@@Blackthornprod WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, hopefully the hand stays
@@Blackthornprod YIPPIE!!!!!

𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐊𝐑𝐉𝐀𝐌
One of the few challenges where I feel like everyone understands why the game works and actively makes it better.
Ya this was one of the challenges where everyone didn’t change the entire game
Was just about to say the same thing 🔥🔥this one was actually fun to watch and it had a very cool outcome in the end 🙌🙌
Real
What worked well here, is that the devs allocated time to prepare the version for the next dev.
No centipede incident here? I haven't watched yet and that's great to hear
A low poly hand AND a centipede? This is truly one of the Blackthornprod videos of all time.
LOL
Fr this is utter perfection
real
They forgot to have Blackthornprod forcibly turn it into a tower defence game.
@@iwantagoodnameplease real
That first dev really nailed a game idea, the project could already be called a game as he left it.
Ayy thank you so much!!
The core game idea was amazing!!!! Prefer the white over the black background
You're right, but overtime the white background can strain your eyes that's why black is preferable@@user-vy1xk6kb3f
@@user-vy1xk6kb3f That's preference. Dark Mode is very popular for a reason, and as a fan of Dark Mode I like the black better. The white also looks really good as well though, so it isn't a completely _black and white_ change; figuratively speaking, of course 😉
@@MrRADicalOfficial Maybe a dark/white mode shifter could be implemented easily due to the simple visuals. But yeah dark mode all the way! :D
This honestly turned out to be one of the better games in the pass the game series, with clean visuals that are still simple to understand. Nobody tried to shove really complex, hard to understand graphics, and the gameplay looks simple but addicting.
Idea, a challenge called "Update", where you take past projects and let new or even the same devs give the game an update, and to see how much farther you can push it.
This is a solid idea. Some of the past games are so good and I wish they would continue to push them on and see what would come of them. Some just end up with lots of potential but no more work done.
This one, for example, is a diamond in the rough I feel, so an update would really help.
We would also spare ourselves from the typical boss fight some devs plug into the game just for it to be “finished”
its sad how they sometimes have such great gems and they get abandoned, some of these games need to hit steam
They did this once with the spider game, would love to see it again!
The superhero game would be peak
Thanks for the invite Noa! I think this is one of the best games to come out of the pass the game challenge recently (although I am biased)!
Bro I loved your additions to the game
no way THE rugbug redfern??
Bro you are the mvp in this project
You took this game to a whole new level!
Pls finish this game
Ayy it was so much fun working on this project! Thanks everybody for watching! ❤
Crushed it my guy! The synergy that followed was so OP
This game looked so good so fast. I think because the initial setup did such a great job setting the scene
Where can I contact you to redeem the prototype?
I was interested in pitching you a game prototype idea, but there is no link in the description.
Always love seeing you on here my dude, def one of my favorite devs.
Thanks for having me back again! This turned out incredible.
This looks like a genuinely fun game, I'll check it out when I can. Epic work!
Loved the way you got the left hand involved! A+ expansion
@@LighthoofDryden Haha glad it was appreciated!
bro clean your keyboard
@@valen5188 one day
It's not a bug, it's a feature !
This theme would be so cool if they went into this game further. Like modifiers, powerups and whatnot
All the devs where so capable and in tune its crazy
YESS JOE SULLY START HYPE!! Such a great foundation, and everyone’s additions were so focused. C l e a n work
Yeah, it seems like having a more solid foundation makes it easier to make better. I've seen the vaguest starting games in this get murky and not as enjoyable as others
YESS
am I the only one who genuinely waits for these vids?
like I seriously enjoy them dude
I do too
you're not alone
sameee
Me too
Me too
One of my favorite pass the game challenges yet. Would love to see if there could be a series where all or some of the devs could revisit the game and add to it because I would love to see this game with more content
Thanks for having me! Love how the project turned out and awesome to see how it got there 🔥
you did great with it :)
You made me laught out loud, pretty funny way to tell things :)
You guys all did great🎉
the goblin jokes were great
You were my favourite developer man! I wish to become a game dev like you one day :')
I feel like it'd be so cool to see pass the game reups, where the concept is flipped and you take an older pass the game project, and give it to a few devs who have to work together and communicate to remake or improve past pass the game challenges in a certain amount of time
That's a fun idea!
I would have just gone with the idea of a second pass the game challenge where they don't communicate, but I think this idea is even better! Could be a great format, as it has a built-in problem so that the video be as much about game-dev as it is about the chaos of problem-solving with people you barely know!
One of the best (if not THE best) pass-the-game challenges so far. Both the outcome was satisfying (the game looks original, clean and addictive) and the team collaboration was on point (nobody tried going against the current and improved on the previous devs work). Great job, everybody!
Why do you treat the game devs like slaves and ghost them for 6 months at a time, while also demanding free work?
