continues around the world. Her name is "Shh.." since we can replace it with any woman's name. "Shh..." is poetry ❤️
Wow, you both are so great interpreted the song. Mostly, daughters can relate to this song. Mother and daughter relationship is always complicated. But at the end we'll know and understood our mother when we grow up. IU is always amazing with her work. This 4 generation of Women is so beautiful combo. Thank you for make IU's songs reaction video ❤
IU shared a letter that Tang Wei wrote to her after filming talking about her experience, and everything mentioned in the letter makes it very blatant that the relationship in the MV is about a mother and daughter (Tang Wei mentions key memories of her childhood and her relationship with her own mother, for instance). But I will say that the story in the MV is more than just mother-daughter, since there are two sides to the story and that part is only from Tang Wei's POV. IU's POV in the second verse is about a 'friendship'. And in that case, a GL angle is very plausible. Theory: In the PAST, She placed those she loved in there (so they can be with her forever) - her mother and her friend. In the PRESENT, she spots IU, who looks very much like her mother, when she was younger. Before seeing IU, she had early spotted someone who looked like her friend, whom she (assumed that she knocked out) placed in the boot. She would have place IU in the boot too except IU boldly approached her first. It can be assumed the woman in the boot will be placed down there too. But IU will be her mother figure in the present and most probably live together, with IU keeping her secret...Shh A dark theme indeed. Love the story line. Want a darker theme: Consider she has been driving around looking out for people that resembles her mother and her friend. If this isn't her first drive, then how many people has she "collected" in there? IU delivers another MV movie!❤ IU has really gone all out for her fans: 4 MVs from 5 songs - 1 Fantasy, 1 Fun, 1 Dark and 1 Apocalyptic. Uniquely IU indeed. Respect much! .👍🏻❤👏👏
the mv is basically that one tiktok saying "as a woman, i have so much empathy for my mother, but as a daughter i have so much anger" 🤣🤣 maybe IU being Tang Wei's mom did something. left her early or inflicted some trauma. that's why Tang Wei hid her.. out of love. they hid each other i think. you see IU was hidden in warm, cozy space, with her daughter. While IU, who also hid Tang Wei, in a trunk, cold, and alone. "Here's to those women who remains to be an enigma, forever etched somewhere in my time" our mothers! The two at the end shows another story, of a mother and daughter. also they are showing generational pictures of mothers and daughters, because it becames a loop (if the daughter decides to have a family, that is) because every mother was also a daughter. I suck at explaining but yeah that's my understanding on the MV 😆 edit: additionally i think the way IU hid Tang Wei, she thought it was out of love as well, though for Tang Wei (as a daughter) it was not translated well and she felt may isolation or suffocation something like that.
Props to you! I really enjoyed your reactions. You girls definitely understood the meaning of the song/MV better than me on the first listen/watch. Also I'm really looking forward to the IU stream this Saturday. Can't wait for you two to dive and look more into IU. She is a genius.
Tang Wei is a phenomenal actress. "Decision to leave" is one of the best korean movie since "parasite". It got awarded in many international festivals and cinema award ceremonies (Tang Wei got 3 "best actress" awards for her role in this movie). She is chinese but she married the korean film director Kim Tae-yong so she is quite active in the korean film industry. For those who like costume cdramas and palace stories, she was very good in "ming dynasty".
I'm think F is friendship L is love. I think Sh.. may be what the daughter was told when she asked about her mother. In a few months someone will have worked it out, probably IU will tell us more
I wonder why nobody consider that F as Family, her relationship with her own mom transcend family and love that sort of stuff, so Tang Wei look for and pick up a girl(IU) that resemblance to her mom in that picture? Just guessing.
My guess is IU got introduced to Tang Wei in 2022 when their respective films are invited to compete in Cannes Film Festival. IU with "Broker" and Tang Wei with "Decision to Leave". They both are spectacular actresses. So, I know that the MV gonna be on another level when it said that it starring Tang Wei.
Thank you for the reaction! I really enjoyed your theories and think they make sense (far more detailed than anything I came up with before watching your video). Perhaps another interesting part of the mother-daughter dynamic is that the 3 singers are all quite far apart in age: Joe Won Sun in her fifties, IU in her thirties and Hyein in her teens. (And Patti Kim who does the narration in the end in her eighties and Tang Wei in her forties) It's been a long time since we got an IU comeback, but woooow what a comeback this is! She certainly makes up for the wait. I can already tell that MV of the year will be IU vs IU
Mobius is an infinity loop consisting of only one side. The mother and daughter are from a different parallel timeline on this loop. To try and stop their lives from repeating, they hid the other person. The person they are seeing is from a different timeline.
