SRT is the State Railway of Thailand, a state enterprise, with more than 150 years history since King Rama V. SRT is the biggest landlord in Thailand as all the stations and nearby land belong to it. In those days, land was cheap and the state allocates plenty of land to the SRT including the now high-value Chatuchak Weekend Market, the largest open market in the world. SRT is running at a loss since its inception and the successive governments have to allocate annual budget to supplement SRT's revenue. If SRT did not earn lucrative rent revenue at Chatuchak Market and Central Latphrao Mall, its annual losses would be even much more than at present. SRT's 3rd class ticket is one of the cheapest in the world, a huge bargain. Apart from normal train run on diesel engine, SRT also runs 2 electric trains in Bangkok, the Red Line to the suburbs (North and West) and Airport Link from Suvarnabhumi airport to the heart of Bangkok.

yes it is very hot And I have lived in Bangkok for over 20 years.
I'm still not used to the heat these days. In some years, you may find a heat level of 40 + degrees Celsius. But normally during the day it's at 35 degrees.
The advantage of heat is You will need to shower twice a day every day.
and don't have to spend money on thick clothes haha
At this time 9.25pm The temperature was 28.5 degrees.
I sat and smoked while drinking cold beer happily, haha.

I wanted to address your comment about eating the same foods over and over. We the viewers understand that people develop favorites in things, including food.
I commented regarding this (playing favorites) in another video, which has since been deleted, because I felt like I came off as brusque.
We are a proud people, proud of our food and other aspects, and it is in our nature to want to share with others the good things from our country ( the Philippines) .
You seem very open-minded about food , and I just wanted to challenge you just for a moment to consider trying desserts other than halo halo before making sweeping statements like "so and so's country's dessert is the best." That is, to consider trying comparable sticky rice desserts from my country so you can really see the breadth of what my country has to offer.
    That's all, folks.

Thailand started bus service in Bangkok nearly 100 years ago, it was run by private bus operators at a reasonable price but still making a decent profit. However, about 45 years ago, a certain political party campaigned to make bus in Bangkok free and when this party came to power as a coalition govt, it nationalized bus services, buying the private operators and created Bangkok Mass Transport Authority (BMTA) to run a free bus service for a few years. When the govt could no longer afford the huge annual subsidy, it allowed the BMTA to charge a cheap ticket price for non-aircon buses and then introduced air-con buses at 2-3 times the price of non-aircon buses. The non-aircon buses have been running at a loss since then up to today while the air-con buses run at break-even. The BMTA then granted private bus operators to run non-aircon and air-con buses again about 30 years ago to reduce the BMTA's mounting debts as private operators seem to know how to run buses at a decent profit even though they charge the same ticket fares as BMTA's own buses. To this day, BMTA non-aircon red buses are still relatively cheap less than 10 baht, one of the cheapest fare in the world. Every year, the national govt allocates a supplementary budget to shore up BMTA's inefficient operation. It is apparent that the first populist policy of Thai govt does not work as is the case worldwide such as the bankrupted Venezuela and father of populist policy Argentina which seeks IMF help at least 6 times since WWII.