This is the BEST pass the game BY FAR. Yall generated a game that I want to watch gameplay of. My god. So good.
Another challenge idea: try to be respectful towards the devs who are basically making free content for you
This is one of the, if not the best pass the game challenge I have seen yet. I honestly hope they spend a little more time on it make it a full game. In fact I’ll probably be willing to pay a few dollars for the game as is (with a global leaderboard)
Dude! Solid project, I’d love to see more work on this as it is super original and awesome bursting with potential, expected something to go wrong but I was greatly surprised. Good Video.
They should really dedicate time for them all to collectively finish out these games as a demo and post it.
Not much time but a week or so.
I like how the first dev made the map open because he thought it was more fun ans the 5th dev added the walls back in
Yeah it makes for less repetitive gameplay, so cool how randomly the walls change
I didn't know it was blank on purpose until I saw this video 😂 I stand by my choices 😊
@@darkroom7409 You made them break and change. Not a map so much as a shifting playspace. That works great!
Would love to see one of these videos but instead it features archery, hope that kind of video gets released soon
Everything looks really nice, only thing I didn't like is the change to a pure black floor. Has no depth(?) to it visually and it makes the black enemy outlines useless
Yeah I hated it
It'd be better if it was slightly greener to fit the theme
You should invite dark room again!
Yeah! They should! ❤
@@darkroom7409 Hello Darkroom!
Agreed! He polished nicely, and had a colab vibe. No ganking etc, just putting in best work he could for it. Did he also name to bosses etc? Reified the theme, there (aka made concrete) (PS Some of us do like the black floor better!)
@@phasein5413 Some hate the black floor :D But you can't please everyone :D
The black background should be optional, felt that made is way worse and harder to see
100% agree
100% Disagree
Should be a light and dark mode maybe?
The best end result I've seen so far - And zero drama! heeeyyy!
The final design ended up looking really cool
How's that viewer retention looking now?
I already miss the giant centipedes.
There was a centipede, bro. You didnt watch the full video
@@GTGaming85 Bro, I watched the vid, and right after I already experienced giant centipede withdrawal symptoms
This worked so well because the first dev had a nice basic idea that was putting an actual core-loop foundation down. More of this please
I would like to see one where you somehow make the order a misery. No one know if they are the first or last person to be working on the game.
So everyone is trying to finish the game in a chaotic race to the finish where no one knows who has started or where’s the end.
Great collab and result. Suggest having a "2 dev pass back" challenge where they iterate back and forth letting them keep evolving for 3 rounds.
Hey bro. You take the free labor of people in your vids then treat them horridly, hows that working for you?
this might be my favorite episode so far
This is so cool, the artstyles finally fir together, it's simple and seems fun asf
This is one of the few challenges where I was happy with all the updates from each person and the game actually looks legit at the end! Well done guys.
every single dev came with HEAT
I weirdly came across this channel a couple of days ago and just randomly watched like 12 of your videos today. These have been absolutely amazing and glad to see another one pop up today!
I love it except for the last dev's decision to switch it to black. I really liked the clean white laboratory look it had before. 😕 (Nothing against the dev though, the rest of his edits were awesome!)
Art is subjective 😊❤ Thanks tho!
I personally prefer the black as I find it easier on the eyes to look at
This game is insane man, it's amazing! So beautiful, so creative, so well done, the core mechanic is just brilliant, and everyone really added to the core really well! I hope this continues to get developed and shipped!
If this game gets shipped, and I'm not as broken then as I am now, I'm totally willing to pay for it! I love the idea of WASD codes to activate abilities! God that's such a good idea!
its very understandable and expected when a pass the game challenge ends up being chaotic or not very finished, but thats all part of the fun you know. but seeing this actually work so well was so cool! everyone did a great job and seemed to use their time and focus exactly right for this to turn out so good
One of the best pass the game challenges! Looking forward to the next one.
These videos make me want to get into game design.
this was amazing, it actually felt like all the devs were actually on the same page and it came out so good gj everyone in this, all the features that were added helped it so much
every time RugBug appears in this challenges he turns it into a "Game" , well done
He is him.
@@mariotheraviolieater4718 Indeed
This one went so well! Nobody added random stupid crap or threw away good work, which is refreshing. There were clear differences of opinion yet the end result was cohesive and really shows everyone's efforts coming together.
Wow, this one turned out great! Super impressive considering how few passes there were. Everyone brought something super important to the table and seemed to instinctively understand both what the previous devs intended and what the future devs could use. You love to see it!
This was one of the best pass the game challenges I've watched, everything from the teamwork, execution, collaboration, no stupid stuff thrown in or unnecessarily removed, everyone came together to make something amazing and we got to see every stage including the play test and post challenge discussion, very entertaining and great job everyone involved!
just opened the channel and a new video nice!