So the words that you noticed but couldn't read were the words "Mobius Strip". The Mobius Strip is a one-sided surface that can be constructed by affixing the ends of a rectangular strip after first having given one of the ends a one-half twist. So it's almost like a twisted circle. The Mobius Strip brings forth the idea of infinity / endless and "Losing Control", and that no matter wherever one goes, whichever direction--a single loop on this Mobius Strip will bring you to the SAME starting point, just COMPLETELY INVERSE in location (or upside down). This falls in line with the idea of a love hate relationship between a mother and daughter (which is what H (Portrayed by Tang Wei) and S (Portrayed by IU) are). In each mother daughter relationship, we have things that we want to bury and forget about our parents, but likewise, we EMULATE them as well. Tang Wei's character goes through the whole process of being in denial and avoidant about the idea of her own mother (IU),, hence why the idea of the basement in red--but as she reaches the age that her mother once was, she starts to SEE mirror images of herself being like her mother, and that's what jars her. This mirror image or similiarity between her and her mother opens up a whole box that she tried to hide away, going back to look at the old photos, reminiscing about her mother after a long time. Like Tang Wei's character, IU's character echos the same sentiment. In her other half of the MV (after Hyein's section), the narration goes : "She shouldn't be here too." and "Truth is, I saw her first." Like Tang Wei's character, IU's character had gone through the same thing--she saw her own mother in herself as she reached the age of what her mother was (hence why the roles reverse, Tang Wei's character is IU's mother this time, getting buried in a car trunk and teasing IU opposite with a smile). And like her daughter, IU's character goes through the same thing, burying the bitter parts of her own mother daughter relationship to time, and realizing as she grows up that she's LIKE her mother as well. That's why at the very end of the song and the narration, the lyrics go: Here, I have an old tale. Known by everyone and no one at the same time. This is in reference to other mother daughter relationships. We KNOW the story already--there are many mother daughter relationships we see in lives, whether it be around us or with us, but we don't KNOW the exact tale of it, which is why its an old tale "Known by everyone and no one at the same time", because each mother daughter relationship is different, even if the ESSENCE of it stays the same: and that is we have things we love and hate about our parents, but as we grow, no matter how much we want or wish to avoid them, we end up bringing parts of our parents, emulating them in certain forms and ways. It also makes a LOT of sense why IU has Hyein singing the middle part (which is how a daughter sees her mother), and why she has so many features in here, you have FOUR different generations of vocalists in this song, from IU who is in her late 20s early 30s, Hyein who is in her teens, and Joe Wonsun being in her 50s, Tang Wei in her her 40s and finally Patti Kim (the narrator at the end) who's 85 years old. It's a generation of women growing up to be who they are, and who they are in their children's eyes, who they see their mothers like, and finally understanding the fact that they're all similar to each other because as mother and daughter they emulate their parents.
Just subscribed your channel since you will react more for IU and you tow ladies been very cute and appreciate how awesome IU is! You two will love IU even more as you get to know her more, she is an angel inside and out and such a genuine human being 💜💙
In Tang Wei's letter to IU, it was said that through the making of this music video and the line from the song, she wondered if her eyes were really like her mother's and she really wanted to check it out. She also said that she thought about how she imagined her mom in her younger years. And she realized that this image is not clear, because she was not part of her life then and she only knows it from her father's words and photos. On the set she imagined that she met her in her younger years and suddenly realized that her mother was just like her - young, beautiful and shining on stage. I think both the song and the video express that the relationship between mom and daughter is a special bond. Something beyond friendship and beyond love. Something special. One thing continues the other. When you're a kid you're sometimes unable to understand why mom acts a certain way. You know and see mom from one side. But when you grow up, you understand her better. Because you start to see the world from her perspective. And this story repeats itself again only with another child and another mom. A amazing song and music film on the theme of the connection of women in the family and their sometimes difficult relationships on the way to understanding each other.
Album introduction for Shh.. translation by IUtsc. ‘It’s not just a friendship. It’s not just a love story. There was something more complicated between her and me.’ Names that beat me and win every time. Names that are timeless in my heart. Names that guided me to become who I am today. Names that form who I am somewhere inside me. To the ladies who will be special and complicated for a long time.'
IU’s pen never disappoints like she’s really a genius lyricist like Her name is Shh... In SK's context, a mum immediately 'loses' her name once her child is born. She wld b known as xxx's omma. Also, it's v common for a young child to think their mum's name is Mummy. Will a mother's name be forgotten?
