Mumbai really is upgrading! I just wish the driving etiquette was a little better as I saw several drivers drove in the bus lane in the tunnel etc but otherwise Mumbai is going to the next level!
Well, the infra looks great, but the civic sense and lane discipline that should accompany the same is still lacking. kudos to anyone who drives with this lawlessness
Every vlogger shows this same strech of coastal road. There are multiple interchanges on this road which literally goes above the sea, please try to show those interchanges as well which can give very different view of sea probably
It is a great pleasure to see that Mumbai is progressing now but I have seen many drivers not following the road and traffic rules. Some car drivers drive in the bus lane which should not be done and some people drive slowly even in the overtaking lane. If they want to drive slowly, they should change the lane. 80/90% of the drivers should give a retest of driving and learn the road and traffic rules and I request the Indian government to make strict rules so that attention is paid to those who violate the road and traffic rules.
OMG, this video is a lifesaver! 😅 I'm one of those "once in a blue moon" town visitors, and I knew I'd be hopelessly lost navigating all those interloops (are those even real?!). 24:24 But the new elevated sealink entry from worli is not open yet. So the cars wanting to board sealink from worli now have to get on costal road worli entry and then continue towards bandra via the Blue bow arch connector for now.

It's absolutely amazing 👍👍👍 In parts, it reminds me of a similar drive in Tokyo, except the Japanese capital is widespread in its growth and infrastructure. But it's a great start for Mumbai. The often used and abused city, milked for its taxes, had to wait close to 70 years for a Narendra Damodardas Modi to take charge of the country and build what should have been done in the 1950s. However, the crooks then decided their Swiss bank accounts needed loot! 👍
3:10 so many drivers think their car should be on top of the lane markers, as though they’ll not know if the car is going straight otherwise 🤦♂️ they don’t realise they eat up space of both the lanes

The roads of marine lines are so filthy! the lane markings are also barely visible. Also the pavements are too small for a big city like Mumbai, I hope it improves.
Why don't driver's drive in lane and why overtake from left when the first lane is clear also unfortunately some with poor vision or blind driver's drive into bus and hard shoulder You are driving fune good video keep it up thanks
Very nice video but you need to drive a bit slower even if it's an absolutely empty road. Covering this distance in 15 -20 mis is also fine. Take care.
The chances of Mumbai becoming a world class tier 1 city are very less. Mumbai has way too many slums, low gdp, absence of world class infrastructure like convention centers, marina for private yachts/boats, seaside boardwalks with high class entertainment venues, high end cruise terminals, insufficient metro trains, knowledge economy clusters, etc. Mostly Mumbai is plagued by issues all old metros in India are plagued by - takeover by poor people occupying critical land and waterways needed for development. On the positive side, Mumbai slum redevelopment is happening but massive Indian and global investments are not pouring into MMR area hampering Mumbai’s rise.
@@backpropagation8365 Maybe you are not from the city that is why these comments. We have 10 metro projects happening in Mumbai out of which 3 are operational. @ it doesn’t matter where I am from. I see the overall numbers like miles of metro network, square footage of convention centers, seaside leisure venues, cleanliness of waterways, road network density, urban high retail streets etc and Mumbai is nowhere near top tier East Asian cities. The low gdp of Mumbai’s at just $150 billion pretty much excludes Mumbai as a top city even in Asia. Shanghai/Shenzhen etc GDPs are $600+ billion each - that is 4 times Mumbai’s GDP - a huge difference. Until we see a minimum of $300-400 billion GDP for Mumbai Metro area, global people are not going to be impressed with Mumbai. Ideally MMR should target a $400 billion GDP by 2030 without any further population growth. Otherwise Bengaluru and Hyderabad will both beat MMR in the next few years. Both metro areas are easily on the path to become at least $200 billion GDP areas each in the next 4-5 years as both are growing in double digits. MMR is barely growing at 5-6%, pretty low per Indian standards. So time for Mumbai people to get serious and demand higher investments and double digit growth.

Mumbai cannot get to $400+ billion GDP without making its PCI in the upper income ranges. PPP is a bogus metric - good for discussions only. Nominal dollars matter.
