Really bringing back some good memories here!!! I had 97 Mark VIII, it was my learner car, it's the car that I learned everything I know about cars on. Put a cobra intake on it, blue valve covers, exhaust, 4.10 gears, tune, all kinds of stuff. They really are great cars! I had mine for 13 years, and had a few other ones during that time as well. Love the show, look forward to following the progress!

Sweet combo Tony. We have those mod motors in Australia as 5.4 litres, theyre called Boss 260 as 3v and Boss 290 as 4v. Maybe pick yourself up an intake manifold and plenum from one of them, or better yet a Yella Terra plenum.
We got the 5.4 4V in the Mustang GT500 and the Lincoln Navigator, of all things. The Navi motors are stupid cheap and everywhere but they have an intake manifold the size of an apartment building so they take some work to swap into other cars.
That 4.6 sounds WICKED! The new tires, and wheels look killer to. With all the suspension upgrades the new transmission the new 4.6 it's really a COOL build! But come on Tony you need to build a set of stainless steel long tube headers. PEACE ✌️

I had a proper working mark 8 air suspension and it was so cool the car would drop on the highway for better aero :) I installed a led board so I could watch when the air solenoid would open to raise and lower the car.
Man I loved these cars… so cool to see. My 1st car was a 84 Mark Vii, hand me down from my dad when he got a 92 with the mustang 5.0.. This was the the cats ass to me when they refreshed the mark Viii’s
HAHAH, it was described as a NOS motor so I'm gonna assume it's got NOS gaps! It's a gamble for sure, but I don't think we are going to run more than 18psi, so cross those fingers!

Tony, if you havent already you should consider having your shirts made using some heavier shirts. I have no regrets buying a Stay Tuned shirt, but it was surprisingly thin and didnt last as long as I'd hoped. Granted, that was like 2 years ago. Possible that you've already switched. If I knew the shirts were beefier, like Gildan or something, I'd probably buy a couple more. Either way, love the channel and respect the hell out of you for doing things on your own terms and being around for your family.
The prolific use of doorman parts makes me happy. Genuine poor boy build. - munis the rowdy engine internals. I would be on that stock bottom, ebay turbo, run it for a day, put it back in my bay kinda setup lol
Tony inspired me to turn my 59 edsel into a drag beast. Lol 429 c6 fitech fuel injection 2 inch drop in the front with disc brakes. Just need to get a new 9 center so I stop blowing up rearends. Think I'd be able to maybe pull the front wheels off the ground

The turbo build was the first video that brought me to your channel. Glad you kept it ford powered with a proper motor/trans/ecu. Now throw a better turbo on it and I’m sure it will make power like proper built mod motors do
Love the content now that y'all are back on your own. Keep 'em coming! That 70mm is the business on the cheap. I've got one that's still living on my daily with 60k miles on it.
Do you expect it to last with the conecting rods clanking around like that when you touched/wiggled them. I would run hydraulic fluid instead of oil to make it a little thicker & last longer. It's got overhead cams so you have to double the compression ratio cuz it's got more than one, it's probably 17.6:1 Also it has ARP studs, so you compress the head gasket even more so you have to add compression for that too so it's probably 18 to 1 I would make sure you used 87 octane or less with a little lacquer thinner to keep the detonation nice and hot. Is make sure you use split fire spark plugs for boost. Most people don't know a lot about boosted engines but I learned myself. If you need some help let me know.

Pretty sure the 3 valve 5.4s are sohc and all boss 260 290 315 etc in xr8s and gt's are 4v dohc

What I do personally is cut the head off the third starter bolt then taper it and slot it to just be threaded in as an alignment stud
