I really like the silver line. Love the metal chassis & plastic wheels & love the full detailing. I hate the case mix, it's horrendous and the chase but not really a chase cars needs to stop. If I buy a case I expect to get at least one full set. Definitely prefer tampos over the dot matrix, but at approx. $3 apiece I don't mind either way. On a $70+ RLC the dot matrix doesn't fly with me.
Found 4 out of 5 of these at my local supermarket (of course the Nissan R35 was missing) , the Porsche 911 GT3, the BMW CSL and the Shelby GT 500 are my most favorites, but they all look nice. Overall a cool set, and i dig the "Silver" line as well. Thanks for the presentation Champ!
The set hit Walmart in plentiful super quantities but the 2 white cars (Supra & GTR) were most desirable hence always missing. 10 car sets with of course only 1 each of the white cars. I was fortunate to get to Walmart at 6am and was first (if you aren’t first you are last) to 4 cases so I was able to get 4 full sets for all 4 people I collect for. Since then I’ve found 2 more sets of each of the 2 white cars so now have openers.
Thanks for the review, I’m happy to pay the $3 for the sharper tampos and especially metal bases. I’ll pick up a set if I can find them at my Wally World
I like the set. I only got the Porsche, it was the only one there. The bmw is a peg warmer where i live. Dont know if i will pick up any other one. Great video
That's a nice set. I found the BMW,Porsche, and Shelby about a couple weeks ago at my Walmart. But like you said no Supra or R35. And actually the 3 I found are my favorites. It's hard to pick one of the 3,but the BMW and Shelby are very nice.
1:26 I'm usually willing to be patient in the assumption that I will eventually find an entire set. These sets of cars are often scarce at first, but eventually Mattel will flood the market. But countering my optimism is the fact that the wagons (the first silver set?) have been dropping for months and months, and those white Datsun wagons are still always missing! I eventually found a couple, but I was starting to get worried.
I never seem to see any of the Walmart silver series in my area, so it's great for you to do a product review. Not interested in any of the castings so I won't be getting any, thanks for sharing 😀👍 ps was the GTR in the Nissan four casting diorama set?
It doesn’t look terrible all the time but it does look pretty bad a lot of the time. Thankfully i can still see really well up close… no bifocals for me yet!

Vibe from my Walmarts is that they've been totally clogged with the Porsche set for months, and never received anything more current. Walmart totally botching their exclusives. Absolutely shocking. Boulevard's been a nonexistent line for over 2 years for me.
I was stoked to get all 5 cars, grabbed this set as soon as hit the shelf. I just happened to be there when it was put on the pegs, havn't seen anymore since.😏

Yeah using that type of printing on RLC cars is ridiculous

Probably a bit of blended margin going on.
They probably pick those I would say overrated car that are filled with fanboys so the fanboy-R and bmw supra gets the subtle “exclusive” metal base.

i would pay a couple extra bucks for the shelby compared to a mainline car that costs 1 dollar

Funnily enough, Gran Turismo hasn't had that particular GT500 in any game. They did make the Shelby GT350R though.

In Walmart, the BMW, Porsche, and Mustangs are always the ones left while the GTR and Supra are always taken. Got all of them though.
I have been enjoying the silver line a lot so far. From this set, my favourite is the Mustang, with the BMW a close second.
The Mustang seems to be a peg warmer but I think it looks excellent!
