Office complex doesn't mean an area is developed. Proper road spacing,good etiquettes and awareness in public, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene with utmost priority,good law and order in the region makes an area great. And india is already a cultural country with so many great historical sites that it can cash on for great tourism,these parameters will shape our country and we will become a cultural developed country 😊
BKC really needs to build public parking towers with public underground parking having CCTV, and then completely ban street-side parking. 4-lanes roads have become 2-laned roads, and 2-laned roads have become 1-laned.
There are parking lots around. The problem are mostly these yellow plate Ubers who don’t want to pay and end up clogging the streets by parking right under the no-parking sign. But yes, BKC could do with more parking lots in general.
Then what the police are doing in this country people do whatever they want no civil manner and police take no action.just charge them high amount after charging some people rest will stop doing this automatically

What separates a well developed area from a non well developed one? (vague statements won't work) Besides no, it is legally not allowed to discriminate like that. Not allowing auto rickshaws in these "developed areas" will only increase the gap between rich and poor. Maybe instead of hiding the poor and restricting their movement we could aspire to solve poverty itself. It's more hardwork and that's the biggest enemy of an Indian politician. India's GDP per capita isn't quite there yet in order to achieve all of it, but I think your country is growing fast so things will be different for sure, Mumbai is already different from what it was in 2015
I think its time we upgrade, mordenize the auto rickshaw because it looks like a black mole on beautiful face. Get it all electric and give them a futuristic design, make them more fuel efficient. Also, any automobile should be completely banned from being parked on streets as they affect the speed of vehicles and may also cause accidents. If these two issues are taken care of, then BKC will look no less then Dubai.

Even though the infrastructure is created. 4 lane road is basically a joke in India. Its only 2 lanes that people are able to use it to drive and the remaining 2 lanes are always blocked by vehicles. No proper traffic management and civic sense.

There are a few dedicated paid parking lots around. And all of these office buildings have parking spaces inside, albeit for only those who work there or are visiting.
The concrete roads need to be repaved with a fresh layer of asphalt and proper lane markings need to be done. Signage is also pretty bad. And please ban the autos here. It's shameful to see such third world jugaad in the CBD of our financial capital.

Interior roads of BKC are signal free. Only the main road (BKC Avenue) has signals at regular intervals.
Definitely better than slums but still extremely far from being comparable to the cities in Developed world. Looks very rough and unmaintained. People are walking on the road and crossing the road from middle, cars park on the road as it seems whoever planned this did not think of parking, dont know what this area looks like in rain and of course we all have no driving sense. Hoping to see those changes in near future.