Tang wei will always have love for her mother even tho she might not the best one, that’s why she hid her “out of love” while iu hid her in that cold and lonely place. Maybe that’s why when she sees where she’s been hidden she felt bad and apologetic towards her daughter.
It has so deep meaning for the songs and lyrics. The meaning of F is Friend, and L is Love. The lyrics said ‘it’s not about F and L’, therefore it’s not about Friend and Love story. I think it’s like a story that faces me through the past, the present, and the future as women.😂
I think the shop sign is the clue that its an ongoing loop. Anything hidden is a memory/subconscious but always leaves a clue (dress tail caught outside trap door and car boot) S is IU as the mother of Tang Wei (H). H is Tang wei as the daughter who has hidden memories of the mother but finds that IU (S) looks like the mum. Next scene, H looks like the friend ( another H because they look alike) of IU (S) who has hidden memories of her friend. So SHH.. is the song title because on going loop as seen from the end when cycle starts again with ladies in blue. IU got 4 generations of good korean singers into the MV. I think it rep that one generation make the way for the generation that comes, like mother/women make the way for daughters/women and they are all connected in a loop, generation after generation. Sharing My thots. Love an IU MV, reads like a good detective story.
Listening to your great interpretation, I thought that maybe not only the daughter can understand better the mother, but both the mother and the daughter can recognize each other as "women", with emotions and feelings, and a life that go beyond the mother/daughter relationship...
here's my interpretation. The song is sang by 4 ladies with diff age group. So each section sang diff feelings for each age category. For teen, mother is seen as a nightmare, when you grew older, you understand your mother POV a little bit more better
Basically its a song about complicated relationship between a mother (iu) and daughter(tangwei). In the lyrics "its not about f(friend ship)" . "its not about L(love)" Its more complicated. The song shows the resentment of a daughter to their mother, while in a mother pov she doing it out of love. And at the end of the mv the daughter who now grow up start to understand her mother more. Btw, the 4 generation of women iu chose might simbolize how usually mother and daughter relationship have going through lot of generational 'trauma'/complicated relationship.
F could be family or female as well.. L could also be loss. On my first listen, i thought f was Female and L was Love.. Like she is saying the song isnt a love song about a female, which some might relate. But after hearing Hyein's part, she seems to be talking about her friend so, there I assumed F could have meant Friend.. IU is too good, every song makes us think..
Friends... can a mother and daughter also be friends? I think it is possible. First love, first world, a mother is that kind of person to a fetus. I see this song as a tribute to her mother and to all mothers and daughters in the world.
And not to mention the 4 generations of women represented here; Hyein in her mid teens, IU in her 30s, Wonson Jo is in her 50s (I think) and Patti Kim is in her 80s (I think). Just adds something to the underlying narrative of history repeating itself.
L for love F for friendship.. so this song related to me abt my late mother share the same eyes with me but i cant rembered coz my mom passed away when i so small.. until Now i have to accept everything abt the comparison
I am from India, I don't know why I am here even I don't know the language ? But, recently, I hear IU song love wins all. And that song really impress me this song is also awesome and love your reaction.
In the PAST, She placed those she loved in there (so they can be with her forever) - her mother and her friend. In the PRESENT, she spots IU, who looks very much like her mother. Before seeing IU, she had early spotted someone who looked like her friend, whom she (assumed that she knocked out) placed in the boot. She would have place IU in the boot too except IU boldly approached her first and doesn't seem afraid, even after IU found out about what's down the trapdoor. It can be assumed the woman in the boot will be placed down there too. the other feature is from the lead vocalist of a legendary Korean rock band, Roller Coaster. Her name is Joe Won Sun. I'm gonna go and give a listen to her songs
Somehow I read it as friendship, romance and mother-daughter all at once kind of thing even though everything else is masked under the mother-daughter dynamic. For example when the lighting on Tang Wei changes to blue it could signify a change in dynamic, or in the end before they hugged, there was lesbian vibes when IU tilted her head especially. ANYWAY-
"In her other half of the MV (after Hyein's section), the narration goes : "She shouldn't be here too." and "Truth is, I saw her first." Like Tang Wei's character, IU's character had gone through the same thing--she saw her own mother in herself as she reached the age of what her mother was (hence why the roles reverse, Tang Wei's character is IU's mother this time, getting buried in a car trunk and teasing IU opposite with a smile). And like her daughter, IU's character goes through the same thing, burying the bitter parts of her own mother daughter relationship to time, and realizing as she grows up that she's LIKE her mother as well." .. This is from a comment here.. another POV .. of the part you are referring to..
