My question would be, who's paying for labour and materials to make a steel kit.
      Edit wouldn't touch the doors

      Stick with the fibreglass.
Cheaper to replace when he stacks it lol.
Serious question though. With overfender type kits won't this trap moisture and rust out the panel underneath which seems counter productive after spending so much time and money on a restoration.

In all honesty, dont go over the top like everyone else has, making the full custom with your finest sheet steel but keeping the cars beautiful lines just exaggerated to the extreme, remembering that the CSi is one of the finest BMW shapes ever.

I just wanted to take a moment to share my admiration for the incredible effort and dedication you've put into rebuilding the car. I’ve watched all the videos, and it’s clear how much hard work, patience, and attention to detail went into the process.
When I saw the initial state of the car, with all that rust and the overwhelming mess, I could only imagine how disheartening it must have been to face that day after day. Honestly, it’s amazing how you persevered and brought it back to life. Your commitment to restoring it is nothing short of inspiring.
Because of your hard work and the respect I have for the original design, I’ve decided to keep things simple and clean. I’m opting to go for the stock look and will forgo adding any body kits. I feel that choice best honors all the effort you’ve put into the rebuild.
Once again, thank you for sharing this journey and for showcasing what’s possible with skill, passion, and perseverance. Your work doesn’t just restore cars-it inspires people.

I think it's ridiculous, the way this project evolves. First putting in all that effort to get the car in perfect original condition and then putting a vulgair body kit on it, something that 19-year-old boys get a kick out of because they want to drive a so-called 'thick' car... I would never do this as a professional, in fact I would be ashamed if I had to make this. I would refuse to do it if you have any honor.

@@ToreDL87 What an odd comment. So because others didn't have the cash available that MA has from his YT channel they are at fault somehow? And what 'rights' does anyone have if they don't own the car.
Yes we all know MA likes to modify cars (and I am a subscriber) and fair play to him but THIS car has been rebuilt to standard specification. What we see here is a perfect example of a factory 635 bodyshell. So the judgment has to be on the car as it is now not what it was months ago.

The car would look like a strange Frankenstinien combo of a BMW e30 M3 and a BMW 850. The original body design is timeless. Sure, resto mod the car. Perhaps a V12 from an e38 7 series? Uprated suspension etc etc. Sometimes less is more. The work YCR have put into the body is simply awesome. This restoration does not deserve to be ruined by a body kit. I don't care if its in glass fiber steel or even gold. It will still ruin it. I was lucky enough to have two of these cars back in the day. Someone has to speak up for them!

For me, having done all the work, Id leave it completely original. However, if you must modify it then sheet still is the only way to go!
Great videos, keep up the good work and here's to the next series on this beautiful car.

The work has been done with the body kit. Get it fitted and finished then bask in the glory! Making one could be hit or miss but definitely costly. Csi to Csl is badass enough

100% got to do fabrication in sheet metal, putting fiberglass body kit on it,is the easy route,I'm sure if it's done in sheet metal, then it's been done rite the way it should be,matts got plenty of cars so I'm sure he can wait as it will be worth it,and then I'm 100% sure that this BMW will be one of his top 3 cars to date...love what you all do and wish i could be involved 😅can't wait to see it all done❤❤❤

I vote for sheet steel for sure. The e24 is such a beautiful car, I think it would be best to just exaggerate the body lines a bit wider, not too much. Keep the doors original and make it tastefully wider so you can fit some nice wheels.

No ghetto plastic body kit! 😳🥵 Stock body is best but if you have to cut into the car after all your hard restoration work it needs to be done in steel!
