I came out of this after I was bedridden with a painful disease. We prayed and prayed. Anointed with oil. Brought before the church. Repented, begged, pleaded for healing…. I wasn’t healed. But during that time I loved God so much and clung to Him. I finally prayed about why wasn’t I being healed! What is the problem?!? Everyday I listened to the audio Bible because that’s pretty much the only thing I could do physically. I listened to it over and over and over. While hearing whole books or letters in one sitting, instead of cherry picked verses plucked out like a recipe in a spell-book, I was able to understand the whole idea behind passages. I quickly began to realize that what the Bible actually said isn’t what I believed was true!! Thank you so much Costi for this message. I’m planning on sending it to a few of my family members that are still in that deception 😭 🙏 I’ve been out of that for about 5 years now. But my sister is so far in that I can barely talk to her anymore because she just talks about such weird things and ideas that I can’t really even converse with her anymore 😭 😭 and now my little brother is falling into it via her. Please pray for their eyes to be open!! I know they love God, and they think they are serving Him. 😢

@@candyapple7445 Most definitely, the Bible teaches healing. Just not in the way these mega churches are doing. A lot of those pastors are preaching that one must sow a seed, which is money, to be healed. There are lots of wolves in sheep’s clothing out there proclaiming in order to receive your healing they must pay a certain amount to that church or ministry. Jesus healed many while he was here on earth and he did not ask for anything for them to be healed. Didn’t cost them a penny. I think that is what he is saying here.

