@@JJocu I'm not sure how people have problems with this game, it's amazing. The only small complaints I have are that it's a little too easy on regular playthrough, NG+ is at a great difficulty but lots of people won't redo the game for that.
Apart from that I guess the lack of secret items/bosses/areas with ultra hard content is something I miss and lack of control over party members/what they are doing. Everything else is great and it is 100% what Final Fantasy needed.
@@THExJMC Asmon looks like he's playing with the dodge assist. If you play with no assists the first playthrough is still pretty challenging.

There's a sidequest called "Caulk & Bawl" so yes, it definitely was.

I think we can all agree the set pieces and bosses in this game are top of the line. Up there with the greats for sure
I can't think of a better one, actually. GoW and DMC have some awesome ones but this game is on another level.

MGR did have some pretty insane ones too. They were more on the goofy side like dmc which are pretty fun to watch, but the ones here look very pretty, and just when you think it's over it keeps going

Titan having all the trappings and spectacle of a final boss , despite being a mid-story fight has Asura's Wrath and Platinum Games' style written all over it.
They didn't have to go this hard, but I'm glad they did!

i rarely give 10/10 to any boss fight but in this one i had to give titan boss fight a 11/10 (and another 11/10 to other boss later on as well)

Trust me dude, after Bahamut fight, the game becomes absolute garbage. The story stops making ANY sense. It's like full blown Game of Thrones season 8 level shit.

@@KidsandDrugs yeah, the story isn't good. I think I was more for the combat. Which is weird for a final fantasy game. I think trying a lot of new things made it this way. I also think I went with super high expectations for story as I played ff14. However, I feel they made a great game overall especially the eikon fights where all budget went there only lol. I probably give it 8.
@@MFMArt yeah plot wasn't hard to understand it but it was not the best implementation. However I am talking like this because cbu3 made an amazing story execution with 14 so I guess I just had high expectations. However, it is a great game. A very good game to bring in new people to the franchise.

That titan lost boss fight was awesome got chills all over my body constantly while playing that boss fight, GOTY.
I haven’t been this blown away with boss fights since the old God of War games. Fucking epic.
And so the saga of Asmon not reading a single tool tip, and chat desperately trying to get him to read them, or teach him how to use it on the fly
It's funnier because he has then up on the screen for a good few seconds as if he's actually read them but literally nothing sticks in his brain.

Im almost at the end of the game and my god is it good! Its not perfect but definitely one of the most fun Final Fantasy games i played. For those who only like traditional RPGs i can assure you that this game is worth your time.
i will say, ironically enough what brings this game down, is its "XIV-ness". the absurdly boring equipments, the long cooldowns, items being borderline useless for most of the time(except the eventual potion used here and there).

It's not perfect but the highs are so high that there are very few games, if any, that compare.

Never played final fantasy games but this looks brilliant, the combat is something else and the storytelling is great too. Wow!

I knew chat was going to explode when I saw that scene for the first time in my playthrough. I also loved chat's reaction to the "he had his nose buried in my nuts" line. Koji was wild leaving that line in, he knew what he was doing. 😂
I just finished the game. Absolutely incredible journey. I really hope Asmon continues to play it and it gets posted here. These are such a treat to watch!

I dunno, I just finished the game today and found it well worth my time, but I learned to dred quest markers by the end of the game.

This game has highs that I haven't experienced in some time including that ridiculous Titan fight.
I do think the side quests can be classed mostly as filler but I'm enjoying this game and want to spend as much time as possible in the world before it is over.
Leaving the dude without hands is much more cruel than just killing him. Life is not always precious.

@bribri139 6 is on many FF fans top 3, its 2nd for me behind 7 of course. It's old school love because it also took the FF series to new heights. That game was that remarkable.. amazing for its time. It deserves a remake.

