I enjoy the new format of videos and I think this is one of the best you've done. More in depth and it seems more thought went into it before you started recording. I'm sure the more you get used to the format the better the videos you'll put out. Thanks.
These aren't bad. The one thing I noticed is it doesn't have side mirrors like most of the other. I rather stick to Tarmac or Mini GT which is my favorite. Now if they do a Mopar of some sorts I'm all in. Thank for the great video.
Thanks for the shout out as always. I think I sent the mustang as well. As far as the numbers they have been out of order since the first release as you noted. It’s a weird but cool set. Like you I’m a completist and for the price it works. I’ll continue to get them and thus far the Datsun is tops for me. I don’t compare them to other brands just enjoy them as lower minor league premium Hot Wheels. Not Fake just lower minor league. 😂
I like this line a lot. If it was created to compete with MiniGT, Tarmac Works etc, I think HWs missed the mark because those other brands look way better & MiniGT usually costs less, imo. But they also don't have opening/removable parts or cambrred suspensions. I haven't gotten the Porsche yet, I plan on getting that one when i get the Bugatti. My favorite is the Benz, least fav the Audi. Audi is well done and a very nice casting but imo its the most comparable to something like a MiniGT and with no special features, I feel it should be priced like a MiniGT around $12-$15usd. The 280zx is really nice.
I'm not sure that they were really intending on competing with other brands that do premium cars. I think they just wanted to try this concept because the collector of the day is open to spending more money on a detailed model. Which yes, brands like MiniGT and Inno64 paved the way for that.
I love this car. I wasn’t to excited about it at first but when I opened I was fucking stoked. I love the stance of the wheels. I could do without the logos but I should’ve got two so I could customize one. I do have the Lamborghini and Mattel lost my 928 but it’s on the way finally. Great video and have a good day sir.
My favorite is actually the Datsun Z car. I do like the Audi and Defender. With the exception of the Lambo, I did pick up the others and added them to my collection.
It was a preorder because it was not in stock at the warehouse yet. The entire production run had already been completed otherwise if it was MTO it takes a lot longer. The cambered wheels are done by using 4 separate axles. Mark Jones told Lamley at the convention when the Chaser was previewed
I’ve been bored lately, so I posted a few diecast videos. But I’d rather be watching yours! I’m glad you’ve kept up a good output after quitting the weeklies, thank you. I’m so sour on HW…. The McDonald’s of diecast…. To me the Elite64 is about as elite as eating a Big Mac instead of a quarter pounder. 🤷♂️ Compared to their competitors, they’re just not worth the price. HW 100% was 100% better.
Very interesting looking hot wheels elite series 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ that would be an interesting video we are wanting to see your autoworld vault room ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
It's not true scale and I'm kinda mad about that. I opened both my examples thinking they were, but when I compared them to an Inno64, it wasn't even close. I have the Mercedes, Lambo, and Chaser and they are true scale or very close. I was under the impression that that was a selling point for this line and they would all be true scale. Very disappointed unfortunately.
Yeah it would have been nice if it was closer. When I do the vid I have planned for all of the 1st and 2nd gen Zs, eventually, I will get into the nitty gritty of the scale accuracy.
I want to support the Elite 64 line but the lineup has just not been my cup of tea for the most part. So far, only have the Aventador and Chaser. I'm on the fence on whether to purchase this 280ZX or not. If it had come with side mirrors, I would've jumped on it. But without them...I'm on the fence. Perhaps I'm being petty, but considering it's a 2024 release and the price being $20 + tax & shipping, I really wanted that side mirror detail... Would absolutely like to see a comparison with the 100% Hot Wheels line. Or even just a overall look at the 100% line from a 2024 viewpoint.
Side mirrors would have been an alright add.. however, they are so tiny on this car that I don't think that we are missing much without them being there.
I do like them, but didn't want to go down another rabbit hole.... 🚫🕳🐇 Don't know if you've mentioned, that all the wheels and tires, are exclusive to the models.
For Hotwheels buyers is a very nicely done model, i gotta give it that.... BUUT if you're sailing other seas, the kaido house one is unbeatable.
HW gets the crumb-sized brownie point over Kaido House for tackling the 280ZX tbh, I'd give them that atleast.

The Datsun 280ZX was my first Elite 64 car and I love it. Looking forward to adding more to my collection. Oh, and great video by the way 😊

Tarmac have the liberty walk challenger and the dodge van
The Elite 64. Datsun. ZX. is. Pretty darn. Great

I think the Mustang looks great!
Wonder how it'd scale with the Grachan 240Zs. Most brands could care less about the 280 except for the 2+2 TLVN did.
I like the Elite 64 a lot…. I look for these to make it but not so sure about their 1/43 cars 😊
Very cool video championdjk
Omg your not first you slacking
I got all of the Elite 1/64 except the Mercedes. I have 3 RLC models of the same Mercedes
The only one I have is the lambo. And the other one I considered buying was the Z but I would rather stay with Kaido House.
The Kaido Z's are beautiful... especially the first two versions of it.
Best so far
We're they sell them at ?because I never seen them in walmart or target in stuff like that?
Online at the Mattel creations site
i don't get why this doesn't have side mirrors, but the rest do?
Championdjk, somehow I think an Elite 64 Skyline or Porsche will sell out instantly and be resold immediately on the secondary market!
Yeah I don't think that is a stretch!
@@Championdjk great review as before, I've got most of these. Looking forward to your review on the Bugatti.
Kinda wish I would have picked up the Mercedes

Mustang is the only one I skipped on
not really a fan of this line although i do have the chaser, which i like
but that z looks like the best one so far
am off to order one
