1. You have a HP computer? This is stuck during startup again? What was the result again of the HDD scan? 2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey Hello. Yes, it is a hp compute I bought at walmart a few years back. Thank you for responding. My computer did recently go through an overnight update but after that update there was indeed a liquid spill near my computer but I did not see much water on my labptop or under it. It was fine before I went outside after the spill and then when I came back in and tried to use it, it said there was no operating system in it. It could not do the scan. I can take pictures if you'd like. Also, there are only two screws that I did take out but still couldn't get my access to the hard drive to reset it.
@@EqualiGirl 1. Why could you not do the scan? What happened when you tried? 2. Just so you know, liquid spill situations can be hard to troubleshoot just one issue as multiple different components and boards including the motherboard itself, could all be faulty. After a liquid spill, you want to first make sure the computer is 100% dry. You would turn your computer off immediately by pressing and holding the power button until the computer turns off. Then you would disassemble the computer as much as your comfortable with, at least trying to remove the bottom case. Then you would turn it on its side and let dry for a couple days. Have you done this yet or are you sure the computer is dry?
@PC_Monkey I will try to turb my computer on in a few days then but I couldn't even get the back off to take anything out. It said no operating system was available. Please download an operating system.

After the quick hard drive check I had the "no hard disk detect", i was thinking of opening my laptop to reconnect the hard drive but read the first comment of someone who had the same problem, so i went for f10 and it didn' t even sent me to the BIOS, It was as if i was just finishing to set up Windows and now it's working perfectly. Thank You So Much! ❤ If you can shed some light on what happen that would be even greater, TY
You just gained a sub, i know its a small token, but your vids are good. Straight to the point, so many help vids add annoying bloat, idk if its to make them feel validated or what, but thank you
Thank you I’ve bin looking all over TH-cam something that would help but none of them mention the bios clock that’s the second I changed that my computer booted prefect👌
Something I would like to add. My HP Elitebook 8570p suddenly did not read the hard drive with a continuous 3F0 error. Suddenly it will "see" the hard drive, boot and all of a sudden bomb out and give the 3F0 error. Tried every possible fix I could lay my hands on, latest Bios, replaced hard drives, etc but to no avail. Laptop ready for the dustbin, then I saw an article where someone said to ensure that you check and replace the heatsink every two years. Took my laptop to a PC shop and asked the guys to please check and replace the heatsink to see if it will not resolve the problem. Low and behold I was standing next to the technician when he removed the heatsink tube. The dollop of old heatsink on the CPU is the smallest I ever saw in my life. Also looked like dried toothpaste. Cleaned everything properly, new heatsink and assembled the laptop. Few bucks later and my laptop is running perfect, no more 3F0 errors. Also CPU below 65 degrees max where HP South Africa said 75 degrees is normal. Maybe this can also help someone before they discard their laptops as "scrap".
my guy I was about to give up on my info from the hard drive from my dead laptop, currently on disc check but I'm optimistic, changed "legacy" settings notlw it's starting to behave like a PC I know minding that I'm used to desktop. big ups 👍
Thanks man, my all important data back. Really thank you for your advise. First i was like, i lost all my data, i tried many methods from online, not a single of them worked. But at the end found your video on random search, i my problem got solved. Thanks a lot. ☺️

@@PC_MonkeyYes, an HO. Hard drive check says no hard drive installed. Changed Legacy Support, F11 tosses me back to F2
@@kathrynm7932 That means your Hard Drive is either bad or loose. I would first try 'reseating' the Hard Drive. That is where you unplug it and then plug it back in, making sure its properly plugged in and secure. Try the scan again. If it still says that its not installed, then its most likely bad and needs to be replaced. You can see how to do that here; th-cam.com/video/tNp5Kbo9uHg/w-d-xo.html. You would also then need to install an operating system onto the new one as shown here; th-cam.com/video/p_N_xV7j_Xo/w-d-xo.html. You can create your own Install Media for free as seen here; th-cam.com/video/g_UhiHScaSI/w-d-xo.html. Thank you so much, I had the clock ticking sound and it was saying no hard detect. I disabled the legacy mode in the bios of my hp laptop and now everything is fine

You and God are life savers!!! I am literally having one of the worst days of my life, go outside to calm an anxiety attack, come back inside, and my computer is saying I have no hard drive installed!!! Thank everyone who was a part of me learning to check the internet because I found your video and was able to change my uefi setting (I didn't have legacy but I had three different uefi settings) and switching them worked!
Thank you so much for making this video!!!! First hallelujah that has ever come out of me.
Sighs. My computer started freezing and now is back at rhe so not have a boot drive screen
Please download an operating system.
thank you, ive spent like 4-5 hrs. without finding the solution and now I'm installing windows at 2:15 am

Thank you so much for the video. The only tutorial that works on my laptop 😭
