This goes for any game with mods. Games that have devs going against modding don't gain my respect at all.
Either way, this is a masterpiece! Wish I still had people who'd be up to no-lifing a game together for longer than a week.

@@mikesshenanigans8893 game with mods is the best.......I remember adding bunch of mods in star sector and I also did some changes in the game file which make a huge mistake.......my ship and enemy ship are now literally immortal since both have like a bijllion of HP and armour.
Eh, there are cases where not allowing mods make sense, just that inherently single-player games aren't one of them. If you want to mod the shit out of your isolated experience beyond recognition, go for it. Very little reason for a dev to be against that except their vision. When it isn't an isolated experience how ever, then there's a myriad of issues that can arise from giving players too much control.
That's why I like tertiary devs they allow mods

7:40 fun fact : only a certain amount of items can be on the floor at once, so using the extractinator for 30 minutes and then picking everything up you can be sure to have wasted time and ressourses as at least half of it despawned due to entity limitation

28:30 perfectly encapsulates the worst part about Calamity. Friends will never have the same schedules as each other, and it only takes one afternoon for 2 or 3 major bosses to be defeated and never revisited. I myself have always had a full time job while doing Calamity with friends, which we've done 3 times, and 0 of those times have I fought every boss, including Calamitas. And with how long and drawn out Calamity is, people have to take a break from it for a pretty good while before they're ready for another run.

@@SkimoStories Who hurt you? I can pretty confidently say that Calamity Mod is *objectively* on a production and technical scale not garbage. On the contrary it is a pretty ambitious undertaking that it has done very well.
Even without the titular mod, your playthroughs will always revel in a Calamity and we're all the happier for it.
I remember buying Terraria 8 years ago and thinking it was the best game ever, I picked up the game again after seeing Uber's first video and it still is Pixel Perfection.
Oh boy can’t wait for the follow up when TModLoader gets fully brought to 1.4 and we get another play through in 2024.

Is it normal procedure for: Official Terrarria updates first; followed by tmodloader, followed by mod creators? If so will that mean it will take a while before mods themselves will be updated for 1.4?
@@killerbas40 Most of the quality of live and some expansion mods are allready ported to 1.4 tmodloader. Sadly Calamity Thorium and the other not. But Well... They are big xD

me and my friends got 200 hours in a server on calamity and beat the whole vanilla game in 20 hours, one of the best times ive had online.
That's pretty nice, you have friends that play Terraria with you. I have no friends so I can never experience the joy that is Modded Multiplayer.

I have watched it from the beginning to the end like 4 or 5 times and now im watching it again and its still good. Gamer level content.
This video was definitely fun to watch don't get me wrong, but just a bit too much of a clusterfuck compared to the previous one. It kinda lacked the sense of progression that the previous one had, which is also very important to Terraria in general. I felt confused despite completing all the mods in the vid multiple times, but all the editing was pretty good and the building stuff was top tier.

And I'm no extremist or anything but content mod mixing didn't really help :/

Video made sense to me having played a lot of the content shown but I could see how someone who's never played modded would be confused af, specially since it's not really edited in chronological order just jumping around. Playing in softcore as well put me off a little since it meant they just bruteforced through bosses not learning any patterns and facetanking abilities but it was just meant to show them having fun so Its wtvr I guess

Really liked the video but I feel it’s too convoluted compared to the first one, it lacked the sense of progression of your first video. I don’t even know in what order does the content need to be done with the mods

I think its a testament to the imaculate dificulty design of calamity terraria that for 90% of post moon lord bosses me and my friend consistently died in 5 seconds and both said "there is no way that's the fight" only to beat it days, sometimes weeks later, imediatly trivialize it in a couple hours and go on to repeat the process for every single other boss.

Man, I fucking love UberDanger, he always makes me laugh and provides awesome content, but at the same time always manages to induce a mental breakdown in me. I'll be laughing at a joke one moment and then have a mental breakdown the next wondering why my parents left me, only to make a joke again and turn my frown upside down. Uber's content isn't just entertainment, it's my therapy.

Also saw the new vid, and besides a dope new hair setup, I genuinely suggest incorporating yourself for various business and tax benefits. You could monetize practically all of your time if you do it right and it would take off all that stress and uncertainty from the bitchassery of TH-cam.
