Good morning ! Mustang Island State Park looks like a very nice beach to camp at, or just spend the day. Campsites were nice, but like you said, on some, your picnic table would be on the wrong side of your RV door. Restroom and shower building was very clean and neat looking. Beautiful wide beach, and the covered picnic tables on the beach was very nice. Primitive camping, was cool. I wonder if you can have fires on the beach, if you are camping there. This is not bad, with electric, only $20 per nite. Good find ! vicky
@@LivingOurDreamNow lol, 4:30 weekdays, and weekends by 5-5:30 ....I like the quiet time, and watching the sunrises !! (either , Corolla Light resorts webcam, or First Light InSite live video from St Augustine fla.) lol Have a great day
The pink granite comes from Marble Falls, Tx I believe. The Burnet County area is been my home most my life but I live Port Aransas and Mustang Island in general.
Haha, this is close to my turf. Our family was just out there in June, in Port Aransas. I saw a nice RV park in Port A with tiki areas at each slot. But boy it looked super crowded. I doubt believe I would enjoy that.
Really nice park! Loved the jetty. Is it really on on the wrong side or are they set up one back in and the other pull in? We saw that at a state park in Florida, Savanna Preserve. It allowed for drivable RVs to have a nice water view out their front window. That would make the pull in really only advantageous for drivable RVs.
Not sure, but Melody and I did visit the Savanna Recreation Area in Florida last month. A video is forthcoming. It is indeed an awesome county park, affordable, and close to the Atlantic beaches. Thanks for watching! Lou
Thank you for taking us along. I love listening to waves.
You are so welcome. Thank you for watching! Lou
I agree, the last one at the end is the best site in park. A long walk to the restrooms, but who cares, when you have all day to get there. Lol.

You crack me up Vicky. Encountered unbelievable heavy rain in Florida today. Life on the road . . . I guess.
Two RVs traveling together might like having the picnic tables back to back, even if one has to walk around.
Never thought of that - thank you for contributing and thanks for watching. Lou

@@edwardtesterman9772 I’ve stayed on mustang island many times. You can stay on the beach for free if you like. Yes you can have fires on the beach!

Thanks for this supplemental information Frankie. Lou

Thanks for following our travels. Be sure to catch our upcoming videos on camping in West Virginia. Three additional videos will post soon. Lou
We must have been there same time. Just left yesterday.
My video publishing process has a slight lag, so we probably were not at this park at the same time. Thanks for watching! Lou

Awesome video! I have visited Mustang Island on my channel!

I'll check it out!
@@LivingOurDreamNow Thanks!
Those are natural gas production wells out in the water.
Good additional information. Thanks for watching! Lou
I had site #5, and pulled the whole yellow pole out with the back of my Class A.
Oh my - hope you didn't damage your rig.
@@LivingOurDreamNow Fortunately, just a couple yellow paint streaks on my bumper.
Are those campsite only for rv ? Could I go for a night and park my explorer there?
If you are car/SUV camping, you are likely okay. However, I would call the ranger station at the park to verify. Thanks for watching. Lou
