    The plain fact of the matter is that the large percentage of remaining E24s are like this. Even tidier looking examples can hide nasty rot very well. This is going to be a great project for the channel, I am really interested to see how you get on with this. It is truly a very bad example. I personally know of two of these cars that have been scrapped for rust issues, and they were both way better than this one. I just love how you guys are not fazed by anything at all, it gives me great hope that one day I might get my 840Ci back on the road. Obviously, financially it does not compute. If it is the same deal as my E31, any parts that are still available from BMW have been inflated cost-wise to an unbelievable level, e.g. there are rubber seals around the front and rear screens, the screens are bonded in, these seals are mainly cosmetic to fill the gap between the screen and the body. My car has to have them, they are still available from BMW Germany and are £300 each. It is easy to see all the parts that will have to be replaced on your car, add that cost to your welding and fabrication costs, that is a £30K project, easy, probably before it gets painted.

    • @moneyshifters
      @moneyshifters ปีที่แล้ว

    Very good 👍 job Ryan I really love this video I could see the chassis rails and how it is constructed I love to look at stuff like that and try to figure out how and why it was made like that I'm going to have to pull the motor and transmission and also the front subframe on my jaguar to fix it right. I understand about all the bolts breaking off when you try to take them out I've had it to happen hundreds of times on me before this was a very awesome good video I can't wait to see you guys repairing the chassis rails and rust that is going to help me out on what I have to do with my ol jaguar. Thank you all so much for the upload I look forward seeing it transform before my eyes take care and God bless you all my friends.

    Wow I hope your numbers jump up enough to warrant taking such a massive job on. The car wanted weighing in at local yard. Good luck .