THANKS FOR THE REACTION. IU IS QUEEN. SHE HAS VERY UNIC AND CREAMY ,Soft voice. Please react to IU more "Through the Night" or "Strawberry Moon" Please react to IU ❤❤❤I love you guys ❤❤❤
Really enjoy your reactions. I also love the song - and recognize the video as beautiful…though really don’t know how to interpret the message. My sense is that this is all happening in the daughter’s subconscious but could be completely wrong
I don't think they are supposed to be mother and daughter, though they could be. This song is about the bond shared between individuals who have experienced the love and loss of significant relationships. The "Shh" is representing the unspoken feelings that bind them together.
What I understood is that IU is the mother's character, and she forgives her daughter in the end, I don't quite understand, did the daughter literally or metaphorically "kill" her mother? The music is very beautiful and the film is very beautiful!
That dream mentioned in the song about two girls going up and down on a see-saw. That was a sex dream, right? IU seems to be struggling to admit to long-repressed feelings.
This is a common metaphor in Korea. I think it means both happiness and unhappiness in life. In life, if there are uphills, there are also downhills haha. What you say may be right, but usually Korean people think like me!

Yay! Exciting!!! More IU contents in patreon yohooo
IU‘s live always better than MV
The first verse is sang by IU. The second verse is sang by Hyein of NewJeans and the 3rd verse is sang by Joe, WonJun. The narration at the end was the legendary Patti Kim who has since retired and lives in the US. She wanted to have 3 generations of women on this video. In fact, Tang Wei has been active in Korean movies since he came to Korea for many years, married a Korean director, gave birth to a child, and lived there.
@centrgirl / i just love your writing and insight...👍👍
What a project
Sorry. Joe Won Jun. X

IU said “Shh.' contains the voices of female vocalists from each generation. The lyrics are about important women in our lives. I'm singing about my mom, HYEIN is singing about her first friend. WONSUN JOE sings about the complicated emotions towards one's role model. It's a song about women sharing their complicated emotions that can't be summarized simply as either love, friendship, obsession or something else.”
Plus, the participating singers, directors, actors, and narrators are all women.
It’s from IU’s Marie Claire interview
Hyein born 2008
IU born 1993
Wonsun Joe born 1972
Patti Kim born 1938
IU + Hyein + Wonsun Joe + Patti Kim (4 Generations) Just WOW 😮
I love the mv/song analysis....all I felt that it's a mom/daughter video
It‘s a story between a mother and daughter. The daughter reunits with her mother in her younger days.

IU has taken my heart since love wins all she's amazing this album is insane
if we linked it to iu's personal story, how she raised by granma in poor condition at early age bc financial issue i assume at that time how she feels abandoned, feel rage & hatred as portrayed by tangwei but in the end she acknowledge her mom did try her best. At the end of the mv we return to the past of IU's mother and grandmother, since the relationships of mothers and daughters are a historically repeated loop.
indicated at their resemblance, not only physically but also mental state. how the mother saw the daughter and could tell she was feeling exactly like she were feeling towards her mother, the intense emotion that full of various emotions. its a loop
Her name is #Shh...
In SK's context, a mum immediately 'loses' her name once her child is born. She wld b known as xxx's omma. Also, it's v common for a young child to think their mum's name is Mummy.
Will a mother's name be forgotten?
shh = she hid her(?)
its not abt f (friendship) is not about l (love) we got smtg else = mother daughter bond that way beyond that (but its also all abt friendship & love actually)
iu (s) = she (as the subject of the story aka mom)
tangwei (h) = her (as the object aka daughter)
Tang wei :playing as the daughter shows how we can carry painful words/experiences caused by our moms until we're older.
I really like the part about moms names being “forgotten” when they have a kid! It really makes sense about the Shh part!
Respect much! .👍🏻❤👏👏
LMAO I've seen you everywhere 😭
Also loved the choice of featuring different woman from different generations in a song about mother/daughter relationship
I really like IU's deep thinking. You found IU, and I found you:) Subscribed! Thank you for putting the honest efforts to understand the MV and song.
the mv is basically that one tiktok saying "as a woman, i have so much empathy for my mother, but as a daughter i have so much anger" 🤣🤣
maybe IU being Tang Wei's mom did something. left her early or inflicted some trauma. that's why Tang Wei hid her.. out of love. they hid each other i think.
you see IU was hidden in warm, cozy space, with her daughter.
I suck at explaining but yeah that's my understanding on the MV 😆
edit: additionally i think the way IU hid Tang Wei, she thought it was out of love as well, though for Tang Wei (as a daughter) it was not translated well and she felt may isolation or suffocation something like that.
