- Hi guys Ted Voodoo again! Most of the time we have misconceptions about Baron(the lord of death),we get him mixed up with Papa Legba mainly because of how the media portraits him to be! In this video we talk about the difference between those two even though they have a lot of similarities,but the video is mainly focused on Baron! Nice video. Actually I realised that there are some similarities between Vodoun and Hinduism. Like Baron is the first person who died same story is of Yama Hindu god of death and Justice ( He decides what to do whether to punish you or to send you to heaven) and also the King of hell. He was son of Lord Surya (Hindu god of sun) and he was born as a human. And he was the first ever mortal to die and he lived a very righteouse Life so He also became the god of justice and king of hell.
This means Papa Baron can help in necromancy too , right?

Awesome video. I been recently researching voodoo theology. And had some questions. Is the baron seperate from Baron Samidi, is Samidi and Papa Ghede different, is Papa Ghede higher ranked than Samedi, and who is Baron Piquant, i have seen his name associated with La Croix and Samedi.
Baron samdi is the same as baron.. but there are many barons though.. papa ghede is different.. i need a whole video to explain all that
