i left a comment in the build video that i would not have added the office. i thought it was going too be on the main garage floor. glad it was on the side so it did not take up floor space. nice job.
So glad I found your videos. I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to decide on a shop size. I think you sold me on a 40x40. Seems like a great size, even better than the 30x50 I was leaving towards!
Just something I've learned from the different shops I've been in don't know your climate/location...but if u use foam board to drop the ceiling in the shop to the bottom of the trusses it'll be easier to heat and cool! But very nice setup! I'm looking at building something similar in the future!

I'm looking at having a pole barn built next year. Hopefully wood prices come down by then! A couple questions....why did you choose a 40x40 square shape as opposed to a 30x56 rectangle shape?
That is a good question. I really didn’t think of that. I had a 32 x 50 before and thought I would just make this one a little wider and build a separate office. My last shop I tuned the back area into a office and had a lot of unused ceiling space. thanks for checking out

Go 40x50 I wish I had. I have a 40x40x14 and fixing to add a another 20x40 on the back.
