Many of you chimed in that you can in fact use higher resolution in QuickShots while flying by tapping the 3 dot menu button on right top... thank you! I hope DJI will make the option more consistent similar to how you change resolution in the regular video mode screen. Hey Dustin, I’m trying to decide whether to get the mavic mini 1 or 2. Is the second one really worth the extra money?
For the 4K video and Ocusync 2 technology upgrades.. I think so. Depends on if the better resolution and signal/range quality are something that matters to you 🍻

I purchased my mini 2 drone and combo on Friday. It's now Tuesday and very happy. This is my 4th drone and the best . Mini 2 drone is easy to use and makes good photos and videos . I was interested in Air 2 but price and my 1 year experience, Mini 2 is good for all my drone ✈ flights, it's small, light and good for people retired. I was bored and now have a good hobby. Each day I wake up early, then check the weather. Then I will go flying like an eagle. It doesn't matter what age you are and what you do for entertainment. I say do it, be safe and enjoy life. Thanks to people like yourself, you help people with your experience and knowledge. Dustin, I will keep watching your reviews.

also incase any of you cats don't know, that fn button upper left quickly sets the gamble straight down or straight forward. really a function I've found useful
FYI: You can record in 4k in the Quick Shot modes by going to the top right "three dot" menu and change it back to 4k within there. Hopefully DJI will change that in a future update!?

Yea.. every mode can be adjusted. The thing is, that you have to switch to the mode you want and then adjust the resolution. You have different resolution options for every mode.

Thanks! I just tried QuickShots on my new Mini 2, yesterday, and was surprised to see I didn't get 4K videos even though I have videos set to 4K.
With practice you don't need those..I never used them..cept for testing.. I can do it all..smoothness and great vid
I love the simplicity and the amount of info you can get from these demonstrations. Its straight forward and includes most info you could ask for in how it functions.

I think this is my favourite drone channel….both because of the in depth reviews but also I love the range tests….the anxiety is kinda fun in those.

I have a Mini as well as a Mini 2. If this is your first drone, get the Mini 2. The Ocusync2 is worth the extra cost as well as 4k, raw photos, etc.

Hey, from what I've seen in another youtube video, you have to first select quickshots mode and the press the three dots and go to camera settings. There you can switch your quickshots resolution.

Man this drone is AWESOME!!! I caught the Fly More combo in the pawn shop for $300!!! It was in PERFECT condition, and the extras packets with the props & sticks were STILL factory sealed!! And the batteries only had 2 charge cycles on them!! This thing is NICE!!! Great review!!!

How you know how many charges the battery had on it? Also how many charges about will the batteries last?

@@romeoreyes1073 The DJI APP tells you all the information on the batteries. The cycles. the max charge percentage and a few more things, I forgot what all it shows.
Fantastic review!! The most complete demo I have seen. You didn’t just go through the standard options. I like the fact that you did “what if I do this” type of thing while in a particular mode. In this one video I learned more than reading the whole manual !! Great work ! 👍

Great video Dustin. Love it we just got the mini2. Speechless how well it handles in wind. Stronger motors as well.
I had my pro and mini 2 out today with 20 mph sustained winds and gusts over 38 mph. I used to fly RC helicopters and I wouldn't fly in winds over 10, even a 5 mph wind was very noticeable. 20 mph wind, no way I could fly a heli in that kind of wind, much less ever be able to land it again.

This video is the reason I just purchased this drone over the weekend. I had been researching the mini, was leaning toward it, and Dusty tipped me over the edge with this awesome demo. Had a bit of trouble trying to convince my phone (galaxy s10) that the fly app was safe to use but after that we were good to fly. Awesome little machine

I've had my Mini 1 for a month now, and its brilliant, watching the mini 2, is pleasing to see the advanced updates for those buying there first Drone, they will love it.
Having now flown and understanding Drones better, i feel rather than go Mini 2, it gives me confidence to seriously consider my next Drone would be the Mavic 2. The mini is so easy to fly you understandingly feel more confident you could handle the next step of a bigger drone.

Just got my mini 2. I just flew it in 20 mph winds... It was a champ! Im excited to watch this vid so i can learn the features of this drone. As always well done Dustin!!
I got mine last week and the weather here in Ohio has been terrible. My first flight was in 25mph winds and I had 0 issues. I am very surprised and pleased with the performance of this little guy. I flew it today for over an hour and it was a blast. I thought I would never replace my Phantom 3 Pro but this little guy makes it difficult to want to take the P3P out. I highly recommend the Mini 2. Even if you are new to the hobby.
@@black79montecarlo123 yes I have the same weather. I live in buffalo and the winds have a least been 15- 20 mph winds with gusts over 25+ for a few days. I took it out today in 10-15 mph winds and it flew very easy. I came from a p3 and a bebop 2 power. Mini 2 is amazing I love it. My first flight was in the same conditions as yours.

The video is impressive despite the wind jostling the drone around. I'm super anxious. I just picked this same drone up a couple days ago. I have not yet taken it out fly but I'm chomping at the bit. I've been watching your videos to basically get an idea what the drone will do and really how to operate it because, it's my first drone. Nearly everyone I've read, who has this drone, seem to just love it. Keep up with the great videos.

just took it out for a first flight, truly military tech available to the public. it was a everything i thought it could be times a thousand. for 600 bucks, dont wait. its insane. like owning your own helicopter

With the latest updates, you can also now completely control the orientation of the drone during RTH, so you can swivel it left and right or even fly home backwards, filming as you go. It is lo longer restricted to adjusting the gimbal up and down but always facing forwards.

Yes, you can do 4K quick shots. Once you’re in quick shot mode click the top 3 dots and change to 4K. I think you have to go in camera submenu if memory serves me correctly. Quickshots has its own settings separate from video. Love your videos Dustin! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for such a comprehensive review and instructional video. I need this small size due to traveling internationally, so the mini2 will be a wonderful addition. Larger size drones just don't work well from the standpoint of international legal requirements, weight, size issues that impact a solo traveler. Thanks, again!!!!
I have bought this drone 1 month ago, it's my first drone and I'm really satisfied with it. I'm really impressed by its range (tested at more than 1 mile with no issues), the steadyness of the videos and also the battery. The only thing that could be improved to my mind is the quality of the camera (colors sometimes a bit weird), but it's worth it at this price

You can change It to 4K in settings
It’s not limited to 1080

Hi Dustin, great video as usual ! The 4K for the Quickshots can be set in the options, you are not limited to 1080P by default... ;) Waiting for the 0% landing, love when you do that.Cheers ^^