Keep in mind how freaking big Garuda's toe/talon was when Clive cut it off, it was bigger than him! Then keep in mind that Ifrit and Garuda are about the same size... Now compare Ifrit to Titan's size yet lone Lost's size... Jesus. They're behemoths.
As we saw in the shiva vs titan fight, normal human is barely the size of the tip of titan's finger spikes, not even his actual finger lol.
Kinda crazy to think normal human are just dust sized in the falling fight part.

The emotional intensity in the first kupka fight has made it my favorite so far. Him pounding the ground with his stumps while blood drips out of them is so uncomfortable to watch lol.
That titan sequence fuckin blew my mind. Loved seeing Asmob's reaction to this.
My favourite thing about the combat is just using Ignition to pick up all the trash mobs and then use a multi hit like gouge to finish the rest off 😂

@@corwinchapman8270 Zantetsuken on single targets and trash mobs is so good. Odin is by far the best Eikon easily. Rift Slip and Dancing Steel are amazing. Equip Dancing Steel 25% increase on Zantetsuken Gauge (you get it from the Odin chronolith trial), you can get level 5 in almost one Dancing Steel. So you can start a fight with level 5, stagger an enemy, use Diamond Dust (almost to 1.5 multiplier instantly), then in-between you use Rift Slip to give you extra time to do more skills, set up lightning rod if you have it, use Zantetsuken, then use Dancing Steel, almost level 5, Rift Slip, get some hits in to get to level 5, then Zantetsuken again. Then you can just finish off with Gigaflare and the enemy will likely die or be very close. I've gotten up to like 150k stagger damage at level 47 or 48, it's probably gonna be really high on NG+.
Looking forward to seeing his reaction to the Bahamut fight.

In re: his opening comment about side quests, I agree. Many of them do feel like they should have been part of the main story. Hell, some are as complicated as a main story quest.

Watching asmon's 2 brain cells fight titan was very hard
I dont usually complain about peoples skills to play games but its so tedious to watch when he doesnt pay attention and just spams attacks and fail QTEs constantly and apparently he rediscovers dodge button everytime there is a new boss.
In the Titan fight I literally didn't have to use a single heal. My health bar was only 2/3s depleted by time I killed Titan. Asmon just doesn't pay attention. His MMO wired brain has trouble perceiving things on screen when more than 3 things are happening at once. LOL

This deserves a lot more love and attention than it is getting. Its always funny how you compare this top tier game to a stupid ass game with a collection of junk called "only up" that is getting way more attention up to this point and it came out before this game did. Its just annoying how people can be so amused by brainrot simple shit more than something as amazing as this game.
its pretty simple really. When the game is junk food like "only up" people dont pay attention to the game and the streamer becomes the star. When the game is good, it is the game that becomes the focus and the steramer is only a second fiddle. Streamers gravitate towards monotonous games in order to stand out,. and also they dont need to pay attention to the actual game and can be looking at chat all the time etc.

I just wish they added another bar that unlocks when you master limit break that charges when you limit break bars are full that will allow you to turn into the eikon you have equipped
To use abilities hold square button then press R1 or L1 (atleast that’s what my inputs are, I changed them in settings I think)

I thought Titan was already massive enough, being 10 times bigger than my Godzilla.... That was until his 2nd form made me shit bricks.

I noticed u have the Berserker Ring equipped. If u counter-attack right after u perfect dodge, he does a cool multi-hit, instead of the 1-hit.

Final Fantasy and Sonic Frontiers both having massive Titan fights set to intense rock music was not something I expected
Classic Asmongold the game literally pops up a thing that explains how protect works and says how to get around it. He reads it. Then immediately struggles with the mechanic that was just spoon fed to him. 😂
Same with the rest of the combat, he does nothing but ignition spam off cd and basic bitch 4 hit combo, no air combat, no chaining abilities, nor using any of the counters.
Him being on story difficulty doesn't help him learn either, everything dies to fast.
How does Asmon do those cinematic slide dodges when fighting Kupka? I don't remember doing that other than the demo when it was a cinematic moment