Thank you for the honest and sobering sermon! 23 years ago I was converted in a prosperity theology church and until recently I still struggled to purify my mind of its false teachings. I found my last answers in this sermon and I am grateful for that. Praise God for His saving grace! ❤️
Costi is doing a valuable service in the Christian Community. There aren't enough people like him explaining why this prosperity heresy is wrong. And people need to hear the truth & hear it widely. Since he's doing many interviews, it's exposing the lies of the devil, & I'm grateful for him. God gives us what we NEED at the time we need it, whatever it is. It could be seen as 'good' or 'bad' but it's all learning experiences. The lie is that we give money to these fakes & God gives us wealth & luxury. Some kind of spiritual Ponzi scheme. What rubbish. And those who want to believe it will not get credit for loving God.
I am totally losted for words. Costi hinn almost sounded like John Mcarthur. Wow, im so happy for his delivants. At one stage of his sermon my eyes filled with tears. This sermon needs to be spreaded far and wide so that people will leave the prosperity churches and more souls will be saved Amen. Costi was gracious nicely tuned and preached the gospel how it should be done, glory be to God. But he still as a massive task on his hand to help save his relatives, if he can. I wish him well on that venture, it's not going to be easy. Thank you father for bringing Costi to the true gospel and bless him on his journey to win souls in your glorious name Amen
So thankful for this message! I recently left a controlling Word of Faith church after attending for 0ver 7 years. I was deceived until the Lord opened my eyes. I also was never a fan of Benny Hinn, then felt guilty because it seemed like everyone else did. A lot of exposure has been coming out about cults like Bethel, and their false teachings. I thank God that there are people like Costi who are strong enough to leave a toxic environment and speak the truth.
I was healed from copd lung disease it’s been resolved I have medical notes to prove it .. I would be in stage 4 by now …. God said it was my faith that saved me I was the woman that touched his garment mark34
The prosperity false teaching for me was about how now you are God’s child he will restore your life, eg a single mum he’ll give you a great husband, or will make a court case go your way or save and restore an addict loved one etc and give you an amazing life that unbelievers will think wow what is going on in her life! Leads to much heartbreak and disappointment with God and feeling like he’s withholding or has forgotten you or is against you. Anyone else?
What an excellent pastor. What a blessing to the body of Christ. The TRUE gospel of Christ is the ONLY way of salvation. I used to be in this false movement. God, by His mercy and grace, opened my eyes decades ago, and I am so eternally thankful. I want NOTHING to do with this ungodly mess. THANK YOU JESUS!!! I have his book. Did you ever wonder why most all the people's that follow the prosperity gospel , seem to be the wealthy ? The book speaks that the poor and the fatherless will always be with us. Everytime I turn around in this world today , I see signs that GOD inspired the writers to tell us , in the book. I call it , THE BOOK OF LIFE ! I THANK GOD , for showing me the way. I can’t see why people don’t believe the scriptures that say you will be spiritually well, healthy and prosperous. Why would your loving Heavenly Father want you sick and broken? “Thanks god for another cancer blessing to humble me”. I am a father and my love for my sons must be an infinitely small thing(comparatively) and somehow even I would not do such things to my children. God bless you!
I wish more would listen to him. My mother fell for these crooks, hook, line, and sinker. I was finally able to wake her up (somewhat) several years before she passed, but she would still call allllllll of their ‘prayer lines’ for prayer alllll the time. She was OCD and her calling also reflected that. She had the spirit of fear that was extreme. I will never NOT believe that she didn’t get it from listening to their broadcasts. Especially, Copeland, and their ‘speaking in tongues’. She would sleep with them on and I feel that demonic spirit they casted, worked while she was asleep and in her dreams. Hell WILL be hot for the fakes.
I struggle with mental illness, addiction and PTSD. aAlthough I have had a radical experience with what I felt was the Holy Spirit I got bombarded physically and mentally, went into menopause. My daughter is the result of a non consensual event and I was a virgin. I started going to Bethel and watching these videos not copeland he seems pretty "obvious" as far as to fake but Bethel I have wavered back and forth bc God really used a girl there to get me help. Then all came crumbling down and night and day I have had night terrors, mental torment. A local deliverance ministry told me to stop all psychiatric medication. I tried. But vaccillated bc I couldn't sleep. I'd lay in bed in tears reciting "deliverance prayers " I found on youtube not understanding why I was struggling. I haven't felt like worshipping and I feel like satan has been twisting Scriptures telling me I'm not saved to where I'm crying every day about it. I have decided for now to take my medication and go to a 12 step recovery group and probably find a Bible Church. But some of my experiences confuse me. And just this morning I was in terror and tears that I was not saved bc my anxiety being so debilitating getting to the store or leaving the house has been hard and i'm only 44. I was experiencing a great deal of freedom and then all of it came back. Please keep me in your prayers as I haven't found peace again quite yet obviously. Some of the things I saw at Bethel though didn't make sense. There were people "cackling" apparently "drunk in the Spirit". But then I felt like well I shouldn't judge they seem like really good people there . I want to return to how I grew up , well not Baptist, but non demotional and reformed I think. The more I listen to these "guys" - prosperity the MORE confused and terrified I am. But then I condemn myself. And etc etc. Thanks for your message.