2:27 is where hyein (newjeans) starts singing, she’s only 15 and so so talented, her voice suited this song so much
Thank you for the reaction! (And Patti Kim who does the narration in the end in her eighties and Tang Wei in her forties)
It's been a long time since we got an IU comeback, but woooow what a comeback this is! She certainly makes up for the wait. I can already tell that MV of the year will be IU vs IU
Hyein Ate 🔥🔥
You two will love IU even more as you get to know her more, she is an angel inside and out and such a genuine human being 💜💙
You guys have a really good analysis about the mv. . yes it's about the complicated relationship between mother and daughter..
I love IU.she is so talent
I really enjoy how you interpret and talk about the message of the MV :)

There was something more complicated between her and me.’
Names that beat me and win every time.
Names that are timeless in my heart.
Names that guided me to become who I am today.
Names that form who I am somewhere inside me.
To the ladies who will be special and complicated for a long time.'
First! I love seeing your guys reactions :3
IU’s pen never disappoints like she’s really a genius lyricist like
Her name is Shh...
👍👍
I have goose bumps when I saw the car standing in front of the shop maned "Möbius strip'
I am ready to the day IU becomes because I like those kind of emotional things 😂
really like your reaction to this song, this is definitely a special song for all women
The ellipsis in line with the mobius strip concept
This song reminds me of an old song, Portishead’s Glory Box, albeit a bit faster. Love it!
Yes, very nice reaction ! Thank you.
If you want to know about Joe. She is the member of band which name is Rollercoaster. Search for this music “bye bye” If you are interested.
Anything hidden is a memory/subconscious but always leaves a clue (dress tail caught outside trap door and car boot)
S is IU as the mother of Tang Wei (H).
I think
Part IU : About her mother
Part Hyein : about her friend
Part Joe wonsun : about his role model
No but you honestly have to see the live performance of Shh.. 😭
Is Hyein in video too? IU and Hyein vocal combination ❤❤. Can't wait to see IU in LA this August ❤
Immaculate❤❤❤
Basically its a song about complicated relationship between a mother (iu) and daughter(tangwei).
In the lyrics "its not about f(friend ship)" . "its not about L(love)" Its more complicated.
The song shows the resentment of a daughter to their mother, while in a mother pov she doing it out of love.
And at the end of the mv the daughter who now grow up start to understand her mother more.
Btw, the 4 generation of women iu chose might simbolize how usually mother and daughter relationship have going through lot of generational 'trauma'/complicated relationship.
F IS FRIENDSHIP
L IS LOVE is what i got
F could be family or female as well..
L could also be loss.
On my first listen, i thought f was Female and L was Love.. Like she is saying the song isnt a love song about a female, which some might relate. But after hearing Hyein's part, she seems to be talking about her friend so, there I assumed F could have meant Friend..
IU is too good, every song makes us think..
Friends... can a mother and daughter also be friends?
I think it is possible.
First love, first world, a mother is that kind of person to a fetus.
I see this song as a tribute to her mother and to all mothers and daughters in the world.
hyein is just tooo goood!!!!!!!
H - er, S -he... IU's the mother of Tang-wei...
And not to mention the 4 generations of women represented here; Hyein in her mid teens, IU in her 30s, Wonson Jo is in her 50s (I think) and Patti Kim is in her 80s (I think). Just adds something to the underlying narrative of history repeating itself.
IU is making My brain hurt because I don't know what's happening so please help me understand more about the music video and story
L for love F for friendship.. so this song related to me abt my late mother share the same eyes with me but i cant rembered coz my mom passed away when i so small.. until Now i have to accept everything abt the comparison
It literally ends with a möbius strip. mother daughter, daughter mother, top and bottom, up and down, inside out
the actress, Tang Wei, is Somebody.
Go check her out.
I am from India, I don't know why I am here even I don't know the language ? But, recently, I hear IU song love wins all. And that song really impress me this song is also awesome and love your reaction.
Shh stands for she hid her

The Shh...could be mom...couse its out first word and them this became her name. She loses her name after.
there is a reason that L stands for lover 😂
the other feature is from the lead vocalist of a legendary Korean rock band, Roller Coaster. Her name is Joe Won Sun. I'm gonna go and give a listen to her songs
I am not entirely sure of the meaning of this MV and song but I love the vibes!
ANYWAY-
"In her other half of the MV (after Hyein's section), the narration goes : "She shouldn't be here too." and "Truth is, I saw her first." Really enjoy your reactions.
