This is one of the BEST explanations of the 2 opposing REFORMATIONS going on in the church. I came OUT OF the false NAR movement and now see I did not know Jesus because I did not know or read the Word! Therefore I was tossed around believing every kind of false doctrine for over 20 years. I have repented and asked Jesus to be the Lord of my life and am now in the scriptures everyday. Thanks be to God, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for opening my eyes and saving me from deception!!! ❤️🙌🏼

I love what is said here, "let's slow down, let's discern and let the Truth of God's Word be our guide." Thank you Mr. Hinn. Prudence and humility coupled with love is desperately needed in this fight for God's glory.

This is excellent and a refreshing change from the Word/Faith heresy. I was raised in the Pentecostal/Word Faith movement. It took a very long time to unlearn the heresies I had been taught and to learn what real Reformed Theology was. By God's grace I found the truth.

This is so good, and very helpful! I have slowly come to realize I have been in a NAR church! By the grace of God, He has begun to show me and pull me away! Thank you, please keep going forward! My prayer is all brothers and sisters would come back to the authority of God Word!!!

Bless you, brother Costi. I am so glad our Lord brought you out of spiritual darkness into His glorious truth. I pray for you and others who are preaching the written Word in a rightly divided way. God is separating the wheat from the tares and I thank Him for His faithful servants who lovingly, boldly speak the true gospel.

This is a great sermon! The struggle is real. I am being ostracized in my church for standing on this position, and the church staff (pastors) are not at all looking into this, my fear is they are a part of this type of movement. It's also heavily reflected in the worship ministry, its modeled after Hillsongs music ministry, and the playlist is 60-70% Bethal collective.

Wow, this was just awesome. Thanks! God started to speak to me re the deception of word of faith and NAR - never been involved in so many fights/disagreements as I'm leaving that fold. Faith in Jesus ALONE!

God does speak to us directly, I have experienced this. But we must back it up with scripture when we hear God's voice so that we don't get deceived.

Thank you for posting this. People need to be warned about the dangers from the NAR. I used to attend the JesusCulture conferences, and read many of Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton's books. I went to a Christian high school that was heavily influenced by Bethel. I am glad to be out of that world now. I saw it for what it is, and I am sad to say that many of my old friends are still influenced by this group.

My son died when he was 13 years old after playing the "choking game". I was told that it was my fault because I did not pray the hedge of protection, was out of God's will for moving from Louisiana to Michigan after Hurricane Katrina, I had secret unconfessed sin, and did not listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Need I say more....

Bless you, brother. It is hard to confront heresies, but it must be done. So many in the body of Christ are so sadly Biblically illiterate that whatever feels good or sounds good is accepted as truth. Keep standing for the One who IS theTruth - Jesus Christ.
Jesus DID say, my sheep hear my voice and they follow me. We must be attuned to HIS voice and be discerning as the whether HE is speaking or the enemy of our souls is speaking.

Thank you for this. I have SO many questions.
I grew up in a non charismatic church until I was 17. We then switched to a Vineyard. I loved the prophetic. But there were so many things I would question. Of course i was labeled "rebellious" for doing so. I never wanted to be a crap starter. I just wanted to know why scriptures were pulled out of context to justify odd charismatic rhetoric.
I have now been out of church for 5 years due to PROFOUND chronic illness. Imagine the wrestling I have been going through over that alone.
I am struggling to walk out my faith according to the word. Talking to my family about my struggle has been hard. I am not liked very much. To put things lightly.

Great teaching, much needed word of warning here. I was hoping Costi would quote what Jesus said re: lusting after signs:
“An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So he left them and departed.
    - Matthew 16:4
I appreciated his scripture reference re: false teaching sneaking in undetected. I’m not in an NAR church, but I’ve detected various elements of their false doctrine creeping in among members. So little practice of discernment in today’s church, it seems... But then this has really always been a problem going back to the early church... I think perhaps intensified in these (latter?) days.

Wonderful teaching. By staying planted in truth, our roots grow, and we can withstand storms that come our way. Only by studying the word of truth can we stand on the rock and proclaim the truth ourselves. Study the words of God. John 1:1 The word be came flesh, build your relationship with Christ. If you don't he will say "I never knew you." Believe in Christ Jesus, learn who he really is. The son of God, whom died for the sins of the world, rose again and is at the right hand of the Father.