So very sorry to hear all you have been dealing with. 😞 When we look at 2 Timothy 1:7, we see immediately where the spirit of fear comes from, and it is NOT from our Lord. “For God hath NOT given us the spirit of fear; but of POWER, and of LOVE, and of a SOUND mind.” My mother was a lot better at one point and she then had to go to a rehabilitation (nursing home type) facility to get help for a swelling leg. The only meds she was taking at the time she went in was a baby aspirin every morning, and a high blood pressure tablet. She stayed in there for weeks and I started noticing her mind was confused and her anxiety was through the roof. When she was dismissed, they handed me a HUGE bag of at least NINE different meds. She was in her 80’s at the time and they also prescribed her Ativan. She couldn’t even hold her mouth closed and looked like a zombie (understatement). I researched, and it is as addictive as heroin! She weened herself off of it (and all of the other junk) (finally) and got somewhat better, but I feel it damaged her, somewhat. The word pharmacy comes from the word “Pharmakeia”. When you research that word, we see “the use or the administering of drugs. POISONING, SORCERY, MAGICAL arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it.”. Many don’t realize that something that is mind-altering is only adding to mental confusion. The ones behind these drugs are billionaires, and the more addicts they have, the richer they get. More like witchcraft, than anything. When Jesus was being tempted by the devil, or even when He recognized the statement Peter said that was not of God, Jesus told the devil to GO AWAY! Sometimes we forget to do that and to simply tell the devil to GO AWAY in the MIGHTY name of Jesus. THE name ABOVE every name. We can call on Jesus at anytime because He told us He will NEVER leave us, nor EVER forsake us. The disciples delivered people from demons, but I am skeptical of the ones ‘claiming’ deliverance out there these days because we now have God’s inspired word in book form (Bible) and are capable to call out to our Lord Jesus by ourself. We don’t need others to do that on our behalf. Jesus is our ONLY mediator between us and God the Father. Also, I don’t agree with the ‘gift of tongues’ so popular out there today. I run from those doing it. When we read the scriptures, it CLEARLY says they began speaking ACTUAL languages, and even lists the ACTUAL languages they spoke. God gave them this miracle so they could go out and be able to preach to the world. It’s a very sure sign the ones that claim to have it now (Hinn, Copeland, etc), DON’T have it because if you notice, they all use an interpreter of Spanish, Italian, etc., when they go into other countries standing beside them and repeating their sermon they’ve spoken in English. The tongues of the Bible were NOT babble. Plus, when Jesus was praying to the Father, He spoke the same language everyone around Him did, Aramaic. God hears and understands our prayers in English. When speaking ‘babble’ and not understanding what WE say, the devil could actually be using it to even blaspheme God and we wouldn’t even know we’re doing or saying, which is something he would do. I’m so sorry for the non-consensual act you experienced that someone did to you. I do hope you are close to your daughter, though, which would be the blessing from that. To sleep better, I would recommend an audio Bible. I love sleeping to the Psalms (low volume) and sleep like a baby. I don’t EVER sleep to music (or tv going), or have it playing. Sleeping to God’s word (I believe) prevents any attacks from the evil one, plus, you can absorb God’s word in your heart and soul. I used to love hearing Alexander Scourby’s reading of the Bible. He used to read audio books for the blind, but his family started putting ads in it since his death and making money from it on TH-cam. The LAST thing I want to hear while hearing God’s word is a COMMERCIAL! I think they do have an app, ad free (to buy…ridiculous), for your phone. I would recommend any audio version you decide on to be KJV only and have NO music in the background. God’s word can, and should, stand alone without background music distractions (that are from the devil). Listen to God’s word day and night. It WILL help you. Start with Matthew and work your way through, both New, and Old. I will keep you in my prayers. I know God is capable of calming your anxiety and delivering you from all of this, and all of the other chaos the devil is bringing to your life. The cure is to CONSTANTLY stay in God’s word. Also, throw out ALL things that are NOT of God out of your home (Halloween, santa, female angels, pics of Jesus (that AREN’T Jesus), Mary (if you have any) and any other junk like that). Thank you for being so brave and so bold to preach the truth I'm trying to tell a family member about this false gospel. And they just call me divisive and say I have a critical spirit. I just keep praying for them that God will open eyes.
I have been looking at online churches because I have no way to get out to go to church or to get groceries...etc. I watched some in the past and often wondered WHY were these pastors allowed to preach. Then I realized that some people don't want to hear the gospel. They want to be entertained! Yes, I love music but when they make it the majority of the teaching, it is wrong. Then when they start going off in a weird direction that in no way aligns with the Bible, you know you have wandered into a cult, pure and simple.
Imho, the true gospel is not calvanism. If I understand it correctly, it teaches that God chose who would be redeemed…period. I believe he determined that Whosoever makes the Free Will decision to trust in Jesus’ atonement on the cross for their sins and choose Him as their lord and saviour Will Be Saved. John 3:16, “ …that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” God foreknew those who would accept Him and determined that they would be saved. We can have loving disagreements on other scriptural issues, but The Gospel is not one of those. If someone is not correct on salvation, I personally have reservations in listening to their teaching on other Bible teaching; i.e. calvanists. Costi’s testimony is so amazing and is rich in Truth. He has been a real blessing.✝️💕🙏

