I don’t agree that Chris is stingy. Both Max and Chris have an aversion to begging for money plus beggar fatigue and both will buy food for anyone. They both appreciate people who work hard at anything they even patronize their stalls and leave extra in appreciation. I remember Chris in Nepal, this guy befriended him then tried every trick in the book to extract cash from him . Now probably Max and Chris may realise why I was vociferously fighting the naysayers and hate mongers against Kolkata. Now that they have visited Kolkata and tasting the Kolkata food, let them be the judge about the city vibe and food. My first wish of them tasting the Kusum kathi roll is fulfilled (kathi roll was invented in Kolkata), now my other three food wishes I hope they fulfill. The Kolkata Biryani from Arsalan Park Circus, the Bengali thali at 6 Ballygunge Place main outlet and the Indo Chinese cuisine from Tangra ( Indo Chinese cuisine is also an invention of Kolkata). Also wished they stayed in ITC Royal Bengal and vlogged the experience there. Lastly, as they have now visited Kolkata, I hope they themselves can judge the naysayers multiple comments that Kolkata is a very dirty city and a big slum. Both Max and Chris have an aversion to begging for money plus beggar fatigue and both will buy food for anyone. They both appreciate people who work hard at anything they even patronize their stalls and leave extra in appreciation.
I remember Chris in Nepal, this guy befriended him then tried every trick in the book to extract cash from him . Finally, unsuccessful he took him to a grocery store and started to say his children were hungry needed milk etc. Chris was guilted but gracious while this guy filled up his order with all kinds of goodies. I am sure Chris had his doubts but paid the hefty bill graciously.
Both of them believe if people need food they will buy it for them but they don’t like handing out free money and why should we expect them too???

Now probably Max and Chris may realise why I was vociferously fighting the naysayers and hate mongers against Kolkata. Now that they have visited Kolkata and tasting the Kolkata food, let them be the judge about the city vibe and food. My first wish of them tasting the Kusum kathi roll is fulfilled (kathi roll was invented in Kolkata), now my other three food wishes I hope they fulfill. The Kolkata Biryani from Arsalan Park Circus, the Bengali thali at 6 Ballygunge Place main outlet and the Indo Chinese cuisine from Tangra ( Indo Chinese cuisine is also an invention of Kolkata).
Also wished they stayed in ITC Royal Bengal and vlogged the experience there.
Lastly, as they have now visited Kolkata, I hope they themselves can judge the naysayers multiple comments that Kolkata is a very dirty city and a big slum. They have visited many cities across India, so they can be the best judge. I'm not asking for a validation, just saying social media can be a real funny place to spread misinformation. 🙏🇮🇳

They mix up their political agenda up in everything and realise that we Bengalis are generally broadminded and forward thinking and evolve, not blindly following tradition. We are culturally an evolved community. They can't take it that our general knowledge level is good and we are aware of world affairs. Man when chris said about the motive thing that really moved me. That lady just wanted food the way she thanked you metled my heart.
We cross so many people asking for food in India and we just ignore them like they are just looking for a shortcut instead of working.. but we never think that it might've been a bad day for them. Maybe they couldn't afford their meal. That just breaks my heart. I promise I start earning myself and earning enough to feed my family the first thing I'll do is give it back to my locals!
