Thank you for this video! Had the bulb go out in my wife's 2003 Sentra awhile back and finally got tired of using a flashlight just to confirm what gear we were in. Now we're back in business.
Dude great job on this video. I was at a loss trying to get the silver "push button" back on the shifter until I listened to your detailed instruction on lifting up the handle and then inserting. Saved me after about 30mins of frustration trying to figure out what I was doing wrong!
Thanks David. By posting this you've made life much easier for me or anyone else replacing the bulb. With the video I had the nerve to do this and it was easy although demanding a fair bit of manual dexterity. Like another poster said you have got to love the internet and the way DIY is so much easier.
Thanks for the video man. The only part I had a hard time following was the part where you said you need to take the sifter knob off. The video never showed it so I had to go back to that a few times before I realized you had to do that, but otherwise you saved me time and money by making this. I was able to do this at night in my driveway with my kid holding a flashlight. Not as skethcy as I thought it was going to be. Thanks again
hi James, my pleasure. it's the reason why I spend the time to make these videos to help people save some money. sadly I've have not made any videos as of late bc the car is darn reliable.
Thanks for making and posting this video. I would have struggled to find the way in. Getting inside the console was pretty easy but I had a little problem getting to, and actually replacing, the bulb. In my case, the bulb socket popped out of the bottom side of the inner black plastic section (seen at around 7:08) as soon as I started to pull up on the silver plastic piece. Getting it back in there was a struggle though because the wires are very short. Anyway, Thanks!
i have a 2005 sentra and my light went out.......... now i know what the problem is.......... thanks alot.............. on my way to get some bulbs now...........
I want to replace my shiftknob but the over drive wires are on the way can I just cut it and leave it? I dont use my overdrive button anyways. Will I get a check engine light if I do it?
If you pull that little thing that says shift lock there’s a plug there is done on that before you pull that up I will see if y’all to headaches of this video
Next time quit moving the camera away from the object of the video. You kept moving the camera away from the object you were trying to fix. Very annoying. Otherwise an OK video
He should have watched vids and removed gear knob. His jod should have been much easier. Also use pincher pliers with tape around tips to pull out and re insert bulb.
I get dizzy trying to watch this shaky video. Try putting your camera somewhere stationary and point it at what you are actually trying to film instead of shaking the camera all over the place. Really hard to watch.

I have a 15 Sentra, where exactly can I find the fuse for the gear lights before I go through this process?
Before re-installing, did anyone take a moment to whether the new lamp was actually working. Remember Murphy's Law!
????

Wow. Nice presentation.
Thanks! Hope the video helped you out.
Thank you 🙌
I have the exact same problem. Which fuse should I check for in this case?
Easy instructions

Is there anyway to remove the shift knob? I need to replace the top shift cover which printed with numbers on top.
Yes, from what I remember, there are two screws facing the front of the car which mount the knob to the shifter itself.
I wouldn't recomend destroying the Overdrive in the Shifter like that. But the rest of it it pretty accurate.
Why does the shifter area from this one look way different?? Are you sure this isnt like a 1999 ? Or is this the GLE 2002 ?
Mine is US version 2002 sentra GXE, not sure about yours.
Thank u !
This work for 2001 Nissan Sentra se sir ??
Mine is a 2022 sentra gxe with the 1.8L engine.
@@RoadeoCowboy okay I need find a video for mi car. Thanks
What can I do if my Nissan is stuck in reverse
Jevin Martinez there's a shift knob bypass on the top, just wedge something long and skinny and pull the tab out.
Ok I'll give it a try
Damn, I think I'll pay somebody!

Yes for most cars that is the case, but that doesn't work for this model sentra.
Are you wearing heels?

After watching this video, I think I will sent it to the workshop and let the mechanic do it...