I think it’s interesting that Costi Hinn has made upwards of 5 million dollars mostly from criticizing prosperity teachers. I read MANY scriptures that say if I have faith I can approach the throne and receive the things I want and need from my Heavenly Father. I have had blessings that far exceed what can be explained by luck alone. You can believe whatever you want but be warned, “you will have it according to your own faith”. God bless!
All these preachers will stand before God. If they've abused their flock; they'll pay a big price. I pray for all these preachers who know what they're doing. Just read your Bible and trust the Lord for your NEEDS, not your WANTS. God does bless us with just knowing He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Pray for your next steps and leave quietly. The Lord will guide you. I left after 15 years, several of them in senior leadership. Folks were instructed not to speak to me, the leadership wouldn't even give me a leaving blessing let alone an appreciation for the years of service. I knew I had to leave and have never felt more release.Several of the members of the cell groups I started and deacons that I trained still reach out to me for pastoral care because that church peddles in cheque books ,not in scripture filled teaching and selfless love. And it has to be said, the racism clothed in neglect of non-white people,a bias towards white leadership often without merit, and a reluctance to even engage with social justice issues was too callous and wikced to ignore. There is no prosperity gospel. As the title indicates it's prosperity theology. Prosperity is all through the Bible, so there's nothing wrong with teaching it as long as it's balanced. If they preach salvation by grace through faith in Jesus and affirm things like the Resurrection and the deity of Jesus I'd stay put unless you're compelled to leave by the Holy Spirit.

Church isn't to be an entertainment center with food trucks. I'm so so grieved. Coffee bars n people standing in line to fill up on snacks before the sermon sitting on lush benches. It's horrid. Book stores selling jewelry, art displays for sell? What? The building itself is a multi million dollar business. 🤮
I’ve been in Charismatic churches for 45 years. Graduated from Christ For The Nations. Worked for the infamous Robert Tilton. Etc etc. There are definitely areas of the movement that I have issues with. That’s why I watched this. And while I appreciate much of what Costi said, there is a place where the Reformed Church really loses me. Calling people heretics, using words like blasphemy, going so far to question, strongly question, other believer’s salvation. If you can be more specific and pick the individual ministers you KNOW are knowingly seeking to deceive people, that’s one thing. I would like to know who they are. But over and over I see and hear the accusation painted with a VERY broad brush. In 45 years, other than that weirdo Tilton, I’ve yet to meet anyone that I did not think was sincere in their love of God and desire to earnestly seek Him and live by The Word.

Joshua 1:8: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe (obey) to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. James 1:22: But be doers of the word (obey the Word), and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 💡💦💡Working, saving, investing, producing, creating, buying, selling, and trading are all natural elements to bring money into your hands. Reading God's Word, meditating on God's Word, obeying God's Word, confessing God's Word, living Holy, praying, giving, and fasting are what you do spiritually in conjunction with the natural elements of making money that will help make you become prosperous and successful. God will always honor His Word over your life, but you have to work your faith and live your life pleasing unto God!
I really dont understand who to listen to. If we dont need money, God wouldn't have to create. God wants us to be prosperous in every area of our lives. Having money isnt sin. God wants to bless us to be a blessing. It's not sin to be rich. I feel this is somehow inferiority Gospel. God wants us to heal us and we have been given us the authority to cast out every unclean spirit every stronghold. He wants to bless us financially also. Just that we should not misuse of His Blessings
All early Christians died, with not many with a cent to their name. Persecuted. The disciples did not die in a cozy shack, but were tortured. God does want to give us riches from his grace, but those riches are promised to be spiritual. There's no formulae to guarantee that God will get you that physical want. You say 'IF BE YOUR WILL'. Christ's prayer in the garden, for his execution to be waived was qualified with 'NOT BY MY WILL, BUT YOURS'. All physical riches and comfort are blessings by God only given when He WILLS IT. God wants to love you and give you all the things you want and need only IF HE WILLS. God did not promise you comfort to mitigate your suffering as a believer. 2 Corinthians 12:9 New International Version 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Of course, God loves you. It's because He is love. God wants you to spiritually flourish as a believer in God. He does physically give you and provide just enough, but God never says "My children, you'll never have your house foreclosed by the enemy; claim it!" No. Here's what Christ said: Matthew 6:31-34 "So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek FIRST his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." TO first seek the kingdom means to prioritize the wants and needs that align with God: to spread the gospel, to show kindness, to fulfill your calling and asking for the Holy Spirit for discernment.
It's OK to pray for comfort and rest BUT you can't just spiritually-new age belief that "God will get me X here and now" or "It's God's plan for me to be well-off financially! So he'll give me the resources right now!". You can't claim or instantiate blessings out of nowhere. If God provides good! But God has made hard times too, to sharpen your faith. Peter 1:7 "that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tested with fire) might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ..."
Listen to wise men who are well-established whose teachings are grounded solely in God's word. John MacArthur, Chuck Swindoll, come to mind. I pray you find peace and discernment, and that you know that God who doesn't prioritize comfort but SUFFERED, DIED, AND OVERCAME. Peace be with you! Well pray for you!

