@@TheChrisVella You're quite welcome. I must have watched 50 videos on the key 37 until I found one (this one) that finally put it through its proper paces. Nobody wants to play to keyboard anymore so I can hear how it sounds as a lead. Thankfully, you did.
AKAI is out to dominate the DAW-less creation station market. This is an excellent demonstration of the incredible sonic power that you get from this platform. Great demo! Wanted to know that how did you connect the other keyboard and playing the same tones simultaneously? and also can you layer the tones like we do on workstations?
@supek6190 Yeah Takitamayaternsil5628 has basically answered that for you. The 61 key is overall a heftier machine but I quite like the compactness of the 37 key so it depends what you need it for. The Hype, Solina and Mellotron plugins are the only ones that're included for free with this right? We'd have to buy the other ones that you demo right?
I would say it holds up pretty well! Definitely enough quality to make some decent music from, I think it just requires some digging to find sounds that work for you as it’s absolutely stocked full of sounds. So some filtering will help. But there’s enough to keep you occupied for a while.
I'm a heavy rock guitar player. Sometimes I play the keyboard. At that time, I use a stage keyboard or a synth based on computer. Anyway, there's a lot of equipment, and I'm having trouble setting it up and transporting it. The Komplete Kontrol S49 and Maschine Soft have a wide range of capabilities, but they are not suitable for live performances. The space and area required for installation is also very limited. I'm currently thinking that mpc37 might be the best solution. I would like to go to the practice studio by bicycle or train without a car. A car is another burden to pay for parking and space. It takes extra time and effort. MPC37 can play patterns and play the keyboard without using a computer.
tip. When playing guitar sounds try to play like how you would an actual guitar (if you know how). Playing it like a keyboard doesn't do it enough justice imo. All the sounds are very nice though. Great demo/review.
Very good point! Sometimes I get carried away with just playing regardless of the sound but that's very true! Thanks for the heads up and appreciate the kind words :)
Not too sure on this one to be honest man, but there’s plenty of sounds I’m sure one of them will be similar or you could probably design the sound directly.

You can actually get these plugins as vsts normally on your computer. They’re made by Air Music Tech and they’re pretty mediocre. It has some simple, quick usable stuff, some good synth emulations and sounds, but mostly terrible acoustic and realistic intruments. Of course the guy plays pretty well which makes any sound sound good.
The vsts definitely do the job in my experience. I was actually quite surprised that it included plugins I’m already familiar with! And cheers about the playing, I think even for people that don’t play too much can get away with creating some decent tunes on here.
I have to agree on the quality of the acoustic emulations. I think the pianos and rhodes are sort of unimpressive. Mostly in comparison to something like my Nautilus. I wouldn't waste my money on their "top level" piano/rhodes/strings. Not only that, they take up a ridiculous amount of the memory. The MPC can handle fine with 2gb of RAM until you bring the Fabric and Studio Strings into the mix. The Stage versions are good enough. Overpriced, still. As far as the synths, they're good. If the user understands how synthesis works it's pretty easy to get good sounds out of them. The presets are pretty obnoxious in a lot of cases though haha.
Not value for money? I prefer mobility but really not willing to spend too much. Also, i dont trust software version on this. What if it becomes laggy overtime. Laptops come with constant software updates
Because it’s literally has the same software as a computer . It runs the MPC 2 software , I have a Mack book and a alesis vi25 midi keyboard with 16 MPC style pads . I have all the VST’s he’s using because it’s within the software, I have it and tons more

Yeah I think it serves a specific function. And might not be for everybody even if you’ve worked on other systems/ DAW’s. But I think for what you get in the package it’s quite decent.
May be a matter of preference but i found this extremely ugly. I’d anyday prefer a white or a black. Is that available? Also hows the key feel compared to kronos (if u hv played)
