My rule of thumb for purchasing multi packs is if the majority of the castings are cool or if it contains one exclusive I really want I’ll pick it up. I know I’m Never gonna get a pack full of coveted castings but usually there’s enough value to justify the price especially considering there is no shipping involved lol. Thanks for the vid. Wow, I need that 5 pack. I collect 3 of the 5 castings and I have bought plenty of 5 packs for just a single car. I open them take the 1 car I want and donate the rest.
Nice! I like the Mach 1. I might pick up that 5 pack if I see it. I got that Import six pack on amazon, but later found it at Barnes and Noble, too. They wanted $25. I paid too much on amazon but it was really early on.

I think I honestly prefer the diorama sets. While there are never throw away cars in the 6 packs there are often cars I certainly don’t collect that just get put away. Overall I prefer premium cars so the dioramas win for me though there are ones I completely avoid like the last Jay Leno set. For me to buy the diorama set 2 of the 4 must be vehicles I seriously want. I have also recently acquired some older sets in which a local buddy of mine split the cars. We did that with the Black Hole set as I only wanted the 55 Gasser.
I've got the JDM set and said the same thing about the price, if sold individually it's close to the same price.
It's hard to believe that these things have been on the market for over half a century! Back in the day, you could also buy Hot Wheels track, with joiners to hold sections together (each section was roughly two feet long). There were clamps to attach the track to furniture, windowsills, or whatever. There were special accessories for stunts like curves, loops, jump ramps, etc. There were also trestles, so you could build a bridge. Does anyone make these anymore?

They still sell the tracks those always sell out fast and they’re not as long as when I was a kid but they still make them some people still love to race them.
I found that silver 6 pack and thought it was good value at $29 Au considering all the cars had a metal base. But now I see another silver 6 pack like it for the same price (Euro car theme) and all cars have a plastic base. That diorama set is the second best after the white R32, R33, R34 set. I had stopped buying them for $37 Au, but that Porsche set I was lucky enough to find and bought it.
Some mainlines are nicer than the Silver series. So HW & MB mainlines are the best value

i like and collect the dioramas, but you need to be picky
there expensive and there are less desirable sets
just grab the ones you really like

Hey Dave another great show. By the way the Brumos Porsche is also a new casting of the Porsche 935, that’s the Slantnose. It’s the third iteration of the 935 made by HotWheels, And I actually like the Erikenstein. Erik Ken Stein. but I assure you I’m not crazy, just crazy about ratrods.

You obviously forgot the 5 packs of nisan mustang corvette fast n furious and so on and on . Why are you making videos a d trying to educate people if u can't even say what's available.
I bought the 6 pack as a pre-order from EE forgetting they always show up on the shelves of B & N. I haven’t opened it yet. I also just got the new Euro set. It’s buried in that stack of boxes I have yet to open. I think these sets are a good deal as I never think any of the cars are throw aways.
The Porsches are the only ones I like, but these sets cost too much.