Psalm 35:27 (NKJV) Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the PROSPERITY of His servant.”

For example: I would rather drive myself to work than have someone else drive for me. I would rather put my clothes and my shoes on myself than have someone else do it. There are some things I would rather have someone else do for me. For example when I get married I would rather let my wife do the cooking.
I love what Costi said, but am so sad when I see God's people dishonoring the King by coming to church dressed in blue jeans. As R.C. Sproul stated we would not approach an earthly King with that much frivolity. It happened when "Christian" rock came into the church. May God's people repent and treat God with the respect he is due. My house is a house of prayer but it has become a harlot. Music is not neutral it has a spirit. I was caught up for forty years into "Christian" rock and I treated God's house with disrespect because of the music. Always glad to hear the course correction. It is vital to course correct asap soon as the Lord convicts. I came out of this after I was bedridden with a painful disease. We prayed and prayed. Anointed with oil. Brought before the church. Repented, begged, pleaded for healing…. I wasn’t healed. But during that time I loved God so much and clung to Him. I finally prayed about why wasn’t I being healed! What is the problem?!?
Everyday I listened to the audio Bible because that’s pretty much the only thing I could do physically. I listened to it over and over and over. While hearing whole books or letters in one sitting, instead of cherry picked verses plucked out like a recipe in a spell-book, I was able to understand the whole idea behind passages. I quickly began to realize that what the Bible actually said isn’t what I believed was true!!

Most definitely, the Bible teaches healing. Just not in the way these mega churches are doing. A lot of those pastors are preaching that one must sow a seed, which is money, to be healed. There are lots of wolves in sheep’s clothing out there proclaiming in order to receive your healing they must pay a certain amount to that church or ministry. Jesus healed many while he was here on earth and he did not ask for anything for them to be healed. Didn’t cost them a penny. I think that is what he is saying here.

Wow, im so happy for his delivants. At one stage of his sermon my eyes filled with tears. This sermon needs to be spreaded far and wide so that people will leave the prosperity churches and more souls will be saved Amen.
Costi was gracious nicely tuned and preached the gospel how it should be done, glory be to God.
But he still as a massive task on his hand to help save his relatives, if he can. I wish him well on that venture, it's not going to be easy.

So thankful for this message! I recently left a controlling Word of Faith church after attending for 0ver 7 years. I was deceived until the Lord opened my eyes. I also was never a fan of Benny Hinn, then felt guilty because it seemed like everyone else did.
A lot of exposure has been coming out about cults like Bethel, and their false teachings. I thank God that there are people like Costi who are strong enough to leave a toxic environment and speak the truth.

