Towing a trailer? I've never really look for a capacity on the combined weight but it tows that trailer and mini/skid combo just fine. That trailer with those two pieces weighs about 18000. I've towed it with 6 or 7 tons in the bed of the dump truck. Slow going up hills but i got there.
@@ExpressExteriorsLLC Getting a CDL has become more difficult with the new ELDT training required. I got mine before that law went into effect. Still if you need to drive a big truck you need a CDL, so just bite the bullet and go to the training class and get the license.
another thing u can do to make your edges a little nicer is with your hoe sitting in the driveway and swing over with your bucket cutting edge and on your paint line knife down with your cuting edge of your bucket and just slice through that sod then track a little farther and knife down again and just do that all the way down your paint line. think of it like using a pizza cutter. so that way when you hop back in line to dig like u did in the video that stupid sod wont chunk out on you like it did making the edge look jagged in a few spots.
@@windzer thanks for the tip! Appreciate you watching and commenting! I've seen some of those mecalac machines used in Europe and they have all sorts of attachments and one is a steel disk pizza cutter they use to cut asphalt before peeling it away! Probably a little overkill for sod but I'll try your method. I went along with skid bucket and hand and picked out a few big chunks.
@NealORussa yea those mecalacs are pretty sweet wish those were seen more over here in the states along with tilt rotators id like to try out one of those sometime. normally I'm doing sewer and water main work. so I'd never really get a chance to use either one cause everthing I do is to deep or would be to rough on a tilt rotator I doubt they would hold up to pulling trench boxes lol

@@NealORussarequires cdl im guessing?
@@ExpressExteriorsLLC Yes the truck requires a cdl because it is over 26k gvwr.
I’m considering to be able to do the same, but many people make it seem like it’s a huge pita, is that your experience also?

No matter how you done this job someone will judge you lol at the end of the day if the customer is happy and you get paid it doesn't matter.

I bid all work by the job. Hourly is a liability for the contractor and the customer.