This is certainly one of the cleanest challenges yet, and that has a lot to do with the concise and easily understood framework setup by the first dev that was then enhanced by those that followed. Cheers!
i always had a weird feeling about these videos and the andrew cunningham vid really put things into perspective. i cant speak for others, but i was watching these videos for the devs, not for the host. i really hope you arent treating all of the devs like you did them. unsubbed
Okay, yeah, that has to be one of the best yet. The editing is great, I loved every one of the devs' additions both to the project and to the editing if the video. Keep it up!
I think this video shows how much time is saved when you think ahead to other people editing your code. One of the best pass the game challenges I’ve seen on this channel and you can tell the devs showed some care for eachother
do you think the devs from this video also waited nine months before the video was released?
Thanks @Blackthornprod for having me! Best Game Jam game I've worked on! 😂🎉
This guy. Bring him back!
I liked your part the most. You added a ton of cool visuals and really made the game look polished. I'd be very happy if they invite you again.
You ruined it
@@AllTimeShown Some men just wanna watch the world burn.
@@_blue_carrot Thanks! You're setting me up with expectations that I can't meet :D
Honestly this is very well done, very cool guys! you should continue it and release it together
Really really loved the changes made by Rugbug, terrific idea to add a boss
A wonderful team, each one improving and adding to the game, and making it easier for the next dev to add something! Nobody had to take their time just to fix things, that's a game changer haha. Please more like this one!
I think this is one of the most complete & congruous projects I've seen on this channel in a long time! Great video and I definitely want to play this game!
Well done guys! Was so enjoyable to see how proud everyone was at the end in the discussion. IwWould love to see a part2, where all 5 devs work together and communicate for a day or two, to add some of the things they discussed.
The last dev made such a good job! Nice!
This is definitely a game you load up at dinner and then all of a sudden it's bed time
Absolutely fantastic work from every dev involved, what a sick game! :)
I think a wild game design challenge that would truly warrant the "Bug Edition" title would be to make a requirement the each developer must leave a bug in the game, whether it be something game breaking or just something funny. the devs would be forced to prioritize certain fixes while considering what could be left broken, and the next dev would hopefully make a creative way to either implement or cover up the bug before the next advancement of the game
This is really cool, definitely one of the most impressive end products I've seen on the channel. Good work everyone involved!
Every single dev here needs invited back for sure!
I love these glad for another
loved your content.. tried out 1 game and have been getting spam emails by a bot ever since tryign to make me sing up for a course or smth-- truly a channel of all time
Another banger from the pass the game challenge, but I don't think I've ever seen all 5 devs so laser focused on the task. Well done all devs, and happy to see some of you come back :)
This is the best game I've seen in this series, each dev poured their souls into it. Cant imagine how that Vitaly guy would have absolutely obliterated this
Super cool stuff you guys are doing
this has to be one of the best challenges you've made, everyone was fantastic
Good job! Looks fun.
the past few pass the game challenges have been phenomenal, keep it up!!!!
I’m so hyped for the next part of the 100 devs make a game. I’m def gonna get it even if it’s put behind a paywall. It sounds so much fin
This is one of those results I think would be an amazing candidate for a "5 Devs _Complete_ the Game" challenge. 😛
The core game is there. It just needs content.
Amazing video! Everyone did a great job at mak8ng the game! Awesome❤❤
Also great editing🔥🔥
This was really good, love the "final" game (Hopefully one or more of you build it out more because I want to play a full version)
Love your content !! pleeeease.. where's the other videos of 100 dev together ??? thanks a lot for all this amazing videos!
I love how every dev took time to help future devs do their thing
Beat of these in a LONG time. Everyone handled it super well, it was great to watch people pass the ball and build together.
You're all incredibly talented game devs, Props to all of you. Very entertaining to watch!
Ayy. Very glad to be early to watch thos fantastic series 💪
This is quite possibly one of the best games to come out of this series. Genuinely impressive how it simply became better and better in every aspect as it was passed from developer to developer. Great video!
This is easily the best pass the project challenge, all the devs felt like they were on the same wavelength, and the game came out amazing
this is worth continuing
Man once again such an insane game, really love these videos! keep them up!
Definitely one of the best pass the project results, and this time all 5 devs were amazing. Kudos to all! This game could legit be big if its completed
this is for sure one of my favorits and its very well polished
I really love these videos! Well done, everyone!
These devs are great. So happy that we finally got an episode with consistency and GREAT Devs. Epic stuff
Damn this one came together super well. Each dev did a great job adding on to it, and the computer bug theme at the end was a great bit of polish by Darkroom!
This turned out awesome! Love to see it. Gonna have to give it a go.
I'm really looking forward to next part of the 100 devs create a game series :)
It would be cool to add dark mode and light mode so you can change it to white if you want, a cool idea for a boss could also be a centipede train where once you kill it it spawns random enemies
patiently waiting for the next 100 devs series 😬
Always happy when another video comes out. Thanks guys :)
By far the best in the series, everyone built on top and went in the same direction!
