    This sequence is among the best of the entire series. I haven't felt like this in a Zelda game since getting to the moon in Majora's Mask, an ethereal experience.

      Couldn't agree more. This was my first temple, (Thank god I got Tulin First) and this just set the bar for me more the rest of the game. I Could tell Nintendo really wanted to make Dungeons feel more like Dungeons and an entrance like this is epic.

    Hot damn! The buildup to this dungeon was incredible! I loved everything about it! I'm a sucker for lore, so hearing all the stories of the ark, and having the game slowly build up to it's discovery as the dungeon was out of this world. It was so surreal climbing higher and higher for so long, constantly wondering how much higher it is, and how high up I've come so far. Then the dive into the top of the cloud, and the music that couples up with the silhouette of the ark that you've been hearing about shows itself to this epic orchestra complete with the title Wind Temple. (Chef's kiss) Absolutely perfect! It also helps that in my opinion Tullin is the best companion of the four, and the temple itself is awesome. Great music, great puzzles, and an epic buildup to a badass boss fight that takes place in the air. THIS is how you do a Zelda dungeon. Well done Zelda dev team! I do think this will go down as one of my all time favs!

  • @orange_turtle3412
    @orange_turtle3412 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    That one second at the peak of the final jump is awesome. Where the music entirely cuts out for a second and everything sorta just momentarily fades away. No ancient powers of good and evil, no torrential blizzard ravaging the land. For that one second of silence at the peak of the jump its just you alone with the beautiful view of the world below you. Then you dive back down and the music starts to swell again.

    The whole time I was climbing up to the Wind Temple, I just kept finding myself thinking "How much higher up is it?" and "How high have I climbed?" I also saved quite regularly in case I made a mistake, seeing as it was so high up! One wrong slip, and down you go, where you get to start over! It was a cool segment to me, though, and made the Wind Temple stand out. You had to WORK to get to it!

    • @IRNINJ4
      @IRNINJ4  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah! There was that crazy long climb just to get to the jumping sails. I had similar thoughts going up lol " man high does this go" " would suck to run out of stamina..." but it just keeps going higher and higher lol. It is most definitely a standout segment of any Zelda game at this point. Such fun and fantastic way to start the game. ( assuming you went here first). I wonder how many people went here first too? It seems like a lot. I'm not sure why I chose it first. Maybe because it was closest? Did you go here first? If so why?

    • @19TheFallen
      @19TheFallen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@IRNINJ4 Well.....Wind Temple was actually the third I went to.....The order I went was Water, Fire, Wind, Lightning and Spirit. But after seeing and using Tulin's ability, I found myself kind of wishing I'd done the Wind Temple first......There were multiple times where it would've come in handy prior to getting it! But in regards to why I went in the order I went...well...Mipha and Sidon were my favorite of the bunch in Breath of the Wild, so I opted to go to the aid of the Zora first in Tears of the Kingdom. I opted to go to the Lightning Temple as late as possible due to my experience with Thunderblight, which made me suspect that they were likely saving something truly headache inducing as the boss for that temple! Something I found to be true, at least in my case, seeing as Queen Gibdo was the only boss out of the four (technically five, if you throw in the Seized Construct from Spirit Temple) to challenge me, and was the only boss of them all to kill me multiple times. But when it came to the others, it was more a case of doing whichever one was closest, and seeing as Death Mountain was closer to Zora's Domain upon my completing the Water Temple than Rito Village, the Fire Temple, it was.......

    • @19TheFallen
      @19TheFallen ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, and I just remembered something you might get a kick out of......When I was headed to the Water Temple, and I got to that part where Sidon creates a whirlpool that leads to that underground area........I only had one Bomb Flower with me.....Something I didn't notice until I was already down there. But, I was stubborn and refused to leave simply to get more! So......I used Ultrahand to make this humongous bridge out of all the wooden planks or platforms floating around in the room, tilted it to the right angle and plopped it down before using it to climb up to the central console of the chamber.

    Wow. Just ... wow. The way the soundtrack starts off as a simple, quiet melody that starts adding instruments as you climb to the top, slowly building until you dive down into the whirlwind -- at which point it's a full symphony. The intensity! And the way the name of the dungeon appears is just icing on the cake. I can only imagine what that experience was like for young Tulin, realizing that the legend of the Stormwind Ark was real.

    The buildup, the moment where you go over the clouds, and then the magnificent music when you jump inside the cloud storm. It's simply perfection. It's a shame that the actual temple was a dissapointment, it follows the "divine beast" template which isn't that great. This could have been one of, if not the best temple in the series if the actual temple was as good as the buildup. Still, the whole climb section is so good that it deserves recognition and a place amongst the top

Repeat a few more times then fight boss. These dungeons pale in comparison to the labyrinthine dungeons in the older Zelda games.