If you talk to someone of doctrines that you know have no gospel relevance even though the hearer knows you give them no sanction then you have wasted the hearer's time .If what you know about the gospel can be stated in ten minutes then become famous for just giving that ten minutes. one of the things I love about the bible is , as your familiarity grows the conviction that it is the record of the Creator's "come reason together" with His created free moral agents. With the passing of the years its revealing continues to expand in and of itself, and a clear picture of self realization in context with the Creator becomes clear.

I agree with Costi on everything but if the church I'm going to believes as Bethel does but we are never supposed to say anything, how are others warned. When I step down as an elder am I suppose to lie the the people when they ask why? I might as well stay in my position and continue being a part of leading the flock into deception. Do the scriptures not tell us to expose the false teachers, in love, but have nothing to do with them!

The problem is--whose interpretation of scripture. Some say you have to speak in tongues or you do not have the Holy Spirit, some say you can say the "prayer of the sinner" when you are 8 then no matter what you do, you are saved, some say no, you can "lose" your salvation, some say some are predestined, some say no whosoever believes will believe. Again, whose interpretation??

The institutions are stable, staide, almost imovable rocks of tradition and when we become unfetted from these institutions of stable tradition, which is what is happening to the church in these last of days, we can go two ways; the straight and narrow path of truth, lighted by the Holy Spirit or we can wander anywhere - believe anything with feelings new age churches.
Because we (the church) have suddenly become freed from the restraint of tradition. And surely we in part do both - we fall as babies as we learn to walk. This, I'm sure, is what's happening in the church today. I'm not saying it's a new thing, cause it obviously isn't. Though it might have become quickened in these times.
So with this freedom comes a mish mash of truth and error. People wandering this way and that. Both for those who have sat in the safety of tradition where the exercise of discernment has not been necessary and therefore not developed where even the very subjects of 'walking in the Spirit' and 'discernment' are confusing and undiscernable. To the new believer, who's never experienced the fetters of the traditional church and is open to, not only the truth, but also error. We all need to grow through exercising discernment.

The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of all prophesy. The essence of all prophesy is the Testimony of Jesus, ie Jesus' testimony to the Father of the works that The Father had given Him to do. At Pentecost according to the prophet Joel God would pour out His Spirit on all flesh and all would prophesy, both men and women. This is what the Apostles did, they told out the wonderful works of God. They testified to Jesus' testimony, as He rose from the dead and ascended on high and testified before the Father. to the works that He did on behalf of the Father.

So I’ve been inching my way through this video, reading along with quotes and such. Just wanted to point out at 41:30 he “quotes” page 112 of When Heaven Invades Earth as saying “Our hunger for God should be marked by our lustful pursuit of signs”, staying that Bill Johnson advocates signs should be more important than Truth. But I’m holding the book in my lap and (adding a bit of context too), it actually says...
“So how do we walk in the power of God? First, we must pursue Him. The life of power is a life of abiding in Christ, (staying plugged into our power source). The hunger for the demonstration of power must not be separated from our passion for Him. But realize this, our hunger for him in part must be seen in our last full pursuit of spiritual gifts. That is his command!”
    I think that’s a pretty important difference.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭16:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
You are highlighting extreme doings of this misled church which are created by familiar spirits. The gold dust and feathers are manifestations of the demonic. But you cannot throw the baby out with the bath water. If The Holy Spirit teaches you or speaks to your heart it will always line up with scripture. This is the litmus test. But to deny that God can and will use HIS gifts for His people is just as misguided as those in the far land of demonic deception. There is balance. Deliverance is scriptural yet I doubt in your churches you offer it to people. The word calls it the bread of the children. It was cut out of the faith in the early 1900’s. So the churches who run from the gifts send their mentally ill to psychologists and psychiatrist who teach and use a greater demonic view to try and cure mental illness but they never can. All they can do is manage it. Only pure deliverance, which JESUS spent 50% of his ministry doing can CURE them. To accept the basic tenants of Christendom does not mean we deny the Gifts of the Spirit. The gifts do not deny the truth of scripture. They facilitate it. But to attribute the gifts to these ungodly folks who are really far off using familiar spirits to produce ”miracles” is not declaring the truth. Scripture is filled with the results of the gifts. When you have been hurt by the false heretical teachings and doings it’s understandable to go to the extreme. But to toss out the true gifts of the spirit is nit presenting the entire truth. I’m so proud of what you’ve done. I just feel you’ve tossed a huge portion of truth aside. Love you and pray for you.