I wish more would listen to him. My mother fell for these crooks, hook, line, and sinker. I was finally able to wake her up (somewhat) several years before she passed, but she would still call allllllll of their ‘prayer lines’ for prayer alllll the time. She was OCD and her calling also reflected that. She had the spirit of fear that was extreme. I will never NOT believe that she didn’t get it from listening to their broadcasts. Especially, Copeland, and their ‘speaking in tongues’. She would sleep with them on and I feel that demonic spirit they casted, worked while she was asleep and in her dreams. Hell WILL be hot for the fakes.
I struggle with mental illness, addiction and PTSD. aAlthough I have had a radical experience with what I felt was the Holy Spirit I got bombarded physically and mentally, went into menopause. My daughter is the result of a non consensual event and I was a virgin. I started going to Bethel and watching these videos not copeland he seems pretty "obvious" as far as to fake but Bethel I have wavered back and forth bc God really used a girl there to get me help. Then all came crumbling down and night and day I have had night terrors, mental torment. A local deliverance ministry told me to stop all psychiatric medication. I tried. But vaccillated bc I couldn't sleep. I'd lay in bed in tears reciting "deliverance prayers " I found on youtube not understanding why I was struggling. I haven't felt like worshipping and I feel like satan has been twisting Scriptures telling me I'm not saved to where I'm crying every day about it. I have decided for now to take my medication and go to a 12 step recovery group and probably find a Bible Church. But some of my experiences confuse me. And just this morning I was in terror and tears that I was not saved bc my anxiety being so debilitating getting to the store or leaving the house has been hard and i'm only 44. I was experiencing a great deal of freedom and then all of it came back. Please keep me in your prayers as I haven't found peace again quite yet obviously. Some of the things I saw at Bethel though didn't make sense. There were people "cackling" apparently "drunk in the Spirit". But then I felt like well I shouldn't judge they seem like really good people there . I want to return to how I grew up , well not Baptist, but non demotional and reformed I think. The more I listen to these "guys" - prosperity the MORE confused and terrified I am. But then I condemn myself. And etc etc. Thanks for your message.

When we look at 2 Timothy 1:7, we see immediately where the spirit of fear comes from, and it is NOT from our Lord. “For God hath NOT given us the spirit of fear; but of POWER, and of LOVE, and of a SOUND mind.”
My mother was a lot better at one point and she then had to go to a rehabilitation (nursing home type) facility to get help for a swelling leg. The only meds she was taking at the time she went in was a baby aspirin every morning, and a high blood pressure tablet. She stayed in there for weeks and I started noticing her mind was confused and her anxiety was through the roof. When she was dismissed, they handed me a HUGE bag of at least NINE different meds. She was in her 80’s at the time and they also prescribed her Ativan. She couldn’t even hold her mouth closed and looked like a zombie (understatement). I researched, and it is as addictive as heroin! She weened herself off of it (and all of the other junk) (finally) and got somewhat better, but I feel it damaged her, somewhat.
The word pharmacy comes from the word “Pharmakeia”. When you research that word, we see “the use or the administering of drugs. POISONING, SORCERY, MAGICAL arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it.”. Many don’t realize that something that is mind-altering is only adding to mental confusion. The ones behind these drugs are billionaires, and the more addicts they have, the richer they get. More like witchcraft, than anything.
When Jesus was being tempted by the devil, or even when He recognized the statement Peter said that was not of God, Jesus told the devil to GO AWAY! Sometimes we forget to do that and to simply tell the devil to GO AWAY in the MIGHTY name of Jesus. THE name ABOVE every name. We can call on Jesus at anytime because He told us He will NEVER leave us, nor EVER forsake us.
The disciples delivered people from demons, but I am skeptical of the ones ‘claiming’ deliverance out there these days because we now have God’s inspired word in book form (Bible) and are capable to call out to our Lord Jesus by ourself. We don’t need others to do that on our behalf. Jesus is our ONLY mediator between us and God the Father.
Also, I don’t agree with the ‘gift of tongues’ so popular out there today. I run from those doing it. When we read the scriptures, it CLEARLY says they began speaking ACTUAL languages, and even lists the ACTUAL languages they spoke. God gave them this miracle so they could go out and be able to preach to the world. It’s a very sure sign the ones that claim to have it now (Hinn, Copeland, etc), DON’T have it because if you notice, they all use an interpreter of Spanish, Italian, etc., when they go into other countries standing beside them and repeating their sermon they’ve spoken in English. The tongues of the Bible were NOT babble. Plus, when Jesus was praying to the Father, He spoke the same language everyone around Him did, Aramaic. God hears and understands our prayers in English. When speaking ‘babble’ and not understanding what WE say, the devil could actually be using it to even blaspheme God and we wouldn’t even know we’re doing or saying, which is something he would do.
I’m so sorry for the non-consensual act you experienced that someone did to you. I do hope you are close to your daughter, though, which would be the blessing from that.
To sleep better, I would recommend an audio Bible. I love sleeping to the Psalms (low volume) and sleep like a baby. I don’t EVER sleep to music (or tv going), or have it playing. Sleeping to God’s word (I believe) prevents any attacks from the evil one, plus, you can absorb God’s word in your heart and soul. I used to love hearing Alexander Scourby’s reading of the Bible. He used to read audio books for the blind, but his family started putting ads in it since his death and making money from it on TH-cam. The LAST thing I want to hear while hearing God’s word is a COMMERCIAL! I think they do have an app, ad free (to buy…ridiculous), for your phone. I would recommend any audio version you decide on to be KJV only and have NO music in the background. God’s word can, and should, stand alone without background music distractions (that are from the devil). Listen to God’s word day and night. It WILL help you. Start with Matthew and work your way through, both New, and Old.
I will keep you in my prayers. I know God is capable of calming your anxiety and delivering you from all of this, and all of the other chaos the devil is bringing to your life. The cure is to CONSTANTLY stay in God’s word. Also, throw out ALL things that are NOT of God out of your home (Halloween, santa, female angels, pics of Jesus (that AREN’T Jesus), Mary (if you have any) and any other junk like that). I have been looking at online churches because I have no way to get out to go to church or to get groceries...etc. I watched some in the past and often wondered WHY were these pastors allowed to preach. Then I realized that some people don't want to hear the gospel. They want to be entertained! Yes, I love music but when they make it the majority of the teaching, it is wrong. Then when they start going off in a weird direction that in no way aligns with the Bible, you know you have wandered into a cult, pure and simple.

