I like the building.....I would if liked to see more overhang of the roofline soffet and fascia over the building....looks like you did a 12" inch overhang...I think the building would of been more protected and looked nicer with a 16"-20" overhang.
Ya I get what you mean, although i'm not too terribly worried about the protection of the building because i'm going to add 12ft wide lean-to's on each side of the shop within the next year or two.
Very nice work. Great to see a build in the PNW get get a better idea about costs. I see your concrete work came in at just over $10/sqft. I'm in SW WA, and the bids I'm getting for an almost identical job are at $15 - $20/sqft ! Crazy !
I think even $10/sqft is nuts for a something that is considered rough labour, even easier than framing. I got a quote on a pour a slab for a new 24x36 shop. Got quoted $12,000 for the concrete & labour These guys are on crack. I build high end kitchen cabinets and don't charge near that day-rate.
Who did you order your snow from? We could sure use some down here in Florida right now. All kidding aside, I’m planning on a metal building in the not too distant future and your video widened my scope of what I need to plan for. Great YT vid. I guess the most important two things I picked up are: Know your limitations. And it’s good to have friends with skills. Thanks for sharing.🤙 God bless.
Is this stick built better than a pole barn? You could do the additions with a pole barn and use a cantilever truss. The attachment to the building needs to be very strong so it does not get ripped off. I'm not sure how it is done but I think there should be a plate installed inside the wall and bolts that go all the way through.

Congrats on your shop, man. I’m building a 56x40 in Redmond right now
Nothing cheap these days !!!! But it is a must
Thanks for that. It’s gonna hurt to get my shop in but I really need and dream of having my space.
Glad you got something out of this. Nothing like having a nice shop for your work space!

What did you use for plans, how did you come up with the design?
And people who have liked your video and watched it.😮😊
so they toe nailed the studs to the bottom plate ? why did they go that route?
Toe nailing is a lot better

would it be about right to add 30K to paid for your labor. just getting a cost of the bill?
Yeah I would say that would be a pretty good guess for what a contractor would charge to do all of the labor that I did.
@@stayystoked glad i work cheap.

Nice work . I'm a custom painter for cars and trucks.. I'll travel for a good job on a car or truck. Later
Don’t forget the siding.
Hey I’m building a almost identical shop with the same size doors was wondering how you like those openers
Once I got the faulty one replace I love them. Super quiet and fast opening and closing. Would recommend for sure
Awesome thanks. I’ll give them a try
I'm assuming you did 12x12 garage doors how much room do you have between garage door and sidewalls
@@ritchieferguson1854 the doors are 12 wide by 14 tall. And the outside and middle columns are 2 feet wide.
How tall was this? Nice building for sure!
@@MrSrtman18 the top of the walls are 14ft, in order to make the garage doors 12ft.
What is the sidewall height?
16ft
What roof panels are those?
Skyline ridge is the name of the style. 2”
Are u in Bend or Lapine?
This is a bargain price of $50 per sq feet build.
