oooooh is the kids reaction in unison lol ! Keep making those memories ! Nats, Mosquitoes and biting horse flies ....definitely bring some deep woods off and a screened shelter if you have one. Food looks amazing ! I'm a Texas Girl ! Camped on the coast most of my life, love it !

Great vid! Any problems driving in the sand? How far down did you go?

@@rickdougherty1371 thank you for watching Rick! We only drove about 5 mi in from the entrance. We had no trouble whatsoever in the sand, but I do have all-terrain tires and four-wheel drive engaged at the time. The softest section we ran across was at the entrance itself where I saw a few people struggle. If by chance you don't have four-wheel drive once you get past the entrance if you get there at low tide you shouldn't have any issues. We originally had planned on going further down, but since there was no one camping in this section we decided to stay here. This was the perfect time of year to go and get away. The temperature these two nights were 85° and the wind was pretty calm for the most part. The water however, was probably about 65. I don't know that you would plan on swimming.