Imho, the true gospel is not calvanism. If I understand it correctly, it teaches that God chose who would be redeemed…period. I believe he determined that Whosoever makes the Free Will decision to trust in Jesus’ atonement on the cross for their sins and choose Him as their lord and saviour Will Be Saved. John 3:16, “ …that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” God foreknew those who would accept Him and determined that they would be saved. We can have loving disagreements on other scriptural issues, but The Gospel is not one of those. If someone is not correct on salvation, I personally have reservations in listening to their teaching on other Bible teaching; i.e. calvanists.

Find a church with Expository preaching. Avoid feel good ones that try to stir up emotions and whip up the crowd.
Go to old fashioned INDEPENDENT BAPTIST! that's where I ended up: gladly!👍

Pray for your next steps and leave quietly. The Lord will guide you. I left after 15 years, several of them in senior leadership. Folks were instructed not to speak to me, the leadership wouldn't even give me a leaving blessing let alone an appreciation for the years of service. I knew I had to leave and have never felt more release.Several of the members of the cell groups I started and deacons that I trained still reach out to me for pastoral care because that church peddles in cheque books ,not in scripture filled teaching and selfless love. And it has to be said, the racism clothed in neglect of non-white people,a bias towards white leadership often without merit, and a reluctance to even engage with social justice issues was too callous and wikced to ignore. Run and don't look back
There is no prosperity gospel. As the title indicates it's prosperity theology. Prosperity is all through the Bible, so there's nothing wrong with teaching it as long as it's balanced. If they preach salvation by grace through faith in Jesus and affirm things like the Resurrection and the deity of Jesus I'd stay put unless you're compelled to leave by the Holy Spirit.

Church isn't to be an entertainment center with food trucks. I'm so so grieved. Coffee bars n people standing in line to fill up on snacks before the sermon sitting on lush benches. It's horrid. Book stores selling jewelry, art displays for sell? What? The building itself is a multi million dollar business. 🤮

I’ve been in Charismatic churches for 45 years. Graduated from Christ For The Nations. Worked for the infamous Robert Tilton. Etc etc. There are definitely areas of the movement that I have issues with. That’s why I watched this. And while I appreciate much of what Costi said, there is a place where the Reformed Church really loses me. Calling people heretics, using words like blasphemy, going so far to question, strongly question, other believer’s salvation. If you can be more specific and pick the individual ministers you KNOW are knowingly seeking to deceive people, that’s one thing. I would like to know who they are. But over and over I see and hear the accusation painted with a VERY broad brush.
In 45 years, other than that weirdo Tilton, I’ve yet to meet anyone that I did not think was sincere in their love of God and desire to earnestly seek Him and live by The Word.

I really dont understand who to listen to. If we dont need money, God wouldn't have to create. God wants us to be prosperous in every area of our lives. Having money isnt sin. God wants to bless us to be a blessing. It's not sin to be rich. I feel this is somehow inferiority Gospel. God wants us to heal us and we have been given us the authority to cast out every unclean spirit every stronghold. He wants to bless us financially also. Just that we should not misuse of His Blessings
All early Christians died, with not many with a cent to their name. Persecuted. The disciples did not die in a cozy shack, but were tortured. God does want to give us riches from his grace, but those riches are promised to be spiritual. There's no formulae to guarantee that God will get you that physical want. You say 'IF BE YOUR WILL'. Christ's prayer in the garden, for his execution to be waived was qualified with 'NOT BY MY WILL, BUT YOURS'. All physical riches and comfort are blessings by God only given when He WILLS IT. God wants to love you and give you all the things you want and need only IF HE WILLS. God did not promise you comfort to mitigate your suffering as a believer.

Of course, God loves you. It's because He is love. God wants you to spiritually flourish as a believer in God. He does physically give you and provide just enough, but God never says "My children, you'll never have your house foreclosed by the enemy; claim it!" No. Here's what Christ said:

TO first seek the kingdom means to prioritize the wants and needs that align with God: to spread the gospel, to show kindness, to fulfill your calling and asking for the Holy Spirit for discernment.
It's OK to pray for comfort and rest BUT you can't just spiritually-new age belief that "God will get me X here and now" or "It's God's plan for me to be well-off financially! So he'll give me the resources right now!". You can't claim or instantiate blessings out of nowhere. If God provides good! But God has made hard times too, to sharpen your faith.

Listen to wise men who are well-established whose teachings are grounded solely in God's word. John MacArthur, Chuck Swindoll, come to mind. I pray you find peace and discernment, and that you know that God who doesn't prioritize comfort but SUFFERED, DIED, AND OVERCAME. Peace be with you! Well pray for you!

I didn''t know being poor and staying sick was a blessing. I thought Jesus came to heal, cast demons and preach the gospel. Didn't God say in Malachi test me in giving? I thought Jesus said I came that you might have life abundant. Not sure what Bible this guy is reading. There are more Bible verses that says I will bless you financially, physically and etc.... It happened when "Christian" rock came into the church. May God's people repent and treat God with the respect he is due. My house is a house of prayer but it has become a harlot. Music is not neutral it has a spirit. I was caught up for forty years into "Christian" rock and I treated God's house with disrespect because of the music. have you ever listened to David Hernandez? Very Biblically sound, always says your miracle isn't dependent on if or how much money you give. Very sincere and authentic and repents when he feels he has taught "wrongly". Jesus does heal today. I've experienced it and couldn't believe it.

When a church runs more centred on the man or woman on stage or screens rather than a salvation centred on Christ alone, following after the Word of God (the bible as the inerrant living scriptures for our spirit and soul) for our abundant living.. then it will start to lose its way and must confess/renounce all that for real before the Lord and course correct, lest they lose the glory of His presence and the Holy Spirit's fueled lamp gets removed altogether from that place one of these days when it gets totally darkened by the infiltrated habitation of evil spirits as oppose to being a house of God with gathered believers in whom He dwells with the gentle wholesome pleasant yet dynamic power of His Holy Spirit.
